were you able to use the banisher while on tretinoin? and did it help with ice pick scars? i want to try the banisher but i’m not sure if i should start while on tret; even if i only use once a week with no purging.

I’m moving onto the banisher. I have old acne scars I’ve been derma rolling often on for years. Never sterilized my derma roller ever.. .hahaaa. I just rinse it off with hot water and may be a little soap. Don’t worry about infection because it doesn’t go deep enough to cause anything horrible. I just wish the Banisher wasn’t so expensive or I would’ve used it long ago. I’ve been using Retin-A for scars and that does absolutely nothing. I’ve been using Retin-A for 20 years for wrinkles.
NGL I am terrified of this causing even more hyperpigmentation. My skin tone is deeper than yours so even minor little injuries & minor inflammatory responses can cause pigment darkening 😢😢😢😢😢
I feel that! Banish actually provides before and after pics on their website even for POC but I get how it might be iffy hahaha I was scared a lil at first too🥰😭😭
DO NOT do this. I have a similar complexion to yours, high melanin, super sensitive skin that loves hyperpigmentation after acne lmao. Micro-needling is so so abrasive and unnecessary. To fade acne scars, just use vitamin c, niacinamide and retinol & trust me, those hyperpigmentation it’ll fade overtime. Be patient and results will be seen. Dont listen to this idiot. He’s just a skincare amateur on the internet. I’d trust reliable people eg, mixed makeup who constantly quotes dermatologists, actual dermatologists on youtube and of course do what works for your skin. If you have darker skin you cannot micro needle as it’ll cause unnecessary hyperpigmentation
