@@navip1927 You can peddle your opinion elsewhere, because the ME and the subsequent examination, both, disprove your narrative. Chauvin transferred his weight to that "floating knee" after Floyd had voided in the street; watch it again, it's subtle, but it is there. Nothing accidental about that, and it would have killed anyone because it cut off oxygenated blood flow through the carotid artery to the brain (only takes 4#s of pressure). Compound that with simultaneous pressure on his chest so his lungs were unable to expand.
@kanuk the hunter I appreciate your view point on this... I wrote a bit of a long reply. It might be too long for you to respond to, but if you have time I'd be interested in more of your thoughts. Initial portion of prosecution -was spent establishing witnesses' MMA credibility to recognize a choke (either air or blood) and to establish his presence at the scene. Some of his testimony had some confused words mixing air vs blood, throat vs side of the neck. (I think this happened at least twice) The prosecution attorney could have asked clarifying questions; but in at least 2 cases, he did not. He went into the Shimmey argument. Donald demonstrated with his arm. Perhaps the language he used did not clearly spell it out, and again, the prosecution attorney could have asked clarifying questions, but I basically understood he was trying to prove that Donald recognized Chauvin was trying to “dig it in” (those are my words) I don’t know if this registered in the minds of the jury, but I’d say this was the prosecution's attempt - to prove he recognized a shimmy movement to make the blood choke effective. He did offer more information than he was being asked, and the judge did have to ask the Jury to go out of the room to explain how to limit his responses and have the attorney be more specific in his questions. (which probably wasn’t Mr Williams fault - and the attorney admitted that) Then they lost the video feed, and that ended the first day of his testimony. Next day, prosecution launched into the 911 call. I thought that exchange was effective. I think it would register in the mind of the Jury that he felt so shocked and that injustice had been done by what happened that he called 911 - calling the Police on the Police. I’d say that sequence was pretty effective - his appeal and accounting on the 911 call seemed accurate and honest. Obviously we could see and so could the Jury see how emotional and stressful it was for him to listen again to the 911 call and review the events in his mind. He felt it was the right thing to do, he didn’t know what else to do. In the 911 call - he said “officer 987” in the trial he pointed at Chauvin. I think this exchange was effective. My sense would be that this would stick in the minds of the Jury. Defense started out with this discussion about Flow in wrestling. (I don’t think that proved any valid or relevant points) it was pretty much inconsequential. Then a series of questions about choke holds. And, he was trying to establish MMA is a sport with rules, and there are weight classes. And he switched from wrestling to Martial Arts or Mixed Martial Arts… that whole sequence of questions didn’t seem substantial - in my opinion. The attorney tried to interject that the referee had to lift a fighter's arm to confirm they were out. Donald didn’t agree with that. He said, most fighters know when the guy they are fighting is out. (so I’d say Defense didn’t score any points on these lines of questioning) Then Defense goes into the difference between air chokes or blood chokes. To me, it would be clear a knee to the side of the neck would not be an air choke. If a person’s windpipe was closed off, he wouldn’t be able to talk. This was a blood choke. Defense tried to establish a typical MMA blood choke would apply pressure to both sides of the neck at the same time cutting off both carotid arteries, the witness did not agree with this. (I’m not an expert in MMA or a medical expert, so I don’t know if a blood choke on one side only could be effective at cutting off enough blood flow to the brain to cause unconsciousness) but I’d say that is what the Defense was trying to establish there. And this could be brought back in later (during testimony of medical experts) Defense seeks to establish this principle that if a person becomes unconsciuus because of a blood choke, and you release the choke and they become conscious again that they could start fighting again. I could see maybe why he might want to do this… but that would not seem like a good suspect control technique, right? Apply a blood choke till they pass out. And don’t let it up because if they wake up and start fighting again, you’d have to try to make them pass out again. (but there are so many differences between MMA Sports matches and an officer trying to control a person under arrest) I’d say that whole series of questions would not help the case for defense - unless I’m missing something. Next worked as a security guard, - angry crowds…. This was probably the Defense’s best angle of attack. (and this is the point you are making) I actually think Donald did a good job in this sequence where he said he had the ability to keep under control even if a crowd became upset. The Blood coming from Mr. Floyd’s nose and mouth. Established previously this injury happened in the car, not from his face being pushed into the pavement. Defense may have felt they scored that point. (but this is not a major point or a factor contributing to death - unless I’m missing something that could be presented later. Then defense launched into the line of questioning about the witness becoming angrier. (which Mr Williams agreed to at times) But… I think the Jury, who are normal people also understand - like Mr Williams said at one point I grew More and More Pleading for life. So defense may try to use this, as if to say the officers needed to control the crowd, and it may have put them on the edge, but I don’t see how they could use that to justify the knee on the neck. I think a jury member would understand the emotion of a witness pleading with the officers. So I’m not sure that is going to help defense in the minds of the Jury or not. I guess we will see. One thing the Defense attourney said which I think was unfair and not correct was to say the Mr Williams said to Officer Tau, the he hoped he would shoot himself in the future… Mr Williams did not go along with that, because from the 911 call, you could clearly hear he did not say he hoped for that…. So I think this went against the defense - so all of the questions about what went on after Mr. Floyd was in the ambulance - I don’t see how that will benefit the defense - unless I’m missing something. It may have seemed to some, like he was being resistive to answering with simple yes or no answers, but to me, I saw a pretty tough guy, who is a fighter… who wasn’t going to let some “smart” lawyer control him and limit his answers to only tell the story the way the defense attorney wanted it told. When Prosecution came back for redirection, I think some good points were scored. Major point made here was in regards to dealing with upset crowds - without using force. And Mr. Williams said, Staying Calm and - Listening to the Person, being humane with the person. I think this was natural, and fit right in with his plea that he was not being listened to. Prosecution tried to push for some answers that had sustained objections - leading to a couple of Sidebar conversations. When defense came back up - the question about having a conversation with an opponent as you were being rendered unconscious - I think that was a bit of a desperate question - didn’t make sense. Then when Prosecution came back for the final time… and presented the “Tap Out” illustration… I think that was well done. Mr Floyd and the onlookers who were vocal were pleading and that was their “ tap out” but there was no ref there to stop the fight… and Chauvin did not honor the tap out… I think ending on the Tap Out … was effective.

