People were actually upset about Phil doing these gigs. To me I felt that he knows he is up there in age with health issues and this tour gave him the drive to work. I am proud of him for doing this! I really think he needed this and I am glad he did it!

You could tell Phil was in so much pain I personally don't think he should have done it but give him a lot of credit for doing it but unfortunately not how I want to remember Phil or Genesis and saw them from 1976-2007 and The Turn it on Again Tour in 2007 he was outstanding and what a concert that was. Thanks Phil and Genesis for being a huge part of my life.😎

Very Sad - Old age, it gets us all eventually
When I was a young l had no use for Genesis or their radio popish hits. Years later I was relaxing in my yard enjoying a drink and such when I heard "Scenes from a night's dream". Of course that's from And then there were three. I was hooked. I've been a die hard Genesis ever since. Even including "A lamb lies down". Long live one of the 5 best bands ever. God bless you all.

For a lifelong fan this is mind boggling on so many levels. Love these guys so much. Phil pulled it off amazingly. Excellent production overall. We’re going to miss this band, one of the greatest of the rock genre. 😢

Very bittersweet. You can see how much Phil misses playing the drums, and you can also see his pride watching Nick playing the parts that he created. I wish them all the best. I too will always remember them as I saw them back "in the day", and we were very blessed to be able to see them then. Thanks for all of the wonderful music and memories guys!
With all the comments about whether people want to remember Genesis this way or not, I look at it differently. I saw them 5 times in the late '70s and early '80s and that's how I'll remember them but given the opportunity I would've gone to this show in a heartbeat. Why? Because I think of this tour as a gift for the fans because it's not about age, it's about seeing the original music performed by Genesis one last time. Thank you Genesis for all the great music and fun concerts and thank you Phil Collins for, despite your unfortunate health problems, turning it on again one final time. 🎶

@ Josh S Yeah I'm sure you were talking about my comment and to each their own and you didn't see them in 2007 The Turn it on Again Tour which was one of the best concerts I have ever seen from them and saw them over 75 times from 1976-2007 and that is the Genesis I will remember,I give a lot of credit for Phil doing this tour but you can see how much pain he is in and his voice was very weak so if this is how you want to remember Genesis one last time more power to you,dude.

Exactly I never got to see Phil or Genesis when they were in their prime, Even from a chair he had command of the audiance , just glad he played that song one more time solo and with Mike and Tony.

Many say the same about Paul McCartney, he's done?!🤔 These artists are true 'stars', not like the sh*t passing itself off as real music nowadays!! Most of the music now samples these artists like McCartney and Collins🤩. True Talents🤩. Genius songwriters!! I understand Your opinion, but you are probably not as connected to these guys as I am! They gave me alot of joy, comfort, peace, and attitude through their music, so I can certainly give them a pass on certain parts of their vocal range!! There is still alot of voice in Collins and McCartney🤩 on these recent tours. They both need to do less tours and maybe focus on studio albums, but that's there decision, and they're certainly not done or totally empty, not yet🤨!!
I'm happy to see Phill's son playing so well. He was born and raised listening to Genesis, so he knows all the songs and drum beats. Perfect.

Fantastic, as a lifelong Genesis fan, this is still great to watch. A fitting sendoff to a legendary band.

I saw Genesis from 1976-2007 and my all time favorite band and couldn't bring myself to see or remember Phil and Genesis like this and to me The Turn it on Again Tour in 2007 is how I want to remember Phil jumping and running around, I'm sure I'm going to catch hell for this comment but it's how I feel. God bless Genesis and thank you for your great music and concerts that were a huge part of my life.👍😎🙏

You wont get criticism from me for your comments. I felt similar and it was sad to see the way that time and age had affected Phil. Being there brought it home and was a reminder of our own vulnerability to ill health.
I am pleased I did go, but understand your comments.... And such a far cry from those early "Knife" and "nursery cryme" concerts with hats etc!
They’re mine too because I went to see them on October 15 1986 when I was pregnant 🤰 with my 3rd 🥉 child 👦 in Los Angeles California for The Invisible 🫥 Touch Tour
I must have Seen Genesis and Phil solo live at least ten times since 1977. Collins was one of the best drummers. To see him neighter hitting notes nor having strength to sing makes me sad!

I actually started getting tears in my eyes watching Phil leave the stage for the very last time.
His funny personality is what I love about him. It made me tear up too. You’re not alone. He’s a legend.

I second that. I saw them in Newcastle the previous year, (just before one of the crew? got covid), so I count myself lucky. Having seen them through the years, including Phil's solo tours, I wasn't going to miss "one more night" !!

