    ABSOLUTE Killer vid brother Rich!!😱💪💪👍Shock caps and rear bracing system seem to be spot on!👌That was a narley landing!! Great test for sure! Love the on board cam! It was so funny when it shot off on that jump..like a space capsule breaking off in orbit!😂😅Then T-dogg was like the Alien that finds this mysterious craft!😂My body is totally trashed now too...Picking up a new one soon and will definitely reinforce it better! I still just love the look of the V4! Great vid my friend ripping, MEGA launching and awesome parts testing! Love the little Typhon teaser at the end!😍😎🤘💪💪👌🍻

      Thanks so much Brother Eric 😜!!!! I was laughing so hard with the GoPro ejection 🤣🤣😱. Can't believe how tough those little cameras are 👀. That lid lander was gnarly 🙈. I tried to stall my flip only to realize the power wasn't enough. It truly was like driving with drag brake the entire first bash. I was flooring it instead of feathering the throttle and it just plain sucked 😝. Like going from a sports car to a Pinto 🤗. Thank goodness she didn't burn up. The caps and pistons should be packaged this next week 👌. Great pack and handling. I really love the V4 body too 😍. Definitely going old school with the next one 💪. The Typhon was on steroids again 👀. Took that street landing like nothing....Lol!!!! Love these ARRMA's Bro. Really appreciate the kind words. 🍻🚀🚀😎💪👊👊

      LMAO 🤣🤣!!!! Brother the V4 Kraton body is beautiful 😍, but it cracked WAY faster than my V2 and V3 bodies 👀. The Proline caps became necessary cuz I had to do thick repairs on the front hood 🤗. They do like to disappear like magic 😱😱😎💪👊👊

      Thanks so much Trent 👊!!!! Yeah I definitely knew something was off early on 👀. As strong as that motor is, the timing and wheel spin was completely off until I sorted the bearing 👌. It felt like constant drag brake and the power gave up as my motor heated up 😝. Normally I'm feathering the throttle with gobs of extra power. Having to completely floor it and struggle to correct midair sucked 🤣🤣. Just happy she's running solid again with new bearings. The Kraton definitely took some gnarly hits....Lol!!! 🤘🤘😎💪👊👊

    Another awesome bash my friend. Taking those Big Airs with no hesitation. Love it! Hats off to M2C for coming out with more killer upgrades for the Arrma lines. Can never go wrong with Mitch work. The shock caps seems like it's gonna be a killer upgrades. The rear bracing looks solid! Is the rear brace comes with those plates that attaches to the tower? Glad you're liking the LP backflip tires Rich. I love it man 😍. It's pre-glued perfectly too. LOL 😂 on the FPV camera. Hilariously catapulting everywhere. But you have ingeniously bolted it on the body. Wow you manage to break the VH towers bro😱😲. That was gnarly hit no doubt tho. Your Kraton looking like on steroids with them upgrades brother. Beefed up to Max! Bash on brother

      Thanks so much Chris 😜!!!! That was a stock tower I bent to all heck 🤣🤣. I learned my lesson about maintaining my motors a bit more 👀. Turns out this brace does fit no problem with the Voltage tower too👌. The rear brace should come with the tower bracing I think 🤔. I'll double check with Mitch about it. The shock caps and Delrin pistons should be on his website this week as a kit 👍. Definitely a BIG difference in handling and performance. They pair Killer with the Backflip LP's 👌. What an ender! Nasty!
    Hands down the best part is that mini drone action when the camera flew off hitting that jump in the beginning, so hilarious and fun. Not for the camera but it is an action camera 😀
    Idea- put a parachute on the camera so when you jump and it flies off, the camera hangs above the truck, point it down so perhaps it catches some footage? Drone on the cheap? Innovation by accident!

