    WOOHOO!!! I've been healing for about 13 months now. I am now exercising 3 times a week, taking daily walks, working part time and having more freedom. Next year I am going to start a UA-cam channel on CFS/ME Healing and share A LOT of what I've learned. I made a promise to myself to give back what I've learned. Having CFS/ME is like being in hell while being blindfolded.

    I’ve been brutal for the past seven years. I left a corporate job making 6-figures but working 60 hrs a week. I left a 3 bedroom home to live in a one bedroom apartment. I immigrated from a big city in the US to a smaller town in Mexico. I run an online business that allows me to work on my schedule, to sleep in without an alarm clock. I love my body as my best friend, and ask her what she needs from me. I putter around in the garden, I write (my life purpose), I dance for five minutes and I’m cool with that. I take time off before I go to a family event and rest after. I ground myself with feet on the ground. I trust my intuition with practitioners, with supplements, with food. And I realized that I am partially recovered, but was thinking that I wasn’t doing enough because I am not ‘cured’. I’ve walked a long journey and I’m proud of myself.

    A Top Tier recovery video. 👏 The more
    this message gets in my brain the more I can see the end of this nightmare.
    For me, chronic stress and sympathetic dominance is by far the key to unlocking the cell door. In this current climate stress seems to be around every corner.
    The body wants to heal. The nervous system wants to regulate. The brain gets in the way every time. Whether it is our limiting beliefs or like you said Dan, our outright behavior.
    I thank God, the universe, and all that is good for both of you and those like you who are forces of light. Thank you.

      If possible get rid of and avoid stressful situations and people in your life. Even though I'm recovered I can't handle stress and so I accept this and live accordingly. I don't watch the news and that's helped a lot! lol I just live each day in a way that makes me comfortable. I don't put any expectations on myself because I never know what I will be able to do or handle and it's been working. I'm less critical of myself and my limitations, I've just settled into who I am now. I wish you the best in your recovery journey :-)

    Thanks for this, you two--very inspiring! I am in recovery (about 3 months in after being sick on and off for 20 years), and I've been wanting my recovery to go quickly (too impatient!), but just lately I've realized that it's ok to recover veeeeery slowly...and it's really the only way to recover. Little by little, day by day...patience and baby steps WILL get me there. 💖

    I recently got pots, didn’t get diagnosed yet but I’m in the process. I have many symptoms of dysautonomia. This video is giving me hope and especially because I live in a country where no one knows about these conditions. I’ve had a feeling from the beginning that I will recover from this and I will do everything it takes. But like everyone else I loose hope sometimes, that’s a part of the process I guess. I really appreciate this video! Thank you 💗

    Yes, my Fibro started after I had a bad case of flu. 103° temperature and dehydration. A few short weeks later I got dehydrated again. I was also a single parent, in the military and trying to check all the boxes for both rolls. That’s when my health started going bad. My doctor ran every non-invasive test he could think of. One day he finally started pressing on me in different areas and they all hurt. His diagnosis was Fibromyalgia Syndrome and CFS. My efforts for healing started when I decided to keep changing my diet until something worked. I still have flare ups occasionally, but it’s my thought that I lived with this too long before I finally started healing. I agree, physical problems can cause a mental struggle. My edit here is adding that you are right about doing several things at the same time to promote healing.

Support groups can be positive places and it all really depends on who u end up talking to but i understand that there are ME sufferers who don't want to hear recovery stories as they don't believe it's possible or think that it's something fixed that requires a medical cure.

      A vaccine is a stressor designed to get the immune system to react for the purpose of creating immunity. As such, it's normal that people get symptoms, but obviously people experience this illness have the potential for a stronger symptom reaction. Try to be patient, hopefully you will bounce back soon.

    My mom got over her CFS with TCM - Traditional Chinese medicine (acupuncture, diet and herbs). She was already getting up more after 2 months of treatments, after a year of treatment, she was pretty much 100% (even ran her first marathon in celebration). There's still some weird stuff that crops up that I think is related to the CFS but she hasn't experienced the fatigue in like 30 years. That's why I don't think it's a cure but a treatment.
    If ppl are interested in exploring that option and are taking any meds just make sure the acupuncturist you see is a MD (most of them are these days).
    I really hope this can help some ppl struggling with this.

    You say if you could go back, the first thing you would have done is get psychological support. I did that with different therapists and it is not a magic key. To perpetuate that CBT is essential is toxic (based on my personal experience) and an added stressor. The way I see it today, as I watch more videos, some recover and some never do.

    • @rachelk5272

      I’m confused by recovery stories that are based on expensive mind training programs, it just seems like it doesn’t make sense could it be they also changed a lot of things like improving their sleep schedule, I don’t know it just doesn’t make sense beyond the way it would help to relax and do relaxing things for any illness. And I’m a big fan of therapy I like therapy but it seems odd that it would cure this. I also had a remission and it had nothing to do with reducing stress or training my brain. My mom also has gotten better at times with diet. It’s weird the whole thing is weird

      So I spent some time last night looking at Dans website and watching some videos, I’m going to get his book on kindle and sign up for the first 4 classes free thing bc I completely agree with him on the autonomic system being at the core of a lot of the symptoms and I’ve been thinking about it for a while now how to tap into that. I also was reading on the health rising site from a couple years ago about him and I was impressed by how he handled very critical and downright mean comments, I think I would tell people to F off after a while, so that and his interview with teitelbaum I found interesting and I’ve heard enough to look into it more. I’m really annoyed when people say this is a mental disorder or imaginary but I don’t think that’s what Dan is suggesting after looking at his ideas more closely.

    • @CFSUnravelled1
      @CFSUnravelled1  3 роки тому +1

      I am not sure there are any magic keys. People certainly have different experiences - I think a lot depends on the therapist and their experience with chronic illness. If something doesn't support you, adjust your approach. Indeed many people never recover, but that doesn't mean it's not possible for them.

    • @CFSUnravelled1
      @CFSUnravelled1  3 роки тому +1

      Indeed it doesn't make sense, until we understand the common denominator being the ANS. When you listen to people's recovery stories, you will find that they usually do more than solely 'brain-training'. I make a point of digging for these other strategies.

    Question: so if an approach is multilateral, like in your program Dan, on the top of addressing ANS, there needs to be "searching" of other potentials by seeing many other doctors, wouldn't it be the slightly a similar experience of fear that you described in the video where the fear of not knowing what's the issue that is causing it all (maybe substracting the fact that ANS is always the constant variable to be addressed)?

    • @CFSUnravelled1
      @CFSUnravelled1  2 роки тому

      What a great question. Indeed this is a bit of a double edged sword - being aware of this challenge is probably the biggest step towards solving it. I don't think we should endlessly search for other potential dysfunctions triggering us. However, as part of the recovery process (& diagnosis), we need to be thoroughly investigated and take stock of any issues that could be triggering our symptoms. If there are specific issues that are very severe and treatable, take some steps towards supporting the body to recover from these is helpful. But we don't want to endlessly search for problems, because that makes no sense once we understand the wider picture and that wouldn't be helfpul.
