Had the pleasure of being there on the first night of this tour in Birmingham. It goes without saying that Phil's health is not good, but I wouldn't have missed this last chance to see them. Phil did great and the concert was fantastic. Phil's son Nic was tremendous on drums, definitely one to watch for the future!! Long live Genesis!!
Have had the privilege of seeing them in Liverpool on Sunday. My beloved husband had followed them since day 1 and he sadly passed away 3 days before they announced this tour. I had to go in his memory and I gave to say I was blown away. We had seen Phil on his “not dead yet” tour at Royal Albert Hall and Nick was playing the drums. That was another amazing show and to see him join Mike, Tony and Daryl again after 14 years has just about blown my mind. Good luck with the rest of the tour keep well and thank you all for a wonderful evening 👍
Gene!is por siempre ...los Amo
I’m so Sorry for your loss.
Thank you for sharing this, sending you love.
Thanks Pamela. I was at the Liverpool show and it was brilliant 🤩
Some people just don't understand. I am going in Dec to the Philadelphia show. This will be the 1st and only time I will get to see Phil and Genesis. Life got in the way to be able to see them in person but have seen many shows on video. The music is still great and as he said in his solo tour "I'm not dead yet". These are absolutely older musicians who know their craft not like some today. He is only 5 years older than me and health goes but the passion a person has does not die and this is his. I think he sounds really great for his age. His son Nick is awesome on the drums and you can tell it is killing him not to be playing drums as well. I give him all the credit in the world cause I see a lot of seniors just stop what they love cause of a challenge in their lives but although he may have to stop after this he at least will stop and quit with knowing their will always be fans and people in this world who he made happy and possibly made a difference in their lives. Thank you Phil, Mike, Tony, Daryl and Nick for your dedication to the Art of Music.
I understand, I'd also waited a very long time to see them and thankfully the Newcastle dates finally happened. You won't be disappointed! They were worth the ( my ) very long wait. You'll love it, it will be immense/epic/awesome/whichever adjective you prefer. Now get yourself aboard the hype train - toot, toot!
Amen. You and me feel the same way. Genesis is my favorite band. From Trespass to We can't dance. I never stopped listening to them. My ultimate dream was to see them reunited with Steve Hackett and Peter Gabriel. Obviously it will never happen now. But I would pay to go see them live now or 10 years from now. I love these guy's.
I absolutely agree. I'm going to fly from Israel to London to see them. I also never saw Phil or Genesis live. This is the last chance and I'm not going to miss it for the world (or COVID). I've so many hours listening to Phil and Genesis, I really don't care if they are old. I can hear them young in youtube if I want. But to see them for real. Nothing beats that.
Well, you sure Chick-Splain'd the heck out of that.
My daughter & I were also at one of the Philadelphia shows that December. I have seen Genesis, as well as Phil Collins Band, many times over the years. It was my daughter's first time. We understand.
40+ years with this magnificant band .. and this is the end .. I´m so sad and crying everytime I watching this video :-) Genesis - by numbers - had a huge impack on my musical understanding ... Thank you so much :-)
Nic is outstanding on drums. Sounds strong and heavy.
@@topdog91 that kid is freaking destroying it like a master!
He does sound great. Now we just need kids from Mike, Tony and Daryl to keep Genesis going.
Nic can sing too ua-cam.com/video/OiZwZ3j0nwc/v-deo.html
@@topdog91 not a patch on Chester Thompson.
Born in 78 I discovered Phil first, but when that lead me to Genesis my whole musical world opened up. Thanks for this. I can’t name a favorite or least favorite era of Genesis because I love them all. They are just that great!
Heading to PNC tonight to see them and can't wait! Their music has been a huge part of my life. God bless them all for helping me tap into some great memories. Saw them in Chapel Hill back in the 80's. Thank you for your music and the incredible impact you have had on my life!
Thank you so much for doing this, Mike. I've really appreciated all your recent Genesis videos.
And whilst my dream of seeing them play live will never happen, sadly, at least I get to experience this.
Thank you so much.
So sorry about that. I missed the 2007 tour and wasn't gonna let this one slip by!
More to come! I'm taking a road trip for the Nov 20 show in Charlotte and will be videoing the whole show again!
BTW - you can download the whole show in one file or all the pix i took on my dead mike domain

This is not Genesis.
Thanks for the downloads!
