I am grateful to be able to spend some time with my family, for the love and kindness I receive from the chronic illness community and all the amazing people I get to meet each week.
I'm grateful for people like you. And I wish you to return to better health and less worry. You seem a bit down on your latest videos. I hope you're doing good. Merry Christmas.
I'm grateful for Christmas lights, they add so much joy to winter. I'm grateful that I have good neighbors, friends and family. Especially for my steadfast and loyal husband, who is my bestie.❤
I am grateful to be spending the holidays with my family, including my first grandchild. Spending time hanging out together and resting lots. Happy moments together mean the world!
I am grateful for the wonderful memories of Christmas past. Chronic illness can steal your life and I am grateful for a strangers message of peace and comfort that lifts my spirit.
I am grateful for my life, my children and my friends, our warm and cozy home, our food. I am grateful for the Church down the street, although I am not religious it's nice to be around people in a space like that. I am grateful for this video.
Thank you so much for the lovely message, Dan. I am grateful for my sister who moved 1200 miles to be closer to me. She is my rock. I am also grateful for my friends who continue to be supportive through this challenging time. Of course, I can’t forget my cat who gives me unconditional love and hours of entertainment. 😻
Dan, first I am so grateful for you! I hope things are going well. I am grateful that you had us think of long term goals when I started your program. Eight months ago I set 3 goals for the holiday season. Be able to meet friends for lunch at a cafe, spend two days at the beach to celebrate my son's 50th birthday, and be able to go to my nephew's house for Thanksgiving and play with my one year old grand niece. I did it!!! It seemed absolutely impossible when you asked us to set these goals. So thank you thank you thank you -for all you do. Have a beautiful holiday.
Thanks Dan for those sage words, that are so relevant, not just to this festive season, but any season. I’m grateful to my partner for being so supportive - he’s cooking dinner for my brothers this evening, and my sister and partner who’ve travelled 800 miles from the opposite end of the country to cook the turkey for us all tomorrow. I haven’t done all the cleaning and present wrapping I’d intended to, so thanks for reminding me that’s not so important! Merry Christmas all.
Thank you for the very thoughtful message Dan. The ME community has been an immense support to me this year. I am much improved and feeling optimistic for a better year to come. Merry Xmas 🎄.
Merry Christmas Santa Dan💞 Thank you for your well spoken tips and wishes for us all. I really feel like I’m on the right track listening to your 3 tips because I’ve been focusing on these things this season. I’ve learned to embrace minimalism and I find happiness in the very smallest things like a hug from hubby, the beautiful fluffy white snow, a glistening ornament on the tree, and especially the thought of the true meaning of Christmas. My husband and I were just discussing how grateful we are to be home this Christmas since my husband was in the hospital fighting cancer almost all of last December. We also spoke of our gratitude for having electricity because we had a terrible storm last December which left us without electricity, water and heat (we live in a cold climate) for four days and three nights. We are praising the Lord for what we’re grateful for this Christmas season!💞
I am so very thankful for the pet cats I have had in my life. They show unconditional love and model a life of simplicity, presence and calm contentment.
I too am grateful for the kindness and the reminder to give myself permission to be imperfect and to simplify. And I’m grateful for my 81 year old mum, who helped prepare our meal last night and really took care to help me with the decorations and so on. Must of all I’m grateful to celebrate another Christmas with her.
Thank you for a beautiful message. I am thankful for the providers who have dedicated their careers to treating and curing ME. And for all of the amazing support I have around me.
Im grateful for the kindness of this message, Dan. And I’m grateful for my favourite and most comforting novels being in audiobook form so I can listen to them and relax whenever things get a bit too demanding. Best wishes to everyone ✨💚
grateful I have recovered, thanks in part to CFS unravelled. At Christmas I remember Christmas past when I was so unwell. Sage advice here, if you are unwell, drop expectations of perfectionism, make time for you. Grateful I have learnt enough to do less at Christmas, to take time to go slow.
Merry Christmas Dan 🎅 This video helped a lot. Trying to focus on small positive things..just be. That is excellent I wish you and everyone out there suffering/coping, peace and ❤️
Thank you Dan! I’m grateful for a peaceful home at my parents’, feeling so much better than I did one year ago, and that I’ve been able to make art during my recovery process.
Thank you for your amazing work and invaluable support.Your wisdom, kindness and empathy literally changes people's lives.May you and your family have a beautiful Christmas ❤
I am grateful for being able to listen, to be present, to interact with my family since my brain is more clear than last year. The fog in my brain shows the blue sky more and more often 🙂. Merry christmas to everyone.
