Shimming the diffs helps a ton if you don't already. I usually use 2 shims on them to tighten up the mesh.
Got my Krston 6s EXB a few days ago and just found out about these old talions. Found a CLEAN EXB RTR with all new open diffs for $550 I’m picking up Friday

I got the BLX version of the Kraton and its pretty sick.
I smashed the front control arms and upgraded to RPM arms.
I also have Sweep racing Road crusher tires that are belted, makes it much more controllable for high speed pavement runs.

Ive had my V5 Kraton for a couple of months now and ive recently locked the center diff and it made a huge difference in handling and power... no balooning on the front tires now and the steering improved at speed. I definitely recommend throwing an earplug in the center diff 😁

Check and make sure the wing screws are the length they are supposed to be. My brand new Outcast EXB 6S had 10mm screws instead of the 16mm screws shown on the exploded diagram. The 10mm screws didn't even touch the threads of the lock nut for the wing screws. Emailed Horizon and literally 8 minutes later got a response.
I’m deciding on which to buy. The kraton doesn’t come with the red alu upgrades that the Talion does. Great video!

I’d like to see a bunch of drag races with these rigs. I mean we all speed run them when the grass is too wet or the mud is just too much. I mean don’t get me wrong, I love doing that stuff, just not all the time because after I run my stuff I clean them thoroughly.
I mean each week have a bunch of people like up their trucks and just like CarWow let’s launch these suckers.

Kraton EXB have faulty LSDs in front and rear. Switch to standard diffs from the Kraton and you’re gtg per my local hobby shop.

Hi mate I'm running 1250kv motor with max 5 esc in my 1/8 kraton. If you have a spare diff housing shim it in the old housing and put fine valve grinding paste and with a drill run it for 10 to 15 minutes both ways. This will take off high points and everything will mesh together. Pull apart clean re shim and put it back together done properly and it will last 3 time's longer than any upgraded parts. I haven't done a differential in over 2 years 👍🦘😁

Those exb diffs have been a problem my friend especially if you don't shim them I don't know if you did or not but they have been a problem for others as well

Yes I think when you get the truck you must pull out front and rear diff and make sure that they are shimmed properly. Also check the fluids🤩👍⚡⚡⚡

@@thunderrc Well before i even built mine, i shimmed both diffs and they both needed at least 1 shim per. So I think it might be best to check them over...Only 15 minutes of work to shim...

Does the team corally motor or just the esc need to replace the existing spektrum on the Talion? I have both the Muraco and the Talion and am now thinking of swapping things because I do definitely like the Talion better. I am getting 63 mph with an 18 tooth on the Talion. 61 stock for the Muraco.

My full m2c v5 kraton build does great but I did have to shim my diffs right out of the box and the rear one on mine was completely empty on fluid so I had to fill it

All the EXB vehicles have the stupid LSD diff system that is known for issues. You gotta re-shim them and use part # ARA311094 to replace the star plates and return the diffs to standard open diffs to avoid breaks. The LSD system just has too many issues. The Kraton is more prone to breaking diffs because its heavier and uses larger tires.
Awesome comparison! Been wanting to see this!!! Rear diff may need a shim washer? Definitely not an overpower problem... seems guys are doing that now..
Thank you so much🤩⚡️🥇 So I took the diffs out of the Kraton and removed the slipper shims in the front and rear. Then I shined the planetary gears with open shims from Arrma. Never had a diff problem since 🥇🙌

hey thunder bro any reason your not running the spektrum 6s set up.i find mine on my typhon to be unresponsive at low end and sort of laggy. idk it just definitely does not run as smooth as my castle esc running unsensored motors. idk i think i just need a new esc. its taken quite a few hot suppers. anyways killer as always bro rock on