I didn’t even know who that was until Stephane Z pointed it out, then piecing it together (you commented, arrma shared it, Jason commented), i did wonder if you had some involvement. Now it’s confirmed!
      Telling my 10yr old that the founder of Arrma likes his driving was something special. Not sure if he likes it more than when I tell him you like it though 👍👍

    Badass! Every time I watch it seems like I need to do something else because you show all the new kit! Not that my rigs run bad or aren't fortified with what I think so far necessary with Voltage and HR, etc. I have a few pieces of JBIRC stuff. I admit *and reluctantly that I don't have M2C gear just yet but I want so much of it. I think I made the mistake of getting too many rigs and trying to keep em all solid as a rock(et) and the stuff just gets 💸💸💸💲 lol. Anyway, I think I'll start focussing on maybe one or three or four trucks and let the others hang back for a bit. lol. And maybe try harder not to crash
    Thanks for another great show and thanks for keeping me and all up to date and showing what you're testing from time to time. I do love and appreciate it. 👍👍💪💪😊🍻🍻

      Thanks Brother😊!!!! I totally hear you about 💵💵💰😱. This hobby can get out of hand quick. I choose my upgrades carefully and shop around for deals👍. It comes down to value and benefit in the end. I think that's a great idea to focus on a few rigs instead of trying to pimp out the entire fleet 👌. Often it's better to upgrade and dial in what you have vs buying the latest version as well. Testing and helping develop this stuff is time consuming, but it's also been an honor and a labor of love 😍. These rigs are only getting better. I'm super grateful we have the aftermarket support and upgrades to customize as we see fit. 🍻😎💪👊👊

    Great test, Rich!!! The new shock caps seem to work very well!!! 😎💪 Love the onboard camera, but you've to secure it better!!! 😂😂First of all I suggest you to put the cam on the back or on the side of your truck and not on the roof!! Oh it's a nice idea also to use a waterproof cage to prevent scratches on the screen if the cam fly away!!! 🎥🚀 I destroyed a couple of gopro before find how to secure it!!! But I honestly love just rippin around and this spot has killer, challenging hops and rises at odd angles👌. It's been a good testing ground to test different shock setups. There's no doubt these M2C caps and O-ringed pistons drastically change the handling of the stock shocks 👀. Way better control with better pack and dampening. 👍👍😎💪👊👊

    • @richduperbash2966
      @richduperbash2966  5 років тому +1

      Thanks so much Cam 😜!!!! I'm super impressed the new brace spared the diff case 👀. That landing was just Nasty 😱. The M2C shock setup elimates the bladder with a gasket so you don't get pressure build up further in the run and you also don't have the extra rebound or bounciness that the bladder itself creates. It's a zero rebound or emulsion style setup. His included pistons are highly machined Delrin with exacting tolerances 👌. They have a groove on the outer edge that an O-ring goes into. The pistons have tiny slits directing oil flow and pressure against the O-ring during upstroke. The result is ultra smooth dampening with better handling and WAY less after bounce on landings and hard hits. It basically transforms the stock shocks 😱. I went from skeptic to believer once I started running them. Testing and rebuilding them has been tedious at times, but I think we have a winner 👍. The conversion is very straight forward and actually easier to get right than the stock shocks. Should be released this week according to Mitch 👍👍😎💪👊👊

    Nice, I'm also running a bladder less system on my Yeti XL, that I'm liking (it just seems less likely for me to accidentally not seat the bladder correctly or somehow damage it during install to avoid leaks, etc.). I used the zero rebound set up (there are a few videos out there for help), get all the air (or as much as I can) out, and it is just smooth consistent movement of the piston. I just could never achieve symmetry building shocks with bladders.

    Thoroughly enjoyed the video. Thanks for sharing! It looks like your 6s kraton Took the hits like a champ. Course that’s the one you’ve upgraded the most right. With the M2C chassis and all those other fix’ns. Question for you… What are your thoughts on replacing the diff houses front and back, with the aluminum ones. Are those upgrades something you’ve done? When you break one do you simply re-purchase a plastic diff house? Or is there a reason why, aside from them being cheaper that we should keep plastic for flex or weight?

