@@hydralicmonkey6490there used to be a time where Perry had good vocals. He’s just been ruining his voice for ages with all the drinks, drugs and screaming though.
I've seen over 100 bands live and many of them very popular/mainstream/famous, and lots who are not, and Pearl Jam was the best live band I ever heard. No theatrics, no props on the stage, no hype-men jumping around like monkeys, no need for topless women. Just a superhero vocalist/frontman who had a fantastic voice and wrote incredible songs with wonderful lyrics and a team of brilliant musicians who brought in killer riffs and music and their own magical touch in songwriting.
Eddie used to swing from the rafters, of any venue he could do it, and fall to the crowd below, at some of them. But, I get what you’re saying. I got to see them a few times. Saw them in 92’, then a couple more times, years later. During the tour for Yield, then when they toured the album after, Binaural, I think. It was after 9/11 though. So maybe a couple years after that album. They sound as good as a band can, as far as the mix in the venues, and the sound onstage. I’ve been to one really long one, they did, and two long ones. The last tour had some songs I didn’t like as much, but they were still playing songs from the first album, with the same intensity, as a decade prior. Rhey
@@CorbCorbinyeah if it was after 9/11 that was their 2003 tour in support of the album Riot Act put out in 2002. I have every show on disc from both binaural tour in 2000 and 2003’s riot act. Amazing night in night out
Well said and spot on. Ive seeen them over 20 times I got a couple of standouts. First time hear crown of thorns I think in 2003 Vegas mgm. Elderly woman at Barclays in 2008 I think. Also Indifference with the lights on in Jersey. randalls island was crazy as well.
I was a 94 type of guy with the beastie boys and what should have been nirvana….but 94 was the tipping point of commercialism of it and what eventually led to the down fall of it
I saw Pearl Jam in Denver at Lolla 2 in 92' and Eddie jumped off of the top of the swinging curtains of Fiddlers green. Certain death without being caught. He was a maniac back then and they sounded PERFECT! I saw Perry the year before, same place, close Lolla 1 and what I can say about him is that Perry's songwriting is off the charts and Janes Addiction sounded great incredible closing the show.
Fun fact: That 'famous picture' of Vedder jumping into the crowd from a great distance was actually from 'Pink Pop' festival in the Netherlands in 1992.
Love the irony of seeing James addiction stop a show (circa ‘99) because someone through a water bottle. To today. Stopping a show because this guy threw a punch.
This is a ridiculous attempt at revisionist history. Way before they were touring with Lolapalooza, they were a huge band topping the Billboard chart and getting heavy rotation on MTV. Either Perry was living in a cave in the middle of nowhere or he's lying. They were one of the biggest bands in the country, which is why they were headlining Lolapalooza instead of on a side stage. How tf would an organizer of the event not know one of the headlining bands? lol Hell, PJ performed at my university in May of 1992, which was crazy at the time. The student union had booked them before they took off, but by the time the concert came around, they were one of the biggest bands in the world.
His name was a play on the word peripheral, alluding to being off to the side or different from the mainstream but then he went and got a trophy wife and "fixed" his nose. Guess money really does show who people are inside.
Looks at this total hack. How in the world did he ever made one red cent as a musician. Funniest thing in the world was he acting like a tough guy trying to beat up Dave.
Perry is awesome
No
This hasn't aged well 😂
@@Lizzie-h3j hate to say it but I have to agree

❤ Perry Farrell!!
Still?
Check out those isolated vocals from his most recent stunt. Dude is ass. 😂😂😂😂

Best live band ever!!! Seen them 3 times and it’s always been an amazing energetic show that never disappoints!! Love my PJ posters!!
PJ touring Ten was
Mesmerizing. I watched grown men crying during Black. 🖤
Grown men like Perry boy here? 💅 nice neckerchief Per
The first 3 Lollapaloozas was a sight to behold. 91. 92. 93
💯 % agreed!

PJ's my all time favorite band but I had such a great time seeing Perry and JA in Seattle in 97.

I went to that lolapalooza 23 days before I left for basic training 1992….. time flies
92 LalaPalooza Los Angeles was the best fkn show I've ever seen! 🤘
PJ is the best live band I have ever encountered. Best rock show you’ll ever see

Pearl Jsm made Pearl Jam happen.
Perry Bernstein
he looks like charlie watts
Crispin Glover Charlie Watts mashup.
how do I look older the Perry Ferrell WTF
Loop effect is annoying
"Let me see what this guys got" LOL, guys not fit to clean Pearl Jam's toilet.
This dude is fried.

Woody in toy story 5
I'm never going to unsee that now.
Take Jane's Addiction over Pearl Jam any day. You heard one PJ song you've heard them all.
Nah. But you’re entitled to your I will say uneducated opinion.
doesn't have to be an either or. i think they both kick ass and listen to them both.
Hahahahahhaha 😂 you obviously have not heard them all
I feel the same way about Jane’s addiction I do like them though so fair is fair I reckon
Substance over style. Imo, Pearl Jam's songwriting game is better.
Please, they get boring after 2 songs. Insanely overrated.
Mother Love Bone better
