    I second that: with the MF900, Oxelo offers a great skate for a smalle price. I bought me a pair of them two months ago and I absolutely love them. The only thing I regret is: why did I wait so long to get those? They are truly a joy to roll around in.

    Hey, I've got MF500 (newer version) and after a month or so I decided to upgrade it to a triskate with a flying eagle frames and 110mm laserwheelz, this is my favourite setup. I skated 300+ km this summer and autumn and after all I found out there is a replaceable ice blades and just yesterday I went ice skating with the same boot, magic! So basically you've got four-wheel skate, three-wheel skate and an ice skates at the price of about 200 eur.
    My feedback is boot is indeed quite bulky and heavy and def needs a v-cut!

    hey tiago!
    when i was a kid i saw a couple of skaters around the area here and there and found the sight fascinating. I had a rusty pair of skates and played around with them a bit but never actually skated properly.
    so although I admired skating, i never really got into it and with time, I completely forgot about it.
    but i recently fell into a rabbit hole under the topic of skating and inline skates definitely sparked an insane amount of excitement in me, allowing me to recall how amazing the skating world and skaters seemed to me as a child.
    and now at 19, my first proper inline skates are on their way

      The usa offerings from oxelo are trash. Don't understand why they don't offer them in USA.

    Happy New Year, and great to see you out having fun again, Tiago!
    I've posted a few videos using the upgraded MF500 and I get regular questions about them; there's defo a demand for them. The cost of skates can put people off even trying inline skating and I feel Oxelo have been smart in introducing a quality skate at this price point into the market. More skaters is good for us all, right? I agree with you about the pressure point, I feel this on both skates. I thought it was due to the lace so I created another loop-hole but it's defo the boot. My only real complaint is the 2-peice frame bolts, I really don't like them. I found the frames very capable; I've switched them out with an older Seba frame and didn't notice any difference in terms of weight or power transfer, but the 2-peice bolts make wheel rotation a real chore and it was enough to cause me to switch the frames. Please thread these frames, Oxelo! Nice review, Tiago!

  • @Bavmorda
    @Bavmorda 3 роки тому

    Welcome back, and a delayed happy new year to you too!
    I've had the old MF500 for more than 2 years now, using them almost every day, and I can confirm it's an awesome skate for the price. Specially now that they come with harder wheels (although the softer ones could actually be a good choice if a beginner skater will take classes on an inside rink).
    I did have to glue some soft material on the inside of those pressure points too (I have a high arch on my feet, could that be the problem?). Trying different ways of lacing have also helped.
    Of course during this time I've been upgrading them (right now they have an adapted old UFS Powerslide 4x84 frame and an AMAZING Sifika liner, both from a second hand Powerslide Vintage, as well as new wheels every now and then), but they're more than enough as they come out of the box.
    The worst (or best!) of Decathlon products is their terrible (in my experience) consumer services. I said best because, since they make it so hard to replace their products' parts, that encourages people to go looking on proper skate shops/companies.
    I still wish I could buy that three wheel frame separately to put on my skates. But I'm pretty sure that won't be possible, and I don't trust AliExpress and that kind of cheap shops... So I'll have to save some money to buy a better frame, ideally a modern design with one piece bolts. (BTW, I think they insist on that design because it's compatible with the rest of their adult skates, which can come handy for replaces)
    Anyway, nice to see you again 😃

    Je viens de trouver ta chaîne et je l'adore. Tes vidéos sont super informatives, tout en étant faciles à comprendre, ce que je trouve assez rarement. Tu fais un travail nickel!
    En regardant ta chaîne j'ai décidé que je voulais commencer à faire du rollerblading et je me suis acheté des skates de chez Oxelo aussi. La première fois j'ai pris la taille que je chausse d'hab, mais il me faisaient mal. Maintenant, j'ai pris une taille de plus, mais j'ai toujours des doutes.
    Alors j'ai deux questions à te demander, à condition que tu veuilles répondre, je ne t'oblige pas :))
    1. Quand tu portes tes rollers favoris, est-ce que tes orteils touchent à l'intérieur de la botte ou as-tu encore un peu d'espace pour les remuer?
    2. Si tu t'en souviens, comment cela a-t-il été pour toi avec tes nouvelles skates: est-ce que toi aussi tu avais un peu mal aux orteils et ça s'est-il estompé au fur et à mesure que tu les utilisais?

    • @TiagoInlineSkater

      I'm also 157cm! I think we have to take the skating style + skater size in consideration! I'm short, and really like to do a lot of little tricks etc; so I much prefer shorter frame & wheels so it goes with my heigh and skating style! but if it is for general skating, city skating, I wouldn't really mind longer frames and bigger wheels! It's just that I'd find them less fun for me, and I have to adapt the way I skate a little bit ( not really an issue tho!) Hope what I just wrote makes sense haha xD!

    I bought these but had to return them. At first, really nice, skated around 20km per week with them for 3 weeks straight. All of a sudden they hurted my ankle so bad, i couldnt even skate 1km without going through immense pain. I traded them in for Rollerblade RB110 and my god, they do feel 100 times better in total, especially the liner (its super comfortable and robust). Please be aware, saving some extra money for a pair of RB110 (in my case) made my skating experience so much better.

    Hey Tiago,
    I just discovered your channel, and I have been binge-watching! What a great job you do here 💪🏽 I was wondering if we can mount a frame from the MF500 to the MF900 boots?
    And then switch from 3x110 to 4x80 wheels!

    • @knightsljx
      @knightsljx 3 роки тому +1

      the boots are standard 165mm mounts, you can use any frame that follows that standard including speed skate frames and other brand frames. The MF500 frames are surprisingly good for a budget skate. their wall design makes them rigid despite not having cross braces.

      Hello!
      La plus grosse différence entre ces 2 modèles se situe dans la partie inférieure de ces patins: une platine en 3x110 pour les mf900 et 4x80-76 pour les mf500. A part ça, c'est a peu pres pareil!

    One question, do you know if I can mount the MF900 frame in the MF500 skates?
    It would be nice to know as I want to learn with 4 wheels but in the future would like to transition to 3 wheel without necessarily buying a new pair.
    Also if you knew of other 3wheel frame that could fit the MF500 would be ideal!

    To be honest, the biggest problem with the MF series is the liner. After a few months of use, it flattens and becomes uncomfortable and unsupportive. The sponge is of very very very poor quality. Otherwise, the skate is really worth the money. Have fun!
