The people of Chile are probably the best fans I've ever seen! Maiden puts on the best concerts and it shows just look at all the people there. I really admire the people of Chile they know great music and how to rock!! I seen them the first time in 1982 when I was 13 at the Spectrum in Philadelphia and what a hell of a show, They are still at the top of their game all these years later. Thank you Chile, your the best fans I've ever seen and for showing Maiden the respect they deserve!

holy shit! what a performance, i can't really tell how many times i have watched this song performed and never get tired of it, if this isn't metal at its pure form then i don't know what it is. Holy fuck! so uplifting the fast tempo of the song and Bruce interacting with the crowd, can't get better than that. long life to maiden and for what they have done for the metal world, for me the best band of the genre.
They are truly a Legend...I hope to see them some day again live. Past performances was Dayton & Cincinnati Ohio in '86 or so and 1990 in Orange county California when in my early 20s. Now...im 56 and I am so impressed with how these songs were written to begin with

de las mejores, pero no es mejor que otras de ellos como Dance of Death, Fear of the Dark, To Tame a Land, Phantom of the Opera, Seventh Son, etc... todas son muy parecidas, y me parece que se podría argumentas que cualquiera es la mejor
I've been going to gigs since I was a teen. My friend had never been to one. Maiden is her favourite band. I went with her to see them when they came back to Scotland. When Bruce came out on that stage she was like a teen girl at a boy band concert. All I kept hearing ws "OMG! It's Bruce!!!" She got that excited she grabbed both mine and the poor guy sitting on the other side of her leg. Great band, great night and an amazing reaction from my friend.

Dude today I was in gym class and you know pop, country, rap crappy stuff picked from the kids. That's the first thing that was bad but when we were playing a hand ball game I was goalie and I was kinda nervous not that great at sports. Blocked a couple but missed enough until we would lose and this kid man this k i d he has always been a pain he goes dude you cant do shit! I don't know man it kinda hit hard. So I came home and got on my drums and drummed to this. Thank you Iron maiden you kill my depression and give me power to play on the drums!
It's unreal how great Bruce sounds here! In my opinion, this tour was Bruce's vocal peak since the 90s. I didn't really notice it when I saw it live, but watching it over and over again on youtube....he really hasn't sounded better since the 80s, and he was like 53 years old when this concert was recorded! I gotta say, watching them on the Book Of Souls tour, I got a little worried about Bruce. Don't get me wrong: I still think he sounds absolutely amazing! But still, it was clear that the chemotherapy had damaged vocal cords a lot, and thereby he had some difficulties singing with the clear voice which he uses here. Bruce could still hit the high notes, but he had to do so using a much sharper vocal style, which is very exhausting for the voice in general. Now, chemo can have a huge aftermath, so im sure that Bruce just needs time to shake off the rust and clear his throat a bit. Hopefully the ongoing break will do him good. Because I actually think Bruce sounded better and better by each show during Book Of Souls 🙌
I think his peak was from Brave New World to Matter of Life and Death. Don't get me wrong, he stills sounds great here as he nails Talisman. My main point is that back then he had better lung capacity and could sustain the notes for longer. When I saw them at Maiden England in 2013 he was also great. He pulled off very demanding tunes (Moonchild , Seventh Son etc) From what I heard the chemo he had effects his saliva production and not his vocal chords. Thats thy I noticed the same as you in the early Book Of Souls tour. He couldn't control it quite well. But from what I hear in the last shows he was much much better. He is Superhuman after all. The best vocalist the heavy metal scene will ever witness.
@102118707167212282445 I agree on that. Bruce had more power during Brave New World. But I think he went downhill at Death On The Road & AMOLAD tours. I mean if you listen to their live DVD from Dance Of Death, I think he sounds significantly "worse" than he did at Brave New World (though still great) then at The Early Days tour, Somewhere Back In Time and Final Frontier, he gets back into perfect shape :) I just hope he gets back to being able to sing with his clear voice on the high notes, rather than pushing his vocal to be sharper -in order to reach them. Stuff ike that can really do serious damage to your voice! But as you say, he became better and better as the tour went along, and hopefully he will return even stronger in 2017 for the European tour ;)
I agree on the Somewhere Back In Time and Final Frontier he was spot-on. But I am a believer that the Rock in Rio dynamic , Death on the Road atmosphere and the epicness of AMOLAD cannot be touched. The little flaws Bruce may had (I cannot tell precisely since I am not a musician) are overthrowned by the epicness of these albums. I mean come'on , you cannot complain hearing Paschendale , Dance Of Death, Brighter than a Thousand sons, For the Greater Good Of God. Now we are getting off topic, but we seem to agree generally speaking. Cheers!

The atmosphere on Death On The Road was excellent, agreed. However, I think the sound broke it down, sadly. I don't know what went wrong, but the sound was just too thin, and Nicko's drums sounded weird....? But still, the whole stage show and so on was just perfect. AMOLAD was a good album, but playing the entire album live was maybe pushing it a bit in my opinion. But the sound was miles better than on Death On The Road - and they played Benjamin Breeg! :D

I was in my teens when I got hooked to the band unique sound , different than other heavy metal bands. Iron Maiden has got a great and loyal fan base globally. After 40 years they still perform amazingly.
Iron Maiden, AC/DC, Judas Priest, Van Halen, Scorpions, Queen, Sammy Hagar... The sounds and songs of my teens. God, the 80's were the best to grow up in!

