Holy f'ing crap. That was an amazing bash. This spot has so much to offer (other than the water). My favourite video of yours I believe. Eleven minutes of full on unedited bashing with only a few cuts. Huge air, doubles, triples, wonkies that still landed on all 4's. Only to be done in by the words "I'm getting away with way too much".
I love Rich and Eric's videos but this was you doing it over and over and over on a STOCK RC (what most of us have) in just a few cuts. (You used the other pinion but it came with the car). I take back that I once wrote that you don't get the big air that they do. Well done.
Have you adjusted the punch settings? I don't remember you saying so.
I hope that ARRMA sent you a Mojave. ARRMA would do well to send one to someone who puts their RC through their paces in stock condition.

Punch settings are all stock. To be honest, I've never adjusted any of my ESC settings on any of my ARRMA cars, I leave them stock. Not for any particular reason other than I just don't need to change them... Maybe I should? 🤷♂️

In fairness this v4 is not stock... he does have Aluminum Chassis braces and hinge Pin Braces all around... But nothing crazy!

If you get the M2C shock tower brace (not shock towers.... Though those help also) you could just remove the Tower to Tower... At that point its more problems than its worth, or just undo one end and zip tie that side so it has some give. You probably know all this.... Bash on brother 🎯👍💯
This video is the reason I love arrma. Their cars are the toughest on the market by far. The only other rc's I have owned that come close is my xmaxx, and my losi 8ight t.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure I saw it burning up a bit a couple of times as it re-entered the atmosphere. 🤣🤣 Kraton certainly took a bit of effort to break, but considering the landing and how much I was getting away with, I was very happy with the result. Bought a couple new links, hammered the tower back into shape and it's ready to go again. 😊👍💪
Simply insane. At one point thought you were driving a cat, just keep landing on it's wheels, minus 9:35😁 Disappointing on the brute body. Kraton is such a tank. Amazing as always Vas.

Awesome bash! I am now the proud owner of a lightly used Arrma OutKast I am very happy with it so far. I have a couple videos of it up so far on my channel. Is it a crazy coincidence that your Kraton broke in almost exactly the same place as mine on it's first pretty big crash?
Same side of the car and everything bro. Think they must have had a bad batch of rods made because I haven't had the problem since and I've battered it with bad landings galore. But it's far from stock. All I need is a 5mm thick chassis to complete my mission.

Aussie RC Playground I remember back a few years ago you did a go pro bash session with that thing. It was cool looking, and entertaining. But yeah. Doubt it was durable at all. Probably broke as much as it ran. Smart Cash is on not lasting long.

Thank you so much Rich. Yeah, a bit disappointed about the body as well. Not sure if that's the typical reviewer's curse at it again or these bodies really do split or break like this on a regular. I have the clear version of the Brute body, so I might bring the Kraton back here with that one and see how it fairs.
Im really surprised about the body it was a big hit but mine has had some shockers also and is holding up awesome. Go for the tripple next time it will clear it 👍

I was bashing the skatepark yesterday with my completely built V3 Notorious, and I pulled this streetlight high lazy double (you know the kind when you have so much hang time you can take a second to leave her hanging inverted😉), and their was about 8 sub 12 yo. kids there. After landing, and driving away I here from across the skatepark, "OMG!!! DID YOU SEE HOW HIGH THAT WENT! THAT'S THE KINDA RC CAR I NEED!". Arrma tough kid, Arrma tough!💪💪💪😎

I don't think Traxxas would want to see how that ends up, lol. Not hating, as I own a handful of TRX stuff. But these massive air launches and imperfect landings would make for a short bash session with a Revo, or even the ridiculously overpriced $1000 "hunk-o-plastic" X-Maxx.

I haven't owned a E-REVO before, but I deal with them on many occasions through the hobby shop. From what I've seen, the Kraton wins every time.

Does any aftermarket company make a wing mount/wheelie bar for the Notorious that doesn’t break the back screws every other run? Bout to sell it, I have an aluminum mount, I’m getting sick of picking broken screws out of the top of the diff case
No disrespect, but stop landing on the wing. I've never broken a wing mount on any of my ARRMA cars and as you can see, I don't exactly go easy on them. Also, an aluminium wing mount is about the worst upgrade you can put on these cars for bashing. That and aluminium a-arms.
But anyway, just my experience with this cars and I can't relate to yours, sorry.

Keep practicing, my man, you'll get there. Start small and work your way up. But be warned, mistakes and broken parts are inevitable. It's all part of the learning process. The important thing is that you learn and keep trying to improve. 👍😊

Thoughts on the 4s 1/10 version of this guy? After looking at lots of RCs a brushless 4s Kraton seems like its a heck of a value. I only currently have a brushed e-maxx so this would be quite an upgrade for me i believe.
Any other $400 ish RCs to consider?

Honey, I’m home! So many cars to choose from indeed. But nothing bashes quite like the kraton or outcast. I thought those tires would hook up better. Kinda losing traction? Backflips are cheap and imo best for these cars. Proline mx38s also hook up well and give a lot more rotation for flips. Heavier but they’re fun. Sorry about the body. Def not indestructible eh? Was an awesome bash Vas! A gnarly landing will send any car to the shop. Cheers!
Tyres were fine, but of course there's always better or different if you prefer. For me, these stock tyres work fine, but like you said, a heavier tyre will definitely promote more aggressive backflips. And I think a slight diff tune will also help...

