We are so Blessed to see Nicko playing again after his stroke.
True! The man is still a beast!
I had no idea he had a stroke! for the first 2 minutes I was like: why is he holding back, seems like he's tired or just don't want to play like he usually does. Then I saw your comment.
@@marckferrer I saw a blog on it the other day. You should search it out. He came thru it fine, but it took some hard work !
Blessed? To see this crooked playing?
Seriously! I got to see them last year within the SAME year he had his stroke. Like, beyond grateful him and Bruce are still rocking after what they’ve been through 🙏🏻
That was incredible. Forty years ago Iron Maiden was scaring the pants off parents as they were going to corrupt the youth - and now they're basically a national treasure. Eff that. They're a global treasure. Can't wait to see Maiden live again this November in Fort Worth... where I saw them for the very first time back in 1988.
YES, THIS? CERTAINLY MAKES UP FOR ALL OF THIS SO CALLED DEVILS MUSIC 🤣. PRETTY GoD DAMNED COOL.
Maiden suck. Steve Harris and his music are good
@@1972BoNeZ666 I remember I hid these albums from my parents. lol
@@1972BoNeZ666 Why the ?
Maiden are a National Institution!!! 🤘🏻😎
The girl at 1:36 is singing without reading the lyrics and smiling towards Nicko... A true maiden fan!
yes yeah yes yeah!!!
practice make her singing without reading the lyrics.
Saucy!
noticed that
@@danialm8122 So I guess that neither the singers or the orchestra have practiced since they need the lyrics and notes.
Two Royal Marines shredding The Trooper solo has got to be the coolest thing ever.
I totally agree. 2 very good guitarists
They had to nail it. Either that or latrine duty for the whole week.
That sólo was incredible
The most Ironic thing ever, the song is about the white man invading foreign lands and killing the indigenous population, it's a protest song.
71 years old, after a recent stroke recovery, and playing amazingly! The joyfullness he shows while performing is incredible. As a fan and drummer, all admiration and respect.
Ditto in EVERY respect chap!
Nicko is an absolute legend 🥁
PLUS: playing with his back to orchestra and conductor!
Sir Elton, and Sir Paul can be knighted by the Queen. Having HM Marines play your songs is a much greater honor in my opinion!!!!
I agree!
I AGREE 💯 PERCENT!!! WELL SAID dannyruckert9359!!!!!!👍👍👍🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
HM Marines have played music by Sir Elton & Sir Paul
The guitarists are doing so well in resisting of making "The Face" when they hit the solos. 🤣
They were head banging a bit though! Lol😂
I know it's quite impossible to make a good bend without a guitar face.
As a 50 year old life long Maiden fan, I just want to say that this entire performance was incredible. However, any maiden fan that has listened to their catalog and knows every single note of maidens solos will tell you that the Marine on the left with the dark hair absolutely crushed it! His tone, note placement, bends, etc...was dead on the money! Well done Sir! You don't play that well just from reading sheet music. I promise you he's 100% a Maiden fan.
Great to see Niko powering away after his stroke, still awesome.
You can definitely tell though smh its too bad father time never loses. It was still great to see he's such a nice guy.
Nicko smiling is just cure for sadness. He's 72 and having a freaking blast doing what he's doing and he knows it's a freaking blessing which he shares with everyone around him.
I feel like crying about how lucky I was to be a teenager in the 80's.
Amen.
Gen X childhood was the greatest ever.

0.25-0.55 Aces High
0.56-3.50 The Trooper

Dude playing the Dave Murray, Fender looked like he was havin´the time of his life!
Also RIP to Iron Maiden´s first drummer, Clive Burr 1957-2013
After Winston Churchill I expected Aces High ... This set list didn't disappoint ! Love for the troops that keep war away.
Coreect! 30 seconds of the intro of it S Too short to mention it I thought 😀
Dio maledica per sempre uno degli eserciti più sanguinari e oppressori della storia che è quello di sua maestà (l'uso della lettere iniziali minuscole non è erroneo)
The guy with the strat did an awesome job ...
Was thinking the same thing
I didnt know Adrian Smith was a corporal in The Royal Marines lmao
I know both leads were on point.
Yeah! Obviously both fans!
he was having the time of his life man
If someone said to me 40 years ago I'd have an electronic phone in my car sat watching the Royal Marines playing Iron Maiden songs I wouldn't have believed them.
surely a dream come true for the guitarists
I'm 23 and I've been a Maiden fan for about 23 years! 😂 Dad's a Maiden fan and he made sure to raise his daughters right! My first ever rock concert was seeing Iron Maiden with my dad, my uncle, and my two sisters. Up the irons! 🤘
I took my son to his first concert, Iron Maiden, FRONT ROW when he was 7 years old!!!
It's great to see Metal music getting the respect the genre deserves.