It was 1985 I was just 19 at the time, best live performance I seen at that time!! No metal band played like them!! holy shit! what a performance, i can't really tell how many times i have watched this song performed and never get tired of it, if this isn't metal at its pure form then i don't know what it is. Holy fuck! so uplifting the fast tempo of the song and Bruce interacting with the crowd, can't get better than that. long life to maiden and for what they have done for the metal world, for me the best band of the genre.

I've been going to gigs since I was a teen. My friend had never been to one. Maiden is her favourite band. I went with her to see them when they came back to Scotland. When Bruce came out on that stage she was like a teen girl at a boy band concert. All I kept hearing ws "OMG! It's Bruce!!!" She got that excited she grabbed both mine and the poor guy sitting on the other side of her leg. Great band, great night and an amazing reaction from my friend.

Dude today I was in gym class and you know pop, country, rap crappy stuff picked from the kids. That's the first thing that was bad but when we were playing a hand ball game I was goalie and I was kinda nervous not that great at sports. Blocked a couple but missed enough until we would lose and this kid man this k i d he has always been a pain he goes dude you cant do shit! I don't know man it kinda hit hard. So I came home and got on my drums and drummed to this. Thank you Iron maiden you kill my depression and give me power to play on the drums!

It's unreal how great Bruce sounds here! In my opinion, this tour was Bruce's vocal peak since the 90s. I didn't really notice it when I saw it live, but watching it over and over again on youtube....he really hasn't sounded better since the 80s, and he was like 53 years old when this concert was recorded! I gotta say, watching them on the Book Of Souls tour, I got a little worried about Bruce. Don't get me wrong: I still think he sounds absolutely amazing! But still, it was clear that the chemotherapy had damaged vocal cords a lot, and thereby he had some difficulties singing with the clear voice which he uses here. Bruce could still hit the high notes, but he had to do so using a much sharper vocal style, which is very exhausting for the voice in general. Now, chemo can have a huge aftermath, so im sure that Bruce just needs time to shake off the rust and clear his throat a bit. Hopefully the ongoing break will do him good. Because I actually think Bruce sounded better and better by each show during Book Of Souls 🙌
I think his peak was from Brave New World to Matter of Life and Death.
Don't get me wrong, he stills sounds great here as he nails Talisman.
My main point is that back then he had better lung capacity and could sustain the notes for longer.
When I saw them at Maiden England in 2013 he was also great.
He pulled off very demanding tunes (Moonchild , Seventh Son etc)
From what I heard the chemo he had effects his saliva production and not his vocal chords.
Thats thy I noticed the same as you in the early Book Of Souls tour. He couldn't control it quite well.
But from what I hear in the last shows he was much much better.
He is Superhuman after all. The best vocalist the heavy metal scene will ever witness.
@102118707167212282445 I agree on that. Bruce had more power during Brave New World. But I think he went downhill at Death On The Road & AMOLAD tours. I mean if you listen to their live DVD from Dance Of Death, I think he sounds significantly "worse" than he did at Brave New World (though still great) then at The Early Days tour, Somewhere Back In Time and Final Frontier, he gets back into perfect shape :)
I just hope he gets back to being able to sing with his clear voice on the high notes, rather than pushing his vocal to be sharper -in order to reach them. Stuff ike that can really do serious damage to your voice! But as you say, he became better and better as the tour went along, and hopefully he will return even stronger in 2017 for the European tour ;)
I agree on the Somewhere Back In Time and Final Frontier he was spot-on.
But I am a believer that the Rock in Rio dynamic , Death on the Road atmosphere and the epicness of AMOLAD cannot be touched. The little flaws Bruce may had (I cannot tell precisely since I am not a musician) are overthrowned by the epicness of these albums.
I mean come'on , you cannot complain hearing Paschendale , Dance Of Death, Brighter than a Thousand sons, For the Greater Good Of God.
Now we are getting off topic, but we seem to agree generally speaking.

The atmosphere on Death On The Road was excellent, agreed. However, I think the sound broke it down, sadly. I don't know what went wrong, but the sound was just too thin, and Nicko's drums sounded weird....? But still, the whole stage show and so on was just perfect.
AMOLAD was a good album, but playing the entire album live was maybe pushing it a bit in my opinion. But the sound was miles better than on Death On The Road - and they played Benjamin Breeg! :D

Iron maiden is one of the few bands where all the members are actually performing live. No relying on some CD playing in the background.
amo el metal ... larga vida a los grupos que nos quedan y que les enseña a estas nuevas generaciones la verdadera musica ..soy metalero de corazon aun con mis 64 años sigo en este mundo mis hijos y mis nietos esta igual que yo de locos jajaja espero que salga alguna banda que llene los zapatos de estas bandas ..
Nosotros tenemos que darle fama la nueva bandas...tiene mucho potencial