I'm doing a rebuild and bought hot racing aluminum bulk heads do you think that running that jbi part on top of the hr diff housing is to much metal on metal? also running all m2c chassis and braces/shock towers

      Sounds like you're building a legitimate Beast Kyle 🤗!!!! Upgrading that curved piece to aluminum is essential in my mind. They lock together great with the brace and wingmount arms. When the stock plastic part breaks, it allows the rear chassis brace to piston up and down which leads to other damages 👀. Keep on your current path Brother. You still have the plastic wingmount to absorb impacts in the back. 🍻😎💪👊👊

      Thanks Brother 👊!!!! I did a "Building a Beast" Kraton upgrade vid about a year ago I think that goes from must haves to full beefcake 💪. Only change since then is with the M2C Goliath Series chassis you don't need a tower to tower brace. My must have upgrades are aluminum chassis supports and servo mount, Tbone or RPM front bumper, and RPM rear skid plate. A forgotten tidbit is the curved "brace stop" rear diff wingmount attachment piece. With the M2C brace system in this vid, you might not need it 🤔. I got mine from GKA but Voltage Hobbies also makes them. 😎💪👊👊

  • @olds97lss

    I had to do the same thing with the session, but found that the plastic mounting plate itself would rip the rails out of it on hard landings. I was using an aluminum cage that had an aluminum leg on it. I've conceded to the fact that I can't run any type of "mount". Now I'm using just the alloy case for the camera as protection and for something to put velcro on and to take the velcro strap abuse vs the rubber surface of the camera getting torn up. The super duty velcro to is there to hold it in place and a velcro wrap around an aluminum plate that has a lip/raised part on the front. The velcro really does nothing other than keep the camera from sliding side to side and holding it in place as I wrap the velcro. So far, that is the only solution I have found that has worked long term. Also, mounting to the body destroys the body regardless how you mount it as it just pulls/bends/cracks the body all over the place due to the extra weight/leverage. So far, the best mount I have is on my stampede with a T2T brace (which isn't needed on the stampede), but I use it to create a small tower to support the top of the cab of the body and I mounted the small plate in front of the tower for the camera. So far, that has worked great. Now I need to figure out the same for my outcast... and savage. The revo body is too low, so not sure what I'm going to do with that, but I really like the PIP type videos, so I'll try to figure out something. Just to give you an idea, here's a shot of what I did on my stampede. Looks horrible... but with limited tools, it's the best I can do. The ziptie was just there to hold the pieces, they are actually screwed with bolts through them to the T2T brace.

      I've tried several different wingmount options through the years. At the end of the day, the stock ARRMA HD wingmount has performed the best IMO. The best way to have them last longer is not land on them 🤣. I know we all do at times, but it should absorb energy and break under enough force. RPM is long overdue for a redesign. They use good plastics, but they should've designed theirs with more beef. I've broken both about equally. Tbone was a complete failure for me personally 😝. I sometimes break my mounts from hard rolls too, but I view them as a sacrificial part to some extent. 🍻😎💪👊👊

      Great question 🤗. If you're running an M2C Goliath Series chassis, you can toss the tower to tower brace aside. If running a stock chassis or extreme bashing an EXB one, I recommend keeping the T to T brace. Got a question, that maybe your experience could answer. I have the V4 Kraton, And I am frustrated that my rear tower (stock) Keeps needing to be removed and rebent back straight. My only guess is that the tower to tower brace is transferring all of the energy right into my back shock tower. So the question is, is the tower to tower brace helpful, or hurtful for somebody like me that does not have the M2C chassis. I understand that snagging the M2C chassis is the recommended solution, and just removing the tower to tower brace. However I won’t have the funds anytime soon to buy the M2C chassis. So my question is should I STILL remove the tower to tower brace to stop bending my back tower? Or ... if I do, am I going to gamble with now bending the stock chassis if I remove the tower to tower brace? It’s like a win lose or lose win situation. What is the recommended set up, upgrade wise if an M2C chassis is out of the question for now. In other words if I buy a quality rear tower from voltage hobbies or just bash it RC. Will my tower bending woes lesson while keeping the tower to tower brace? Or should I remove that thing even if I get a beefier shock tower?
    I like the new mount system here that protects the rear DEF case. When is that going to be available. I’m a bit frustrated with voltage hobbies because I really wanted to buy a rear shock tower from them but it’s never available. It’s been a couple of months or so and it’s just sold out. Do you have an idea when that new brace system will actually be available?

