The courtroom thermostat must have been turned up because I didn't hear anything particular "heated" during this exchange. "Dopey Cross Examination" might have been a better title, given the lawyer's "didn't drop dead" question.

The tactic is to confused the person. One officer say put your hand on the dash, another officer say put ur hands on your head. Now, which officer's command do u comply to? Confusing! Two officers yelling 2 different commands. The result: he or she different listen to me. Didn't listen to which me? He or she doing 2 or 3 different commands. As for Mr. FLYOD, dash to head. He didn't need a hearing aid. It's just one of the oldest ploys to give yourself more time to come up with a BS answer. When someone lies and then is questioned they use this "I can't hear" trope to try and remember what lie they told. Also, when someone starts looking to the left or up at the ceiling like he was also doing, it's a sign that the person is most likely lying. It's a body sign that the brain is trying to work hard at remembering a lie.
