@@kernzyp -- Sorry man, can't remember which doc. One of the hundreds out there on UA-cam.... but I seem to remember it's one which features Bruce flying their 747 around. Also: it's not hearsay - it's Bruce and Steve themselves very candidly talking about their early shows together, Bruce telling us that he went straight to Maiden's mgr and said, "If Steve wants to hog the center of the stage all the time, then I'm out." And trying to force Steve away from the center by using his mic-stand, etc. Very revealing and funny.

@@MrNSFC I was 15 as well when I saw them in January of ‘ 85 in Cleveland, my first concert, and it was freakin’ amazing! Twisted Sister not so much! I some how had floor seats, although I remember standing the entire time and as I remember, they were $11!
The musicianship of all the members, they lyric writing, content and delivery are incredible. Iron Maiden has always been and still remains a rock solid band.

Kids I went to junior high with were into Twisted Sister and Mötley Crüe. I tolerated that stuff but preferred Priest and Maiden.

53 now and saw Maiden for the first time in Houston in 1985. Good and bad came from it. Good news, most awesome concert I ever saw. Bad news, everything since pales in comparison. So appreciative that I grew up in the rock era I did. What must young music lovers think nowadays when they see a performance like this? BTW, Tesla and Def Lppard in the round in Austin some years after that is a closish second place.

It s been 37 seven years since I listened to this song for the very first time from a borrowed cassette I never returned. It has to be my best mistake in lifetime (the initial owner certainly didn t bothered), because it is part of my life ever since. Magical Live Sound to my Ears.

i was there ,in 1983,at the long beach arena.long beach ,California. i was 15 .the show was so amazing me and my metal head /stoner buddy's went back the next night and bought scalper tickets and the show was even better.the fro the set,to the song list.and im 52 today and still have my ticket stub."UP THE IRONS"

Albums 1 thru 3 are my favorites with the 3rd album being the best. Many people will argue for albums 3 thru 5 but it’s Maiden’s 1st three albums that get the most airtime for me.

I saw them on piece of mind and then saw the power slave show. Piece of mind blew mine. Power slave was out of this world. When they did rhyme of the anchent mariner for 20 minutes, WOW. Iron Maiden was as good live as they were on vinel, yes they still made records back in those days better know as platters. After Adrian left the band they just never were the same.
I was at this show both nights and you wouldn't have to have sold your first born lol, because the tickets weren't that much ,seems like they were only 15-$20 ? Give or take. Great show though. One I'll never forget and I'm pushing 54 this year.