      Great idea my friend 👍. I was using 1/4" self adhesive felt padding on my body above the cage bars. They were the brown looking rectangles I bolted the camera base to. My body is too cracked up front to not flop around some at this point 🤣🤣😎💪👊👊

      Thanks so much Brother 👊!!!! I'm running a 20T pinion with this Hobbystar 1730kv long can motor 👍. I normally run a 16T with the stock 2050kv BLX motor setup. 🤘🤘😎💪👊👊

      Cheers for coming back to me. It’s good to know 👍. Yeah, mine is stock for now 😉 but will be getting a few upgrades eventually. Just going to use it how it is for a good while and decide on where to go with it. 🤜🏼

      If dialing down your shock collars doesn't work, I'd check your shock shafts to make sure they didn't bend 🤔. It takes a lot of force, but bent shafts can cause the shocks to stick downward and not spring back up properly. 🍻😎💪👊👊

    Rich, how MANY holes are in each piston, front and rear? I know you said 1.3 and 1.5, but we need to know how many!! Awesome vid as always brother

    • @richduperbash2966
      @richduperbash2966  5 років тому +1

      Thanks Brother👊!!! There are 8 holes just like the stock pistons, but comparing M2C pistons to others may be impossible 👀. The piston is thicker and has a rubber O-ring that encircles the outer edge along with tiny slits directing oil towards the O-ring on one side. I've never seen another piston like it before. They're machined to very exact tolerances and feel WAY smoother than the stock setup. 😎💪👊👊

    Hey Brother,
    Awesome bash... Think I've watched this one like four times 😁😂
    What position you like to run your suspension front and rear with them M2c mounts?
    And why you prefer the T-bone Typhon bumper on your Kraton vs the RPM?
    I currently have the Full Thrasher for the Kraton with their(T-bone) front block. And don't know if I like that I can't use stronger hinge pin brace up front because of their (T-bone) block.... Plus I can't even dream of M2C hinge pin kit up front because of that.... So I'm thinking of doing a bumper I can incorporate with upgraded hing pin kits (RPM or T-bone Typhon??)??
    Thoughts?
    Thanks brother
    Bash on

      Thanks Brother 👊!!!! I generally run my Kraton and Outcast shocks in the stock center position, both with Mitch's ZRS bladderless cap and piston setup 👍. Way better dampening and less after bounce. I run Typhon Tbone Basher bumpers on all my 6s rigs. Simply like them smaller with no front diff case attachment or blocks. I've never ran RPM, but lots of my buddies dig them. That's the bumper Mitch recommends with his suspension mounts, but the Typhon Tbone works great for me. 🚀🚀😎💪👊👊

    what's the best servo for bash?

    • @richduperbash2966
      @richduperbash2966  5 років тому +1

      You'll get a lot of different opinions on this 👀. I normally run Savox SW 1210sg servos, but have been trying Power HD 23kg ones in 3 of my basher's for awhile now and they're doing great 👍. Both are waterproof and share the same basic specs. The Power HD's are much more affordable. 😎💪👊👊

      Hey Brother 👊. I grew up in the South Bay. Lots of good memories 🤗. Unfortunately, this spot got leveled for development by the new land owners in October 2019. It was known as Township 9 bike park in Sacramento. The City said they'd build a more permanent jump park, but haven't seen anything yet. Great spots are hard to come by. 🍻😎💪👊👊
