    The HW Max6 4985 1650kv with a 18-20t pinion is a great combo with more torque and less heat. There's more scope of power and tuneability with this system, and the diffs should take it if you shim them up 👍
    And if you wanted to upgrade the diffs, the new EXB diffs have a wider tooth profile and have a limited slip option too 👍 definite upgrade for me when they're available

    1730kv leopard 4092 with a max8 or a max6 esc, this is the perfect balance and also is very reliable and will support the weight of the truck and keep the power balanced

    If I may offer a suggestion for an electronics package.
    TP power 4250 6D 1950kv motor and a Max 6. I don't suggest the Max 6 because I want you to run 8S or a ton of power, but rather because it will fit well with your theme of reliability and efficiency. I run this combo in a few 6S Arrmas, and it has been the best thing I've ever done. It does not overpower the driveline, but it is VERY healthy. And due to the fact that the system can theoretically run 8S, everything is always cool. It basically means the system.is always "coasting", even when I bash hard. It has also given me nice runtimes, simply because the system generates propulsion rather than excessive heat. The slightly lower kv is a non-issue. Simy add two teeth to your pinion and you're back to stock top speed. As for how wild it can get, the punch setting is of course part of the equation. But I have run mine at 3 through 5 on my Kraton V3, Typhon V4 and Nero. Never an issue and reliable fun by the bucket load. Could you use a Max8? Possibly, but why would you. The system's going to draw the amps no matter what, so it's just a question of whether you want to create heat or not. I have ran much bigger power in my Kraton with a TP 4070CM just for the hell of it, and the driveline is shockingly durable. With the 4050 combo, you are adding about 20% of overall power give or take, but the neat thing will be in how light and nimble it will feel on the "pick-up-and-go".

    Great motor option is the Leopard 4275 2000kv. I got it from RCJuice. Awesome power paired with a max6. I did a just bash it build with that setup on my talion. Really fantastic.

      The added powervyou feel is from the esc. The Leo 4275 is in itself not an upgrade.

    Hello from BC! Very nice.. i just ordered the same chassis just yesterday. I agree motors out there are in 2000ish kv range and then jump to 800!.. not much in between.. so ill keep stock motor for now but getting the spectrum 160 amp esc ( stock isnt very good and acts funny alot). The spectum takes 8s batts but ill stick to 6s i think .... BUT... more power is addicting!.. cheers fellow Canuck !

    Wow is there anything left besides the esc and motor that are stock why would you buy a rc if you have to spend so much money replacing all the part ? Iv herd the same thing from everyone who buys and arrma guess there a sucker born every minute you said it adds a little more waight but I'm willing to bet it's more like twice the waight and a lot slower. I have a revo 2.0 and only thing I upgraded was the rear toe rods and have only broken maybe 20/30 bucks in parts and my Chasse shock mounts pretty much every thing is still stock don't get it why someone would buy something that brakes so easy. I would love to buy your revo but already have one and since nothing brakes on it don't need a spare parts truck have fun dumping loads of money into the arrma and the cheap ass transmitter that arrma gives you with it not one video I watched did anyone say that it's good enough to use everyone said that it's junk and they were going to have to replace it so why would anyone want to buy an arrma?

    • @cwatson42785
      @cwatson42785 5 років тому +5

      Arrma makes much more tougher trucks than traxxas imo. I've owned both brands and since buying arrma I won't be buying anymore traxxas. I've had the revo 2.0 and the v4 kraton and the erevo was constantly breaking on me under mild bashing till I finally sold it just like he is trying to do. Also he's upgrading everything not cause he has to but wants to. Its just part of the hobby and the love of it. My v4 kraton is pretty much stock and the thing is a beast. The kraton is probably universally known as probably the toughest 8th scale on the market today. But it doesn't matter if you like arrma or traxxas.... Just buy and run what you like. I have both and since I've gotten my arrmas I'm team arrma all day everyday.

    • @brianmahutga3350
      @brianmahutga3350 5 років тому

      Is that why all the vids I see about the 6s arrmas all say how the chasse bends after the vary first time they take it out and why would you want to do all the upgrades just to have your truck weigh almost twice as much not to mention all the extra money no thanks ill stick with traxxas or any other car but arrmas why do you think people laugh when they say arrma tuff it's sarcasm

    • @tonytravers5122
      @tonytravers5122 5 років тому +1

      Brian Mahutga E Revo 2.0 shock ends pull out on tiny jumps needs modifying straight out the box limiting straps chassis brace so already you’ve had to reduce the offf road capability vxl esc fail quickly non Teflon shocks downgrade from previous model weak rod ends tyres are heavy and shred easy on 6s Traxxas is overpriced from the start and there’s no innovation plastic chassis and shock towers only Traxxas I’ve kept and kept stock was the summit excellent truck this man has decided to upgrade his truck through choice and making it last longer in time Arrma are very tough and tougher out the box than any Traxxas all rc need at some point upgrading this man I take my hat off too excellent build excellent durability and long term pleasure I’ve owned Traxxas and most of the rest and for bang for your buck Arrma is the best of the bunch excellent video sir 👍

    • @brianmahutga3350
      @brianmahutga3350 5 років тому

      @@tonytravers5122 I know by far the revo is not perfect but the things that break on the revo are far less expensive than the 6s arrmas I'd much rather replace a shock end for ten bucks than the shock towers which is far more expensive and more work and the chasse on the revo will way outlast the chasse on the 6s arrmas

    • @brianmahutga3350
      @brianmahutga3350 5 років тому

      @@tonytravers5122 you say that the revo is over priced. I'd rather spend 50 bucks more on the revo than save 50 on the arrma then have to dump 20p into shock towers and a thicker chasse and have it heavy as a tank