Enjoy
Been following Genesis since the early days. Phil was so busy in the 80s its like he put 30 years of wear and tear on his body in those short 10 years. Sad to see him this way.
And the emotional wear and tear. Does things to your body.
Hard to watch him. Had to turn it off. Rather remember him and the presence he had on stage than this one barely able to move and using a cane when he does......not to mention Genesis w/ back up singers?!! He can't hit notes. So sad to see his decline.
@Domenic....Not sure that you understand -- Phil Collins had a spinal injury that's taking its toll on him. It's not normal wear and tear for a man in his early 70s. Chronic pain wears you down and affects your quality of life every day. I know firsthand. Good on him for powering through his new limitations. 😍
@@dinkedwards3680 Holy cow! Clearly you are not married where the vows you take are "for better or for worse." You'd rather abandon someone who isn't the perfection they used to be rather than support them. Good thing you aren't the captain of a sinking ship or someone driving past an abandoned or injured animal on the side of the road. Put the blinders on. I am sad for you. Go ahead and flame me if you must, I've said my piece.
@Ms Mars.....lol. Exactly!!
I saw GENESIS at the FORUM, during their Invisible Touch Tour '86! I was pregnant with my first son (4 months),! Not only is Phil Collins my Idol, I still get chills from that AWESOME night! This is my ALL time favorite band!!! Ever since I can remember, Genesis WAS Fabulous and still they kick ass to this day 2021! Love you guys, always!! ❤❤❤❤❤✌💋
Its just wonderful to hear them play those songs, one more time. Thank you Genesis.....and friends.
Genesis my love forever!!! Thank you! Thanks for the upload!❣
I have been a lover and Genesis and their music since the 70's, through the break-up, in to their solo music careers and watching Phil Collins like this is without doubt the saddest day ever. God bless you guys and thank you for everything.
You have no idea how much this means to so many of us - I was meant to be there but due to COVID I couldn’t get to England. Thanks for recording a show that I sadly couldn’t get to so I didn’t completely miss out.
Sorry bout that. We flew in from Houston the day before, saw the show, and 5 hours later were at the airport to come back...
BTW - you can download the whole show in one file or all the pix i took on my dead mike domain

Thank you for such a brilliant video. I have seen them many times when I lived in England, they are and always will be awesome.
I've watched this quite a few times now as I was at this show and it was bloody amazing. Thanks so much for going to the effort of putting this together. Being able to re-live that night is great. You're a legend!!
I was at their concert in Toronto on Nov 25th, so thrilling to see this beloved band still rocking, I follow them since the '70s
Thank you so much for this effort and give me the chace to se them in what may be the last genesis tour. I have been a die hart fan since i was 8 till today (54), thank for all this great years of great music.... GENESIS FOREVER
A million thanks, Mike. A wonderfully crafted video. I last saw Genesis at Wembley in 1987 (or thereabouts) and will be at the O2 on Monday 11th October, thanks to my lovely daughter after she gave me her 2 tickets. Musically the band gelled as they always have done over the years. I can empathise with Phil in respect of the nerve damage. I don't think that I would have the 'balls' to even walk onto the stage in front of 20,000, never mind perform for 150 minutes.
Thank you very much Genesis for performing live again. It is with tears in my eyes when I watch and listen to this. I am a big fan since the seventies (yes, also much older now) and this is a wonderful gig for all Genesis fans. Thanks a lot DeadMike for being able to enjoy this great capture in sound and vision at home. I am not able visiting the tour, but this is really second best to it. Thank You!
Brilliant upload Mike. Saw the 2nd night in Leeds. Had tickets for them in Berlin 1980/81, couldn't make it.....what's 40 years....well worth the wait. Rock on Genesis.
"Afterglow" still has that magic
Mike, you're a legend for capturing this and uploading! Many people can't afford the ticket prices or won't make these precious final shows for other reasons. Phil can be very proud of his son cuz he's smashing it. Genesis had an impressive run. Even their 80's/90's pop era stuff enjoyable. Guess it's Phil's biggest wish to have this possible final tour to play these songs seeing his son shine as a formidable drummer on tour with him...ticket prices high cuz no more decent record sales...
Thanks for the upload 🤗
Great video. We were there two days later. Absolutely love Genesis and it was such a fantastic concert. Enjoyed watching it again, thank you for sharing 😀
First of all a big thank you for this 👍 I had the pleasure of seeing Phil at the SECC. Absolutely love him and his music 🥰
Wish I could have afforded the tickets for Glasgow this time but just too much!
