this is the most nigtmare mission in game.
Probably alot of new comments are the ones who has trouble on on the C&C Remastered. This really helped alot!
0:03: Frank Klepacki (soundtrack composer) getting choked out by Joe Kucan (Kane, and cinematic director).
Fun fact, the security guard of who gets assassinated in the cut scene in Frank Klepacki, the guy who made all the C&C music tracks. Nice work in the mission :)
The masked guy who "kills" him is none other than "Kane" himself, Joseph Kucan. ^_^
Any kind of mission that limits your forces and doesn't allow base building is an absolute terror.
Then I guess you'd absolutely hate Sudden Strike and Blitzkrieg!
I actually loved Red Alert's in door missions. Despite what you describe above not being my cup of tea either.
@@Lanadra Oh I hated the indoor missions. The stress of losing irreplaceable units was too much for my kid self back then. Used to take me like ten tries of trial and error to map out the right strategy to get through a level. Fog of War makes everything worse.
these missions were my favourite because as a child I *hated* basebuilding, mainly because I wasn't very good at it and those missions always took me a very long time whereas these missions were, relatively, quick
'Uhhfirmaghtive" - Engineer.
"Akreed" - Soviet soldier
@@ParleLeVu Ashmowledged
Engineer sounds like he is an old guy, that is why he says "Uhhfirmaghtive" lol 😂😂😂
Took me about 5 years to beat this mission when I was young! Just couldnt get my head around a strategy. This was long before popping youtube on for a guide! But when I did beat it think I was like 17 or 18....ahh was amazing felt like an acomplishment :p amazing :)
The Soviet scientists just stood there doing nothing while the Allied engineers planted charges on the generators. lol
They're afraid. And they don't know how to defuse bombs.
"I am scientist. I do research, not bomb defusing!"
@@LeningradetZ I mean... bomb-defusing isn't rocket science, merely basic circuitry. Now, if you're wrong it is a risky business, but if you have the ability to take your time, you can ensure that you don't get vaporized.
@@benruss4130 But you can't always take your time -- there's always a time limit when you're working with bombs, and you might not know how much time you got!
Those underground missions are really hard. It's in fact another type of game. The soviet variety also doesn't have the Medic. Though I'm not sure what's better. Relying on medic means you get fewer troops at the start.
+bormisha They're tough cos of the maze unfamiliarity, other than that they're pretty easy actually
+RC1985 But only if you tried it before or looked up the map on the Internet. Otherwise it is almost impossible to do this mission becuase of the time limit. Even your speedrun took over 46 minutes game time (which runs much faster than real time, except if you play at the lowest possible speed). If you don't finish this mission in 60 minutes game time, you lose. Imho this mission is the hardest of all original campaign missions.
They're also hard because of how fragile infantry units are. These missions wouldn't be too bad in RA2 since infantry are a lot more robust.
I mean, a single grenadier can and will kill 5 guys at once if they are in the yellow zone of health!
The Ugly Barnacle not just that, the ranges are different too. the range of the guns to attack are alot shorter than shooting to defend
bormisha You're forgetting one thing, unlike the second part of Mission 11 (the indoor part of the mission that takes place after having infiltrated the Soviet Command Center), you don't have Tanya there to mop up. Your rifle soldiers have to rely on their own reflexes to dispatch the Soviet troops.
I hate everything about this mission. Its not even fun to play.
Underdog_3.7S550 I can relate to that. Even though the PlayStation version has the exact same missions as the PC version (for both campaigns), this one in particular is a real pain in the ass, primarily due to it being the second-to-last mission in the Allied campaign, and no Tanya to take the pressure off.
Yeah, i had 7 different savegames. one click, shot, healing, savin... xD
Nonsense.
One of my favourite missions
I remember playing it on a more modern PC and the timer would speed up to the CPU sync making it impossible to complete..
Guess the soviets win!
You're a hero. I just completed this mission on hard on the remastered version of the game on Steam by following your every literal step. Thanks!
Glad I helped! :)
This^
i hate this mission so much :-(
i play on my ps1 with a controller on easy difficulty and i just can't make it..... you can't even save......all other missions were fine but i can't finish this one.....
and the worst thing is my infantry never auto attack someone like a dog if they get close.....i always need to click on them.....
for example: in your video you point on enemies and your troops shoot, my do the same, but if they keep running yours shoot automatically and lay down but mine never do that.....
they always rather die and i don't know why :-(
*EDIT* i fucking did it!!!!! :D so happy, and god that was stressful.....it took me like 4-5 hours now.
the trick with the infantry is that they shoot automatically when they stand still and i didn't knew that....i was just running in wondering why they don't kill anyone when they see someone.....lol
and you need to know a few spots from the map of course.....
like the grenadier in the beginning on the right side, u trick him with one guy and the others come from the side and kill him...
or at the end with the flamethrowers you can run immediately to the bottom when the enemies are out of sight....
and the medic is probably the MVP in this mission!
i haven't played the soviets yet, kinda excited to see what i get there.
but one thing is for sure, when im done with everything i will never play red alert again on ps1......
you just don't play strategy games with a controller it makes things just harder....it is possible, and funny but the game itself is definitely designed for pc.
anyway thanks alot for your video too you are a great player :-)
affirmative-agreed-agreed-affirmative-agreed-agreed-affirmative...
