If you get that private range space you should consider a one million subscriber long hunter immersion camp, a place that you come to barefoot and leave with moccasins you made, a place where every fire is started with a flintlock and the past is now. A rehab center for those sickened by today. A place to learn it by living it, and every day is yesterday. The cafeteria is a pond routinely stocked with beaver and a free-range buffalo heard. A place for those who hear the call of the wild the loudest and wish to answer it for the fire burning in their soul. A place where greasy buckskins are a tuxedo and fat meat over fire is filet mignon. An eternal rendezvous for those who have not gone under yet.

Believe me, my buddies and I have dreamed about this very idea for well over a decade! If I can make it happen I will!

Thank you! There's more young people interested in blackpowder and history than you'd think!

Have you been to Fort Loudoun in Tennessee? There’s a lot of history there. Including the Sequoia Birthplace and a reconstructed F&I fort. They have events where you can fit right in and maybe even trade.

I love your channel man glad to hear you got some cool stuff going on. If you need outdoor range recommendations i know a few out in idaho, and oregon since im not really sure where you are located. I grew up with my grandpa and we would make flintlocks together I still have the first one I made with him and used it to hunt for about 4 years.

I am just starting out and I would love to see a video that shows in detail your belt, each item on it and how you wear them. Im making my own gear. Its pretty basic but it would be helpful. love your videos. keep up the good work.

Looking forward to seeing more. A suggestion would be that as a frontiersman persona to do some real hunting. Show the skills that are necessary such as wind awareness, stalking and still hunting techniques etc. It is in my opinion the ultimate living history activity for a frontiersman and one that can truly be a life and death scenario in the present just as it was in the past. It is after all what they were out there for. See what that flintlock can really do. Thanks.

Admirable goals! Sounds like you have a lot going on... and a lot more planned for the near future! A "contrast & comparison" between The Shining Mountains & The Appalachians would be interesting! In addition to your "Fighting With A Tomahawk" series... I would suggest adding a Long Knife in the off hand. This combination of hand to hand weapons was very effective on the Frontier. If you get a chance while on your travels... I would highly suggest a visit to the National Muzzle Loading Rifle Association in Friendship, Indiana! I'll see you down the trail!

Have you done a video on how to wear historicaly accurate clothing and we’re to buy said clothes and what time periods would wear? Personally I plan on going for more of a 1820s era but don’t know what the mountain men of that time would wear

That's a big topic. I plan on doing a basic clothing video here in the near future. There was a video I uploaded last February where i go over some of my winter clothing. That might be a good starting point! If you're looking for a starting point for where to buy clothing, I'd look at Townsends, Samson historical, and South Union Mills. Thanks!