And this black man knew about mixed martial arts and suffocation techniques and just so happened to see Floyd on the ground and knew something wasn’t right. He felt it was the right thing to do, he didn’t know what else to do. In the 911 call - he said “officer 987” in the trial he pointed at Chauvin. I think this exchange was effective. My sense would be that this would stick in the minds of the Jury.

Dude is a loser, no more no less.
This does something to my spirit😥

Nerve wracking? Where ya mom at? Lmao, stay in school and off UA-cam
@@stleo6069 liking ur own comments is sooo childish 😁
@@stleo6069 damn bro i know you're not talking with that profile banner of yours, anyways your mom called you and said the pizza rolls are done. Bring me some when you can.
@@stleo6069 you probably grew without one?
When you are witnessing a murder you want to call the police but the police are the ones committing the murder 🙃😭
I hope more of humanity speak up like Mr. Donald Williams and the rest of the witnesses that tried to help. So many people are in trouble and people have stopped caring and stopped getting involved because of selfish reason. There are still great humans in this world that are God’s people. Bless all of these witnesses they didn’t judge Floyd they seen a human that needed someone to care.
oh my, first time hearing that call and cant believe I never thought about how the witnesses must feel like, and what they have been going through. I am sure they probably have PTSD and really hope they have been offered and provided therapy. He did the right thing calling the cops on the so called 'cops' on scene. I pray that you can sleep at night without nightmares. God bless
Those cops murdered George Floyd.
Such a beautiful human being
I think that former Officer Tao should be held accountable also. If someone stands guard while someone is killed during the commission of an armed robbery, they are also charged. That's exactly what Tao did
Chauvin need to go to jail forever period
Even before being found guilty?
@@jonburrows2684 bitch the whole world seen the found guilty video
No he doesn't. Floyd had hard core drugs in his system and he showed up with the intention to victimize a business. Chavuvin used a manuever that was taught to him by his department. Floyd is dead because of the poor decisions he made in life.
@@jeremiahartis9677 have u seen the full video where they all are concerned about his well being while he is resisting arrest for a long period of time and all three officers make sure EMS is on there way
@@defoperator7993 he was on drugs at the time the wasn't resisting he was trying to breathe
Mr. Williams did a great job Testifying. Thank you for calling 911 ... You are a #HERO. J. Hansen is a #HERO she is the EMT that wanted to help.
God bless him