Thank you Genesis for a lifetime of great music! 😍😍💋💋
One of the biggest bands! Magnificent!
Thank you for uploading this. Thoroughly enjoyed it.
Glad you enjoyed it!
I was very happy to live in the same generation with them and I'm very proud of being a fan for more 30 years.
The first time I saw them, I went to study Portuguese from Kyoto Japan, was in Portugal in 1992's summer. I still have a T shirt being sold in the concert at that time.
Now that, we never go back to that time, we can hold the memories of GENESIS forever.
Many thanks for giving me a lot of fantastic life.
Thanks for sharing this nice recording
As a fan of Genesis since 1975 and having seen them many times it is so hard to see Phil being stuck in a chair and not behind the kit. I have never seen a show without Chester Thompson either. I miss his drumming and his energy and this is nothing against Phil's son. He is doing a great job. As far as I can tell, this is the first time they had a backup vocalist. I give Phil credit for hitting the road one last time but I prefer to remember that last tour when he was still able to really perform. It is still nice to see Daryl, Mike and Tony still at the top of their game. I had the pleasure of working with Daryl years ago and he was so down to earth. Hell, he even moved his own gear and said he had been doing it for years and he didn't mind it at all. This is a great video and thanks for sharing as I will probably not be close enough to any venue that they play in the states.
I genuinely think hes sounding better with each gig. His voice seems to be getting stronger and stronger
I completely agree. I saw him in Manchester last Friday and he sounded so much better then in Birmingham!
That is absolutely normal for the voice chords…
@@DJFalkoHannover thanks Simon Cowell
If that's true, and I doubt it much, then perhaps he should have practiced more before so the fans at earlier gigs didn't have to put up with this shit.
@@topdog91 maybe hes gaining confidence with each gig?? Cant be easy knowing everyones doubted his voice and having known how good he used to be
Thank you so much.... I have been a huge Genesis / Phil Collins fan and I enjoyed watching your full concert from the comfort of my home. You did a great job filming
I think Phil is an inspiration! Even though he has had a lot of troubles he keeps doing what he loves. He can't drum anymore, but he can sing and can perform. So what if he has to sit down, so what if he needs back up singers. After all this time let others doing the heavy lifting. We can all learn a lot from him. Do what you love even if it's just a small percentage of what you used to be able to do. And if you are lucky enough, do that with people who have been by your side nearly your entire life.
Wow! Amasing! Thanks Dead Mike, for recording and loading this! Truly incredible!!!
Thank you for posting! Glad to see they're still together and going strong no matter what!
Legend.
Thank you for all.
Thank you so much for this, I’ve settled down with a cuppa and a biccie to watch all the way through. I’m in Australia and will probably not get a chance to see Genesis live again, so I really appreciate this! Thank you 😊
There it is then, my 70 yrs old DNA fully engaged no corner left empty. Music as I remember it, amazing graphics behind the band, Nick's drumming keeping my feet tapping throughout. So good to see Phil and the rest of the band in top form. Mike's fabulous cinematography bringing all of this wonderful concert into my home. Thank You!
Aww thanks! He's sounding even better in more recent shows and I'm going to the Nov 20 show in Charlotte and plan on videoing the whole show as well. Stay tuned!
Beautiful. Thank you for the upload
Thank you so much mike , you did a great job , I am from Indonesia and I can feel how lively the concert was and long live for phil the great musician in the world
I saw them when phil first became lead singer and now 40 something yrs later am going to see the farewell in Chicago on 11/16. Cant wait
Thanks again for posting these vids Mike - as you can see, I'm back for another watch, still hyped and deliriously happy! :D
Followed Genesis since trespass loved Gabriel and Collins both the same no matter who the vocalist is. I attended Birmingham on the 2nd night first saw Genesis @ knebworth 1978 it’s been an awesome experience loving this band
Amazing band and amazing tour! Thank you for the memories! Outstanding music! Beautiful music! Thank you Genesis!
Rock on Phil-can't wait to see you on Nov 30th in Cleveland!!
Great video and brilliant sound quality, thanks for your time and efforts in putting this out.