It was back in '76-'77, when a friend of mine came knocking at my door holding the SEBTP album and as soon I opened the door he goes, "You've got to listen to this shit!" He was paying me back for having introduced him to Yes. Afterward, I went to every record shop looking for every Genesis album I could find and their body of work was simply outstanding. What they did after Gabriel, and after Hackett, was just as spectacular. It is very, very sad to see them come to an end but the legacy they left will live on until the end of the world. I'm so happy to have been there for every bit of it.
Had about the same experience but with the albums Nursery Cryme & Time and a word ( Yes ) . I heard those the first time in a record shop in 1975 on the headphones . I was captured straight away , bought them and shared them to my best friends.
This experience and later others with vinyl , I don't see this happening with todays generation and their downloads . There is nothing physical , neither any memory attached to it .
Had a chance to hear Selling England by the Pound right when it came out in 73 . Still one of my all time favorite albums . It reminds me of my High School days .
We were moving from NY to Texas it was a three day drive back in 1976 my older brother had just got Wind and Wuthering on 8 track, we listened to it over and over the whole trip, I was hooked since then.
This could have been called the Thanks For the Memories Tour. I think that’s why fans went. Goodbye to a band who played a huge role in their lives. Yeah, it’s sad, but also a real farewell, love you, well done. Poor health and poor finances forced me to miss this. I salute my favorite band. None of us who started loving Genesis are the same 40-50 years later. I love them all, especially Tony, my inspiration as a keyboard player. Thanks for posting this.

I'm so glad to have been there for the second to last show. For me, the most bittersweet moment was probably hearing them play The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway live.

Genesis music and emmbers almost feel like family to me, i will always carry them in my heart
My ticket was originally for April 2021. Following two cancellations and rearranged dates, I was by fate at this final Last Domino, the Last Show. What a special night and when Phil announced that this was the final Genesis show, an amazing vide exploded round the O2. The Fading Lights was a poignant song but , the semi acoustic Follow You Follow Me , a wonderful memory to begin all the memories of Genesis. Stay With me……. we will Phil, and Tony and Mike. And Darryl, Nic, Chester too.
that was something special to watch Phil leave a stage, most likely for the last time, Genesis or solo. I think he thought that himself since he took a bit more time to say goodbye

So glad I first saw Genesis at Knebworth in 1978 at their height of their physical and vocal powers. I saw the very last show of all at the O2 London. A bit of a sad swansong to witness, particularly as all songs with lyrics were keyed down to accommodate Phil's weak and laboured vocals.
I love you Phill Collins, thank you so much for every songs, feelings and emotions what your had made a long for years!!!!! You are eternal!!! Tanks a lot for Genesis and solo career !!!!!! Kisses from Brazil👏👏👏👏👏🌹
I never got to see Genesis but I did have the honor of seeing him in 2004 by himself and it was a bucket list moment.

I have seen Genesis 7 times, starting in the 1970's. My wife has NEVER been to a US rock concert and this was her first. I was so happy and sad at the same moment. She is now a Genesis fan. Thanks so much for letting me give part of myself to my new wife as every song had meaning in it to me as it was part of me growing up. Thank You Phil, Tony, and Mike (Daryl and Chester). Nic did a great job as well.
I was there that night: it was an amazing gig, and a real privilege to see my favourite band of all time playing for the last time. I was too young to see Genesis in their heyday, but I grew up loving their music. I was able to take my then 8yr old with me to this gig (it was the first gig she'd ever been too) and she sang along to every song they played. Thank you so much for putting this together. I have loved watching it (and I can't wait to show it to my kids)

It's great to be able to re-live those O2 nights taking me back to the mid seventies when my older brother force fed me Trespass and Nursery Cryme and turning me into the huge Genesis fan that I grew up to be along with the other 5,096 people who have viewed this great piece of film and editing work. Thank you. And thank you Genesis for providing us all with the soundtrack of our lives.
I'm almost 60 years old, been listening to Genesis since I was 8, I have no regrets about there music, all of it. Brilliant, thank you Genesis.

Thank you for doing this video. It must have taken ages to do, but very worthwhile. I have seen Genesis 20 or more over the past 50 year (yes, 50 years!). I was there that final, Saturday, night. A very sad but fitting farewell.

