I was always more of a Gabriel era Genesis fan, but I’ve continued following the band faithfully since the early 70’s. I’ve got a lot of respect for Collin’s and what he’s going through. I hope these performances aren’t too painful for him. If they come through California, I’ll definitely attend. What a remarkable band they’ve been for so many years. None of us are here for long, and few can ever hope to contribute so much to so many.
I went to Manchester The first time! have seen them live, never been able to get tickets, seen Phil Collins 3/4 times love the album 3 sides live and all the albums, love the concert in Rome it was amazing and despite Phil being in poor health he did a fab job loved every minute of the concert highly recommended I am so happy i have seen them live. fantastic concert fantastic night, Nic collins amazing. stage sets and graphics and lights amazing glad the generator got fixed, shit happens lol
Its crazy how much better his singing got from just a few concerts. People shit on him for this reunion but what the hell else is he going to do? Waste away? He already spent enough time doing that.
I saw them on the third night in Birmingham and he got better after the first song. I'm going to see them again this Friday in Newcastle. Phil said in an interview that he never practises at home.
I’ve been a big Genesis fan for years and have seen them 6x in concert. I’m so glad they’re back together again doing this! It’s wonderful to hear the music live and to see the light show here…amazing. Tony and Mike can definitely still bring it, Daryl is always fantastic, and Nic is a chip off the old block with his excellent drumming. I love Phil, and it’s good to see him also. Phil strikes me as somebody who’s had a stroke. Not a major one, but his poor health is certainly noticeable. I hope his health improves, I love the guy. He’s an incredibly talented man.It must be tough for him to do this, and I’m praying his health improves.
I was at the September 21st show in Birmingham. Had a bostin’ night listening to these living legends ! They’ve been my idols since I was 14 years old, I’m now 48 ! I can honestly say there’s not one genesis album I dislike. The so called artists of today could learn a lot from these guys. 👍
Phil, you are a magnificent artist. Thank you for being part of my musical experience. My life is sweeter with your music in it💖. Saw Genesis at Oakland coliseum in the 80s and your solo on Day on the Green in the bay area. They were fantastic with my kids. And yes I played your music to my kids and they love it too💗. It hurts my heart to see you to this way. Your music will live on forever. God Bless you, Phil.
I guess it’s the experience as much as Phil’s voice. I thought he did OK considering. They have earned respect and loyalty and nice to see the fans offer exactly that. Well done to all 👏👏
True. Chester is one of the best, no question, but his kit always had a different, distinct sound. Just the fact that it's Phil's bloodline makes it very special.
Well I've seen them now at Liverpool and it was brilliant! Interesting seeing the original rehearsal list in the tour Programme includes Los Endos, as well as Jesus He Knows Me, which was left out as well... 'Jesus..' I can understand as it's a fast song for Phil to sing now but can't see any reason for L E not too be there.. Nic seems quite capable of handling the drums. They left it out on the Way We Walk tour in 91 but it was included in 07 so I honestly thought they'd definitely have it this time, for old time's sake 😔 Anyway it was great to see/hear Cinema Show and Firth of Fifth there 👍🏻 Also, after the show my son surprised me with telling me he's got two tickets to see them on the last show off the tour at the o2 😁😁 so that'll be amazing! Thank you Chris! 😁 x
Shambles that you didn't included the Mama's laugh part. That's one of my fav. No, I didn't attend the concert if you ask me. I live far away in Southeast Asia.
People saying it is age, no it is not, Phil is suffering from poor health and has clearly lost the ability to sing properly. Tom Jones is over 10 years older, and still have a magnificent voice. If you can sing, you can sing. Phil could sing, but his health and his decision to no longer practise singing, has left him as we hear. I am going on 11th October, and no what I will be seeing. Seen them so often in the past 50 years, that I wanted to see Tony live and Nick again, great young drummer
Es dificil para los que somos fans los tonos estan distintos para encajar la voz ya deteriorada de Phil yo creo ya es solo algo de respeto para Phil pero en realidad ya no es lo mismo que pena pero es muy evidente la decadencia .
I don't mean to sound negative and disrespectful ( I really don't ) but compared to their previous AMAZING work this is a train wreck. I know he's in poor health but him potentially delivering a dreadful blow to his fans announcing his retirement would've been more respectful than what he's doing here. They're obviously doing this to rake in the pounds whilst they still can, with little disregard for their fans loyalty, and their legacy. Deep down, you're only as good as your last performance and whatever reference is made about the band in the future it will always be tainted with what they're doing here.... Shame 🥺
J'y étais ! Quel bonheur !

Correct and mainly because of those problems with Orianne.
As Tony Smith said in a docu, "What else are we gonna do, "GARDENING"?
I prefer the imperfect Collins. His singing moved me like never before.

Legends love them especially Phil..

I was there, fantastic night! So glad we finally got to see them 😃
If it was a choice between seeing these guys and Steve Hackett, it would be Hackett for me every time.
Glad this seemed like a good night, going to see them tomorrow in leeds hope it has the same energy as this 😊
Rock On Phil! You still got it mate :)
Great sound and vision and stable filming, well done and thanks for sharing. :-)
Lots of tears from the crowd at the end of Afterglow!
"Afterglow" very good performance.

top👍
thanks for sharing, was a stunning gig
G E N E S I S ❗❗❗
Phils son does an amazing job on drums. Nothing bad about Chester, but this is how Genesis sounds on drums
True. Chester is one of the best, no question, but his kit always had a different, distinct sound. Just the fact that it's Phil's bloodline makes it very special.
Sadly phil could not play drums anymore, but nic collins can replace his father to play drum amazingly, this Genesis show is still fantastic for me
I saw them in Manchester and Leeds...brilliant. Does anyone know what the intro music is just before they come stage?
It’s called dead already from American beauty
Wouldn't it be cool if the stage tilted during Second Home By The Sea?
I'm glad i gave it a miss. Would of wound me up seeing people with their bloody phones in the air.
Sorta disappointing that their setlist has zero songs from A Trick of the Tail.
I can't believe there's no Volcano/Los Endos! :-( .....THE only way to finish a gig!
@@andrewlee6009 At a minimum, Los Endos should've been there. That's an ultimate closing song.
Well I've seen them now at Liverpool and it was brilliant!

4:17 did some say "i love Gabriel?".😂
Show but there are many light
It’s so painful to watch after seeing this band perform in there prime in 92 I can’t dance tour.
They could have added wot gorilla for old times sake.
is Phil singing in slow mo?

His voice has gone we all get old
not as bad as Axl Rose haha
There's being gone and then being weakened with age. He can still bring it, quite clearly.

Sad. Very sad.