Wow, awesome - thanks for recording this gig. Also, I have seen a lot of live performances of Firth of Fifth during the last 10-15 years, including Steve Hacketts solo tours, but this one was by far the best. Sounds both modern and like I travelled back to the 70s. Just perfect!
Thank you soooo much for this Upload ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
No problem
Great upload thanks for sharing.
Thanks Mike!..Awesome work!
Oh the memories. By chance and three revised dates. I was at the O2 in Greenwich in 2022. When Phil announced it was the last ever Genesis show, ( which I think we all knew it was) , for about 5 seconds there was an intake of breath and realisation. Magical evening , magical band. Thanks for the music Genesis and many thanks for sharing this DeadMike . ❤😊
Thanks, I was lucky the EU went back on Covid lockdown making this night opening night! I chose it cause the venue was the smallest one and was in between Eric Clapton and Jefferson Starship shows in the states. I was in and out, no time to enjoy the scenery much.
My travel vlog: ua-cam.com/video/heSfVkBCJsE/v-deo.html
Funny enough, the other show I went to in Charlotte, N. Carolina, the people standing behind me in line were subscribers and knew me ("Hey, is your name Mike?") and were at the Birmingham show, too and in this video!
In line behind me!!! What are the chances! That is one of the coolest convergences ever in my life. :)

Thank you DeadMike. We went to Newcastle last night, we all thoroughly enjoyed it (a few minor mistakes but so what, it was just great to see them for one (probably last) time) and just enjoying your video now - fabulous quality. I hope you managed to get to another night so you could enjoy it without filming. You're a star sir.
Just reading the comments and can see that you flew back to Houston the following day - hope you get chance to see them again in the States (I've got a feeling you will!). Thanks again.
Roadtrip (with the dogs) to Charlotte, NC for the Nov 20 show. More video coming! My enjoyment is now being able to sit home and burn concerts into my brain! It's a bit of a chore sitting so still and just mentally enjoying the concert (you can see in the video sometimes i'm just like 'what do i do next, i'm caught up in the music' moments where i kinda freeze for a moment).
You know how many I've forgotten pre-2005? I have merch and tickets, but can't recall the shows exactly. Luckily there are some videos of some of those shows (not all houston, tho) that are really awesome to relive, Phil drumming for the first Robert Plant tour is one of them. :)
MAGICAL ! very emotional !!!
Thank you! I was disappointed they would not be coming out to Seattle, as they are one of the best live bands I've ever seen. I enjoyed this immensely!
Amazing i was there that night.big thank you to the uploader.i watch it everyday 👌👍
and a big thank you, too! please subscribe!
I saw Genesis at Dodger Stadium in the huge We Can't Dance tour and then again in Philly at the Wells Fargo Center during Turn It On Again. They were definitely hanging on for that reunion. In some ways, it seems like they are doing this for Phil to tour with his son and make some memories one last time. I certainly was too young to see the days of the band before they were a trio, but I was able to go back and listen to the whole catalog and learn as much about the history as possible. Genesis brought me joy when I was growing up in the 80's and 90s and I appreciate this video as a reminder of all the nights I fell asleep listening to an album on a Walkman. How the world has changed...
Yes.. I remember my cassette of TOTT one side.. Selling England the other. For many, many months, that's all I listened to.
Who ever did this video did a fantastic job. Just a few shakes BUT. You did a good job.
That's me! Please subscribe and check out the over 160 concert playlists I have going back to 2007!!!
RESPECT!, Genesis the circle of life. Cya soon in Holland.
Great video. Thanks for posting it.
Obrigada pelo vídeo! Gratidão! 🙏🏻
I saw Genesis on Monday night in Liverpool and they blew me away just as they did when I first saw them in 1975 in Liverpool performing The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway. Been a fan since 1971 and still a true fan. They are and always will be the best band ever for me.
Was there for the Leeds concert ... absolutely amazing from one a the few legends of pop for over 50 yr
Que increíble y valiente es el pequeño gigante mosquetero Phil,Génesis por siempre,en la batería esta la generacion siguiente,el legado de phil collins
Thanks Mike for this upload! In a way I wasn't too sure about getting tickets for this tour. I agree it's very sad to see Phil in this way but it's good to see his humour still comes through with the audience participation. I was lucky enough to see them at Wembley Stadium in 1987. His son is doing a sterling job on the drums. This is definitely a farewell tour...