Thankyou Dan❤ Im grateful for the beautiful snow on the ground outside my windows😊 And the nice audiobook ive been enjoying. And my husband and children❤
Hi Dan, thank you for your message and the program you developed and putting it out there for anyone who is ready to do it. I did it 2 years ago and will be forever thankful for it.
I have a 15 pound prime rib and a 14 pound ham which I was going to serve at my Long planned Christmas dinner. I began feeling ill today and my daughter came home with the flu. I will be grateful to divide the meat for family members to cook; but most especially, I will thank the Infant Jesus for all of His blessings over the years. Sometimes it takes something like this to make me realize why we celebrate this beautiful holiday....God bless you all!
Thank you Dan. I'm very grateful for having a home and people that love me. Also for this community and people like you that are helping us to get well. Have a very Happy Christmas Dan and thanks for all that you do.
I am thankful for my hubby who takes care of me as best he can. and I am so grateful to have found your program Dan which I started a couple months ago. although mostly still bedbound I have seen some significant improvements which have made my family so happy❤ I am supposed to finally go see my grandchildren this week, but I’m experiencing a severe crash and I would be very depressed about it if I didn’t have such a belief that this program is going to continue to bring back my health! Thank you and merry Christmas🎄
Thank you, Dan. May you have a wonderful Christmas and holiday season as well. I'm most grateful for having my husband in my life. He gives me so much care, love, support, and good humor. It will be a very quiet Christmas with the two of us. This will be our 46th year of celebrating Christmas together. I'm blessed and loved beyond my wildest dreams.
I am grateful for my wonderful husband, not just at Christmas! He is my coach and confidante in my slow - but steady - recovery journey. Thank you, Dan, for giving me guidance and especially hope!
im so grateful for the magic that Christmas brings my 5 year old daughter and her happiness brings me so much joy. I am also so grateful for you, Dan. You have saved my life in so many ways. Thank you! I love you.
Thank you for the reminders in your message. So true. Merry Christmas/Happy Holidays to all here in this time. So many together and yet apart. I try to remember that it's not just me. Some days I am just grateful for the quiet, or the warmth or that one part does not hurt and focus on that. I am grateful for all the help I have received along the way. Love to all.
Hi Dan, thank you for your thoughtful and supportive message. It’s so easy to slip into doing too much and then the regrets that follow. Good reminder! P.S. I like your new look!
Hello Dan. I’m new here. I’m really trying to be positive and grateful. But it’s kinda hard when your body is on Fire. The Burning is severe with no relief.. I do wish everyone a Merry Christmas..
Nothing wrong with that at all! My favorite Christmas was about 7 Christmases ago-we had a blizzard here and nobody could make it to our house. Later in the day, as I was about to start making a big meal, my husband said “hey, why don’t we cook in a day or two when everyone can come over and this evening after the snowplow comes through, I’ll go get us pizza.” Truthfully, it was one of my favorite Christmases-just my hubby, daughter and myself hanging out all day in our pjs. My life was really hectic back then and I never had a chance to do that so it was truly special. He called around and finally found a deli at a gas station that was selling pizza, and it was actually very tasty. I still talk about that Christmas to this day. Enjoy your day, finding every little thing to be grateful for. Many blessings to you this Christmas 💕
Hi Dan I always look forward to hearing what you have to say. Since I have been sick ( Jan 2023 long covid and a diagnosis of CFS) my family has disconnected from me. I have lost my marriage. I have lost my job ( 30 years as a pharmacist) and currently I am in an intensive treatment program for mental health. I am struggling and finding it so very hard to feel joy. I am however thankful for the things I can do, the moments when my head feels normal, and my dog, cat, and rabbit. It is a very quiet home. Often a very sad place. I desire so very much to find some purpose in my life at this point. I do enjoy helping others, but not able to volunteer much because I lack the stamina. I have tried a couple of times to connect with Health Rising….. have not heard back. I am currently also trying to find support groups on Facebook. I live in Connecticut, USA. Do you have any suggestions of contacts for support and education about these chronic illnesses? I feel invisible most of the time these days. Thank you and Merry Christmas!
Hi, my name is Ros and I live in South Africa. I have very similar problems as you have, perhaps worse. It is Christmas Eve and I have to lie down, but I have saved all this and will chat to you after Christmas. I hope you cope.
I am grateful to be able to spend some time with my family, for the love and kindness I receive from the chronic illness community and all the amazing people I get to meet each week.