I was on the fence to going to this show in Amsterdam, bought tickets for a steal on ticketswap. My concern was Phil, that I didnt want to remember him like this, but I'm SO glad I went. No Phil wasnt at his best, but he did give it his best. I couldnt live with myself not seeing the final tour of my favorite band of all time. I'm 39, unfortunately way too young to have seen them in the Gabriel days, but I love everything they've ever done. Glad to have seen them twice in my life. (I do feel it was a shame Gabriel didnt join them for a song in this particular show, he was there....wonder if they discussed it...)
Peter didn’t want to be onstage. Genesis reached their commercial success after he left. This concert was for Genesis and that was where he wanted the emphasis to be. He didn’t want the headlines to read Peter Gabriel Joins Genesis For Last Show. Although it would have been great hearing him, I commend him for this.
@@giraffezebra2698 Yeah he's always been sensitive that way, it seems he also saw to it that he had other obligations scheduled during their Hall of Fame induction so as to not have to decline because he'd feel bad to do that, but he wouldn't be comfortable attending knowing they were being honored on the strength of their work after him. After the 1982 reunion and redubbing old recordings, he kept away. Still, a part of him looks to have a fondness for the old stuff and can never quite close the book on it completely, but not enough for him to follow through whenever revisiting it is teased.

Years from now, you won't care Phil wasn't his best. You'll tell your great-grand children you saw this show; and you'll be the envy of everyone you know. You'll keep it in your heart for all your life.

I was on all three shows of the final tour in Cologne. The sound in Cologne was fantastic and blew me away and i am happy to find your video showing it too. Thks a lot for your efforts.

42 years ago (holy crap!) I saw Genesis at Maple Leaf Gardens in Toronto in '81 during the Abacab tour. My first major venue concert. Where have the years gone?
Thanks for uploading this. The look on Tony's face as they bowed was hard to take. At a very young age he was aware of the fragility of the music business (Many Too Many, Duchess, etc...), and yet he and his mates made it for over 50 years. Still, the end had to have been hard for him. He's one of the most underrated musicians of all time IMO, and Genesis has been a favorite of mine for a very long time.

I have fond memories of seeing many shows with Genesis and Phil's solo tours. As these musicians age it will be expected health issues will prevent them from touring. Eventually bands from the 1960s and 70s will face this. The Who, Paul McCartney, The Rolling Stones, Peter Gabriel, Fleetwood Mac, and others will eventually cease to tour. But they have left us with such great music that will endure for decades.
For here below these sacred stones of ROCK lie the great lords, the long lost purveyors of stories old, enchanted tales told with lyrical melody, vast stretches of atmospheric harmonies, Orwellian dystopias, fire from their fingertips, all with the grace and majesty of kings. Well done lads.
I see many comments talking about "Not wanting to see them like this"...
I think this final tour wasn't about US seeing THEM, but more about them seeing US for one last time.
One last chance to show THEM our appreciation for their (collective) contributions to music, and {more personally) for being a part of our life's soundtrack...

I showed them my appreciation after every concert and was always hoarse for days from singing and cheering and saw them 75 times from 1976-2007 so just because even if it was the last time and it was because they wanted to see US and not US seeing Them it's still not how I want to remember my favorite band and Genesis always will be.
Reality check, it's about the band making money from ticket sales.

I'll never forget the times listening to Nursery Cryme and Selling England by the Pound at my friend's mansion in Atherton ,CA . For a desperately lonely teenage boy , the music soaked right into me . Thanks Genesis!

Hello Great fans of GENESIS, just want to mention that this situation with Phil, it is NOT his age but his Spine which was probably affected with all those years Mega drum playing
Again that's what a Spine problem does to us ( including myself) And yes GOD BLESS ALL MEMBERS OF GENESIS !!!
I hear you dude. Had a spinal cord injury myself back in 2001 when I was 38 and just going to be 60 and have no idea how Phil could sit in that chair all that time I know I couldn't and the pain he must of been in. I think they should have stopped after their 2007 Turn it on Again Tour which I saw and was phenomenal..

Sad to see Phil so ill, and unable to drum, but we thank him, and this wonderful band who, in its various manifestations, have delighted us for decades.
I recently saw an Interview with phil Collins where he talked about the lamb lies down on Broadway Tour. He said:> I smoked a small Stick and than Played it , enjoing myself and that's it

I saw the tour in Charlotte NC. I had a blast hadn't seen them since 1986 in nHouston Texas. I spent a great deal of money and the best seats. I will never forget this last show.

Sabemos lo afectado de salud que está y aún estuvo dispuesto a darnos una última vez y ese es el Phil que es responsable junto a Tony, Mike, Steve y Peter de la mitad y más del soundtrack de mi vida. ....its really amazing to think Collins is one of the top (today!) drum sequencer-programmers ever...he really pioneered alot of it in the late 70's early 80'S...search for Neil Peart talking about attempting to duplicate a track of Phils....for 2 months without success!!!
I am so glad I saw Genesis so many times in their prime. I know its great that Phil got out their on the road with his band members but its time now to take care of himself as music as he loves the music and as brilliant as he is its important to take care of himself.

Saw Phil with Genesis first time with Lindisfarne at the old Preston public hall 1972. Suppers Ready just released. Blew me away, bought every Genesis released since along with Gabriel stuff. Sad to see this but his son is great.