Thanks for that, first night of the tour and I was there, fantastic night, still debating whether to book for O2 in March
Thanks a lot for Download Option, Mike! :-)
You're welcome! they are big files and you gotta get all four!!
One of my all time favourite groups feel privileged to have seen them in Birmingham last month. Even with health and age related situations to overcome they fulfilled the brief 😎
Been there. Done that.
Love it.
Increible la pasion de los grandes musicos, leyendas. gracias por compartir
This does not do the gig justice, saw them live in Liverpool on the 4th Oct.Fantastic night and worth every penny. We all have our favourite tracks but how do pick 2 hrs worth out of 40 ish years of music. Never satisfy everyone, but felt privileged to see them one last time.Take it easy Phil .
OUTSTANDING, all of them. And Phil's voice? Wow, he sounds just like -- PHIL!!!! After 50 plus years of belting it out, his voice shows very little strain. It's just clear, true, just Phil Collins. He must really be taking care of his pipes. Thanks for sharing this excellent concert footage. I feel like I am there!
Thank you, Thank you, Thank you.👍🤗
Wie immer ..WUNDERBAR!!
Danke sehr gutes Movie !
Having been into Genesis all my life,I'm 67,I made a conscious decision not to see them on this tour and after watching this very well shot video I'm glad,as i watched it i felt so sad cos for me they should have called it a day after 2007. On an up note I saw them at Stafford Bingley Hall in the 70s( as well as a few other times over the years) and it was a truly magical gig with the best Suppers Ready I ever heard them play live.😘
I AGREE, IT'S HEARTBREAKING AND I CAN'T BELIEVE THE REST OF THE BAND AGREED TO IT. SO SAD.
@@jamesjackson-df1hi If you are judging their performance from this video, you are wrong. They were fantastic, Phil is obviously not as strong as he was, but this video makes him sound terrible. I made a short recording on my phone of Afterglow and his voice came out the same, must be something to do with frequency or pitch, he also sounds behind the music, which he was not. As for the rest of the band allowing it to go on, it was not a freak show, it was unfinished business and a thank you their fan base for their support over the years. I am sure an official DVD will come out after tour end, then judge it, honestly they were excellent.
Months before this tour, I would have agreed with you, but now I've changed my mind. If this really is the Last Domino.. When Phil passes away, you may regret that decision. I know I will!
100% agree 👍, just because some of us say the logical truth people get mad.
It's really sad to see Phil so sick , singing takes breath ,projection and helps if your well and standing.
I will remember the London 78 show and 2007, that's when they should of pulled the plug.
Even Phil admits his drumming was never better than late 70s,
Even 2007 -2008 tour he found it a lot harder than back when he was doing magic with Brand X.
Sometimes u gotta know when to finish , with dignity still playing polished music.👍
For me. I feel sad because I love Phil and Genesis. They've been my favorite band since I was a kid. I've never seen them live. And I would love to. He's a human being and he wasn't put on this planet just for the entertainment of ungrateful people such as some who've commented on here. Maybe he did this concert as a thank you to the fans and for himself because he loves it and he missed doing live shows. THIS IS FREAKING PHIL COLLINS SHOW SOME RESPECT. NONE OF YOU DID EVEN 1% OF WHAT HE HAS DONE TO CONTRIBUTE TO MUSIC.
Watched this video sometimes with tears in my eyes! As a young girl I already loved their songs. Saw Genesis in 1992 in Knebworth. My husband was one of the stagebuilders so i could come backstage. Met Phil Collins briefly and seemed to me as a kind man. Sad to see him like this. I'm lucky to get tickets for the show in March '22 in Amsterdam. Too bad they don't play Hold on my heart, that's "our"song. Hope that everthing will be as normal as it can get by then, and hope i can keep it dry then 😊
Awesome. Wish I was in England to see this. My heroes since I was 17
Big respect to Phil & the gang!
Blooming amazing! Hats off to Phil, getting back on the stage and doing what he loves - for his fans, despite being poorly! True showmanship!
All of the millennials commenting negative stuff, I think you could learn something from this! When you truly love doing something in life, why should you "call it a day" - one life, live it!
God bless Phil for giving it a go...
Thay are amazing absolutely 💯 xx
Thank you!
You bet!
¡¡¡¡¡¡Muchas gracias!!!!!
i saw them in detort 2 days ago they were amazing. i found them when i was 4 [i was born in 2003] thanks for the music genesis. your the bomb.