Dude playing the Strat is on point. 👍
Nice to see Nicko enoying himself so much, what an honour to play HM Royal Marines bands!
What I love most watching this is the joy on Nico's face. Knowing what he's been through recently and here he is playing at the top of his game is inspirational.
I come here just to say one thing. This Gentleman is unique. Long live Master Nicko McBrain.
Hugs from Portugal! Your 2nd home! Up the Irons!🤘
Guy with the strat stole the show not only one of our countrys heroes but a legend on the axe too! 🤟
He nailed those solos. Especially the Wasted Years one.
Was looking for a comment like this :)
That was Absolutely fantastic. Nicko playing with the Band of His Majesty's Royal Marines. That Royal Marine Lead Guitarist was Brilliant. 💯% Guys well done 🙏👍
I was there, and it was even more epic then the video suggests... A proper treat for the lugs... They all blew the Royal Albert Halls dome roof off with this one! :)
Absolute brilliant... The whole show was, so much so... I'll be back next year, and if you havent seen them... Just go!!! ;)
Вживую концерт всегда будет лучше
Was it chills assns energy field? I could feel it I’m all the way in Australia
There are a few top Metal bands in the world, but the impact of Iron Maiden has no equal. They introduced Metal to the world.
The entire show was AWESOME! (Yes, I'm from the U.S.). Nicko was incredible. However, the entire Band of HM Marines is always a sight to see and a treat to hear. Special congratulations to your Marines on the Strat and the Les Paul guitars. They ROCK! I love it when there is a fusion of Rock/Metal and accompanied by so many instruments, with the iconic HM Marine snare drummers marching and playing with their military precision. BRAVO!
It is awesome to see how much joy Nicko have from that playing.
Post-stroke Nicko is still the best! That was soooo crazy!
Nope.
One of the finest bands in the world playing with one of the best drummers to songs from one of the greatest bands ever! What's not to love!
At least we can see Nicko now.
I'm American and I grew up with this song. I'm really impressed how well this is performed. The bass guitar...wow..hes's good. You guys are so fortunate to have a military band that can lay down the beats and someone who can orchestrate an old 70s song!
I have not any words to explain it.....Wasted Years is a very great treasure for me....thanks for all!!!
Moved me to tears. So beautifully arranged.
@@jcbass2u Me too...
And the biggest Iron Maiden Fan of them all got the best place in the house. Right behind the kit in front of the amazing orchestra.
Good to see Nico back after the stroke!
Oh wow, i've been listening to Iron Maiden for almost 40 years and this arrangement just blew my mind - Fantastic, Thank You 😎
Looks like nicko had an amazing time with this
Awesome!!! Love it how Nicko has a big smile on his face hammering the drums
The reward of sticking to it for a long time, I guess he would have loved to have his parents there....
Nicko sempre superando! Maiden!
Talk about irony? HM Royal Marines singing "Run To The Hills" - GENIUS!
That must have been one hell of a gig
Niko and his huge contribution to Heavy Metal drumming way to play... I'm curious if he's ready to face one more tour.
Iron maiden play music from the future. They time traveled to bring us some sweet jams.
I wish my wee friend was alive. The Trooper was what we sent him into the fire with. Now there's soldiers singing his song. He would have got a kick outta that.
Oh gods. What's not to love about Nicko? A very kind hearted, polite, always smiling and the best heavy metal drummer in the world. I'm so glad he has recovered from that scary stroke. Anyone else in his place would be complaining about their bad luck.
So glad to see Nicko back (and wearing his normal footwear). What a marvelous tribute to Iron Maiden. Up the Irons.
Lunga vita a voi grandi Maiden❤
I'm crying 😢

🙋♂️🙏
One word for this performance AWESOME 🤘🤘👏👏👏
The guitarists nailed it.
absolutely brilliant . with so many songs from maiden based around war and conflict , this was a treasure to watch
whatever we say, this band is a myth, a legend, the best that the metal scene has produced!!! a fanatical fan for 30 years... I hope to be here one more time, to see them again in Greece!!
May God always bless you Nicko and take care, get ready for the big event in 2025 50 years of Maiden🤘🤘🎸🥁🎤🔥🔥🔥☮❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉🎉
I've grown up with this band since I was a child in the 90s and I still listen to great music. Give all these musicians health and good luck, they need rest already, and if they still have gunpowder in their soul, They wet the metal .
Metal marines wow way to go.fantastic you done maiden proud .Bruce Dickerson proud and all the guys in Iron maiden.
Greatest Heavy metal group in the world.
Mother's and fathers thought their offspring would be corrupted by this sound.Yet here they are applauding it. How times change.
Should have had Bruce there to join in that would have been something.
