I’ve been a fan now for 50 years!
I loved this guy since I was a kid. And it is even more than that. I had a brother who could have been Elton's twin. Like Elton he was someone who played piano by ear since he was a kid, got classical training but only wanted to play his heart out in Rock. He had a vast music collection, an encyclypedic knowledge of music from every genre, truly loved people, gave you the shirt off his back... They are so much the same. So whenever I watch Elton it goes deep. Sad they never met.

I saw Elton in San Diego on a Friday night and then I drove to Los Angeles and saw him play on Sunday. There was a song he played called Harmony and I said if I ever have a daughter I am going to name her Harmony. I did. She now is 33 years old and a beautiful child.
It’s amazing how he remembers all the words and music after written over 300 songs!

So blessed to have caught this set. My car broke down 50 miles from the city and i had to catch a greyhoud and got to golden gate park 10 mins before this set started

I've been a huge fan ever since the early days of "Your Song". It was great being a fan during those times when he was the biggest pop star in the world. Out of the twelve times I've seen him live, the best had to be three times in one week back in the 70s when he played his record setting seven shows in a row at Madison Square Garden. I paid the OUTRAGEOUS sum of $25 for 6th row floor seats. That wouldn't get me a seat in the concession stand these days.

Elton John and the Beatles, have proven they are in a class of their own. Their music has more than stood the test of time. I have listened to the two of them for over 60 years and I can not imagine my life without them. Others have come close but these two are the greatest contributors to popular music.

He still brings it. I saw him the night before in Lake Tahoe with my brother. I have seen him about 20 times over the years. I heard my first EJ album in 1969 and have been hooked ever since. He is a Legend pure and simple. He has been with me through my adult life and he is a hero for me. He is by far my favorite. Remember what you just watched is live, there are not many that can preform like him and his band. What he has done for people with HIV Worldwide is alone enough to be a hero and how he has contributed in the fight for LGBTQ rights cannot be forgotten. Let's not forget Bernie Taupin without whom their would be no lyrics. EJ and his music speak to me like no other. He is simply incredible.

I refuse to believe that I've been listening and going to Elton's concerts for about 50 years and working with him on videos (inthe 80's). His music is my fountain of youth. Elton's music does not age and his new music gets better every year.

I just saw Elton in Melbourne and for a now 72 year old man he gave nearly 3 hours. AMAZING.

I have already made this point below but, as a 30 year roadie, stagehand and production manager, it must be noted again that not only was this concert of the highest standards in the business but the sound quality is so exceptional that most of you wouldn't notice the extraordinary playback that is almost impossible to make happen given that this is an outdoor venue. Credit must be given to Another Planet Entertainment and the people of San Francisco who have been supporting Outside Lands every year. Golden Gate Park is the crown jewel of San Francisco and the perfect setting for a concert series. Thank you Elton John for being the soundtrack to our lives for 50 years. I can't even imagine how life would have been without you. I was there at the Berkeley Community Theater in October of 1972 for your very first American Tour. A night I'll never forget. Love you.
Now that's fucking inspirational! 40 year anniversary for an album and I'm not even 40 yet. He's been rocking 40 years beyond a great fucking album. God damn I still have a chance to make some music. :) Thank you MAN! THANK YOU!

I was dragged along by a girlfriend to see EJ at Fairfield Halls Croydon England in 1973 and expected to see a boring balladeer but I was very wrong. He was terrific - slow or fast the music was high energy. The band was excellent (as now) and finished with SNAFF with a then slimish EJ really rocking out at the piano. One of the many UK long term high quality music exports - bravo!
Me and my best friend were fortunate to see Elton under the Arch in St Louis Mo back in 1982 on July 4th. Last night we wer blessed to see him again at Enterprise Center in St Louis Mo. The concert was absolutely phenomenal. If you can go see him please do. You will not be disappointed!

I was 11 living in Laredo Texas when Empty Sky was released
in 1969. Summer 1970 we moved to Sacramento California.Then
he killed it in 1970 with his second "Elton John".
third "Tumbleweed Connection".His fourth was a soundtrack to
"The Games".Then "Friends", "11/17/70",Madman,and Honky Chateau.
Obviously already a fan.
The next five years were prolific. I finally got to see him
Live in concert! I was thirteen at the time. It was the
"Don't Shoot Me I'm Only The Piano Player" Tour By the time he
released the album we were living about a half hour south of
Frankfurt Germany. Which is where i saw him. Actually in a town
named "Offenbach" at the "Fußball-Komplex", Soccer Complex only
5 minutes from Frankfurt. After that I went to every show I
could when he was touring. It didn't matter where. I would take
the train to wherever. I lost count of how many concerts i went
to over there. Pink Floyd, Emmerson Lake and Palmer, Deep Purple,
Led Zepplen, Zappa. Black Sabbath, The Moody Blues The list goes
on and on. All that said just
to say this. Elton John has given 200%
live from the very beginning! And still does.
Anyone out there that has not seen Elton John Live! You better hurry
before it's too late! Because you will never be entertained like Elton John
will entertain you by anyone! Ever!! And he is worth every penny you spend
on tickets!!!
Still a FAN to this very day! I'm 63 years old now. Trust and
believe that I will not miss him if he ever comes back to
Northern California! All three of my kids, and (8) grand kids
that are old enough can come with me to the show! Yes my kids
are fans as well! Not so sure about the grand kids though.?
P.S. Prior to releasing his first album he toured with T-Rex
as backup vocals and the Keys man.(Piano) Elton was a recording
studio musician/song writer. Which is where he and Bernie
Taupin first met.

I saw him and his band back at the end of the 90s in Montreal. It was a fabulous show ! He was a little younger (had lost some weight at the time). I was with my then wife... A show like this is an event in a life time. Elton John can play 2h30 of hits !!! Only hits. He is on the short list of artists like : Paul McCartney, David Bowie, Billy Joel who can do just that. Their volume of work is immense.