With that optional 15 tooth pinion does the car motor overheat ever? I’m thinking about doing this to mine. I always run it on pavement or very short grass or light sand like this. What do you think?
Haven't had any heating issues so far, but I guess that might change depending on your style of driving.

How do you get your kraton to wheelie so easy . Im using a 6s 80c lipo with 100 thousand diff fluid in the center and 50k in the front and rear and my punch is set on 4 and I can only wheelie once and a while ? Oh I'm running stock gearing to . Thanks Vas !

Bad crash. You bet the shock Tower a little bit. And snapped a steering rod. Oh my goodness. I can't believe it and that was a bad bad crash. And you were purposely Just Landing it on the flat many many times. That truck is super amazing tough. Vaz. I don't know if you read all of these. But I have the Sabertooth from HobbyKing. Do you think it would be possible to make one of those plastic cages in the middle of the Creighton screw into my truck. And for my next 8th scale do I go Outcast or. Karton. I also saw your video on Facebook today. About getting the anniversary edition Outkast. You could really feel your emotion and. I just want to tell you that you are one of the guys that really deserves to be given this truck. You have done so much for the hobby. And I just want you to know personally I think that you are definitely and RC God. Legend. right up there with Jimmy Page my brother. Anyways great video you did good job. I hope you get the max X. Buy Traxxas. I think you're going to be seriously disappointed. Doesn't even come with optional high speed gear. Which doesn't make sense. They probably spend about $5 in manufacturing. On the high side to put that on the truck. and when you do you know they're going to crash it so you going to make more money or of broken parts. And it has plastic drive shafts. the best thing about it I think is that they made a really good adapter 17 mm. On a 6 mm shaft. That everybody is probably going to used to make their 10th scale trucks be able to use 17 mm tires. I just watched a up-close video and. Traxxas drop the ball big time. What are your thoughts. I can't wait for you to get the truck and give it the torture test. Anyways love God bless

As for the Maxx, no, I won't be getting one. I made a decision a while ago never to get anything from that brand on the channel again after the way they treated and threatened another UA-camr simply because they used the name of one of their trucks in the video title they didn't like. I since sold anything I had from that brand and will never named them again on my channel, so I will not be getting any of their products ever again. Sorry.
Personally, the Maxx truck is very over priced. The truck retails for $550 in the US, which is the same as a 6S Kraton, but over here the 6S Kraton retails for $830 while the Maxx is $985. Huge difference and probably the worst value for money truck on the market today. The E-Revo is $999 and that was already too expensive compared to the Kraton, but now the Maxx truck is next level rip-off. The funny thing is that people will still buy it here simply because of the brand. Nothing to do with quality or durability or speed, it's just because it's from that brand and they'll just buy it. Meh, whatta ya do...?🤷♂️
Vas would I be ok with motor temps running the bigger pinion and bashing? Obviously I don't bash as hard as you so think it will all stay cool enough? Great video buddy. Also did you remove t2t or did you upgrade braces on this v4? I forgot it you said it or not

Vas I'm a huge Arrma supporter and not a fan of traxxas at all but have you ever considered getting a erevo 2.0? I always wondered how it would fair with guys like you and Rich Duperbash and other big air guys. It's not a coincidence most of the big air guys run Arrma but I've always been curious how it would fair. I'm guessing not too well.
From my experience with the E-REVO 2.0 at the hobby shop I work at, I think it would be lucky to go a full pack without it breaking. And with much less effort. But even if it didn't break, I doubt the motor would last. I've seen nearly every 2.0 we've sold burn out their motors within the first 6 packs and a couple of ESCs with thermal lockouts which can only be reset by TRX.
Aside from all that, I'm not going to pay a grand (they retail for $999aud) for car I know won't last and will need $$$ on upgrades just to be on par with my ARRMA's. I wouldn't give any of my hard earned to that company, anyway, so not gonna ever happen on this channel. Unless someone wants to donate their car for testing or if TRX wants to put their money where their mouth is, they can send me one. But they won't because they know it will fail.

Yes it sucks when things happen to your R/C, like the chassis bending. But watching this video, I can totally see why something like that would happen. I mean it looks like fun to bash this truck so hard but it wouldn't surprise me one bit if something broke or bent.

I just hammered the tower back into shape and the car is good to go again. Took me 10min and saved myself the money. Considering I land on my feet most of the time, I'm happy to take my chances with the stock towers. Stronger towers will just transfer the impact down the line and the bulkheads could snap as a result. Rather have a bent tower I can straighten then a broken bulkhead I need to replace.
@@AussieRCPlayground that is all true. I have hammered my kraton towers back to straight propably three times. Its an easy fix and doesnt cost anything 👍 Some time ago i bought scorchedrc titanium towers but i have not put those in yet.

Had some great saves on those front flips attempts. Sucks on the breakages.. but the Kraton is one Beastly of a truck. Hats off to Arrma!! The Proline bash armor body was a bust!! It's also known to take out body post due to its weight on hard bashing. I prefer ProBodyRC unbreakable body ( ua-cam.com/video/npy8rzWYDi4/v-deo.html ) Lite weight and does the job better IMHO. Awesome bash brother.
Thank you very much. Yeah, the Kraton took some effort before it caved in, but it's already fixed and ready for more. Only part I broke was the steering link, but I later found I also snapped a screw inside the GKA front chassis brace and that will take some work to fix (if I can fix it). Now I just need to either patch or replace the body and wait for a nice to go again. 💪😁👍