I can't tell how much respect I have for this man. He's been a role model for me as a drummer, and a human being for the majority of my life. Seeing him play in all kind of settings with fans and collegues and of course with Maiden, he's always had a positive attitude and an open mindset towards the public. I absolute honour this. Seeing him with The HM Royal Marines in this video here just makes me bow my head in awe. Nicko, you truly are a master of your trade, and you are not nowhere near being finished with your mission yet! Looking forward to seeing you on the road in the future! And thank you, Nicko!
Wow! Two of my favourite bands playing together. Blown away. 🤘👌
After all this years he still has fun while drumming… keep on Nico… amazing…👍👍👍
Iron maiden is legendary! How awesome we get to still see this band in 2024.
2025. I hope in Sweden
Up the Irons! Per Mare, Per Terram. Amazing performance from all involved
What on earth? Amazing, how did this come together. Wow, Nicko, Legend. What a fantastic performance from all.
WOW! NICKO & THIS ORCHESTRA PERFORMANCE TOTALLY ROCKED!! 🤩🥳🥳🥳
BRAVO & THANK YOU!!! 🥁🥁🥁🎻🎸🎷🎺🎸🎵🎵🎶🎶🎵🎵🎶👍😎❤🤝💥💫💥💫💥✨✨✨
Clean my tears, i cannot see! 🥲
I think I have something in my eye as well.
40 years later and no one would fight for this island anymore!
You gave it to the Muslims. England is lost.
If this doesn’t raise the hairs on your arms and neck… then you have no soul or pulse!! Absolutely FANTASTIC!!! 🇬🇧🤘🏻⚡️. Royal Marines ROCK! 💪🏻
Much love and blessings Nicko 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Not gonna lie, this is awesome. Those guitar players need to get props.
Major Davis, you rock, keep up the great work. Congrats to all RMBS.
fantastic !! Maiden and the awesome talents of the HM Royals !! Thank you !
Awesome gig, sergeant on the guitar 🎸🎉🎉🎉
This has to be the Coolest Marines in the world! That Marine playing the Strat is an Absolute monster player, I’m going to name him Sargent Shredder!
One of the guitar player (mostly Dave Murray's parts) MUST be a fan of Iron Maiden. He must be. From Canada, Peace Out!!!
Who can't love Maiden?
We used to play RAF Northolt for the Royal Marines Band, they are a wonderful bunch of people, had some great times in the NAAFI with em ROCK ON guys and girls 💥❤💥
Absolutely fantastic. And nicko always looks like he's having a ball ❤
Man, this was awesome in several ways, is nice to see Nico after the stroke, just make me inspired.

Up the irons and long live nicko.
I saw this man just weeks after having a stroke playing with his usual fury live.
Love this
Go Nicki from the Baptist Health stroke team. So nice to see you thriving👍😍
Awesome concert! That guitarist with the strat is great, doin justice to the parts!
I feel like a cup tea after that. BRAVO!!!
For a guy who truly doesn’t play on time, Nicko managed to follow the leader this time out!
Nicko clearly shows his talent and to see the joy in his face when playing is awesome!!
Amazing! Nicko just had a stroke recently so I’m happy to see him back again!
Well done Niko, well done Royals! Up the Irons! Per Mare Per Terram!
Awsome ❤❤❤❤. The choreography of the tambourine gentlemen 🎉 fantastic
Wow, as a Maiden fan since their first album, it's great to see that the music can be adapted to suit all generations. This was a pleasure to watch
Excellent !!!
Fantastic recognition for Iron Maiden. They well deserve to be ambassadors of the English flag.
The performance of this military guitarist is excellent. Dream night for him...
Hugs from Lisbon. 🇵🇹
Up the Irons !💪🏻
Love to see Nicko having this much fun, if you asked them in the late 70s thru the 80s and 90s if he would be smiling this much after 50 years, Im sure its pure joy. I had 3 Iron Maiden posters in my room in Holyoke Massachusetts back in 1986, never even heard an Iron Maiden song, my girlfriend got me Somewhere in Time and I was hooked!!
You go Nic!!! Beautiful artwork on the kit too!
Aces High played that way, fully orchestrated, sounds almost like a Final Fantasy boss theme to me. Overall though, absolutely epic.
Fantastic - and they included my favourite IM song, Run To The Hills
Wow , it's amazing. Maiden forever
Wow so amanzing performace👍👍✌✌👏👏👏
I have grown up with the marines as my dad was one plus the band was always played in are house as kids and maiden seen loads in the passed amazing show that 👏 👍
Oh for god's sake, what is this? Well, this is a sonic tapestry of epic proportions, woven with the virtuosic threads of musical legends, the Massed Bands of His Majesty's Royal Marines and Iron Maiden's Nicko McBrain delivered a performance that transcended the boundaries of mortal comprehension, leaving the audience spellbound in a state of euphoric awe.
Stunning. What a great concert. Nico excellent on drums.👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Are you kidding me !!! This is not only a honor but freaking awesome for us , the military and Nicko . Awesome.