The reason this mission is tough at hard level is because units move slower than units moving at medium or easy difficulty level. Engineers seem to be the exception.
This run can even be faster if you split up your team for the terminals at the bottom of the map. Send one engineer + 1 or 2 soldiers to the left (passing the V2 missiles) and the rest to the right. When the engineer has done his job you can just forget about him and the few soldiers accompanying him because you still have plenty of units for the other terminals.
it just ain't right to kill a guy while lighting up. Damn allied dogs.
and its the second time too! i forgot what mission, but the man's twin was already assassinated in similar fashion
NovaPrime1869 let us hope the Soviets gave the widow a ham
And it was Kane who killed him (even though Kane was supposed to be working for Stalin!)
The fella who died is the composer of 'Hell March' - Frank Klepatcki...
@@agentorange153 Kane will work for anyone that can benefit his progress.
0:11 , soldier getting chocked , before the arm wrapped his neck , that is some next level suffocation preparation!
Ninja Kane Vs Comrade Frank
As a child I never got past this level.
I did. But it took several attempts. I guess, it took whole day just to understand its pattern.
@@ManuMitra I never did get to this level -- the highest one I completed was the missile base, but that was because I didn't have time!
I followed this speedrun route and just made it by 20 seconds at the remastered version. I think I did not make many mistakes.
This is my undisputed choice for hardest mission in the main RA game. I hated the bullshit of Soviet attack dogs killing your infantry considering they’re a one hit kill on infantry and move at the speed of light during attacks, especially on the indoor missions. I wish they implemented a mechanic in it to detect dogs so a dog doesn’t appear out of the shroud and kill 3-4 infantry before I’ve had the time to react and kill the dog
This mission is tedious and adds nothing to the story. It really fails on every level.
Nice work! The only thing I would say is to use your hotkeys for your groups more, I noticed there were times where yoiu could have used the hotkeys but jnstead you were selecting the troops with the cursor. I don't know how much time this would save, but maybe a few seconds. Awesome job overall though, I hated trying to do this mission!
Well the fact is smoking can really kill you in this game
Tried this 10 times, finally gave my medics' tesla coil weapons that could range the whole map....
rules.ini for the win!
I was never able to complete this level as a child.
Thank you.
Of all the missions in this game, This is the only one O hate and despise beyond all others. Seriously. Fuck this mission.
when you come across flame towers and tessla coils in the base 😲
Oh thank God, this level making me pull my hair out.
Wait a sec...
6:32
That dog and unique looking infantry sprite... Are they..?
hey RC, is it just me or do some units like the engineers move significantly faster on hard mode? does this mean this mission is easier on this difficulty since you can get around much faster?
Although I enjoy the interior missions, this one was the worst. And what was with the money crate in the top right of the map?
Ten failed attempts and eventually completed it. Barely.
This....THIS MISSION HERE
A PAIN IN MY ASS
I recall on this mission there was an area where there were some money crates. Wes there actually any point in getting those?
A higher score at the end?
Simon McDowell crates for decoration
I fucking hate this mission over everything in CnC. Even ridiculous pathfind isn't that anxious than this particular mission..
I hate these "inside a base" missions. But I must admit, I miss the also.
literally fu*k this mission hard...
Just played this mission tonight, had 24:06 left on the clock. (I was a wimp on Normal skill level, and slower game speed though.)
Haha it was snowing before entering the building and all the snow is gone when leaving the building. Who would put flamethrowers in the building? They will defend the building but they will also burn down the building. Lol
I guess when the generators blew up, the fireball melted all the snow! :-D
I love how there are mammoth tanks and v2 launchers all in a single building.
It's a tank factory -- what do you expect???
I wonder if this actually is being played on hard. If i do this every soviet kills all my soldier and dogs take out at least two soldiers. I only have a small shot if i get close enough and let them attack me. But you always run out of time
This is the hardest Mission ever in any game, eat dust if you can't complete it like most can't.
Really hard i loved the inside base missions on red alert so fucking hard though! i spent hours as a kid getting past this ☺
If I recall correctly, you can get Tanya on this mission. Maybe not on hard? RC1985
its on an earlier mission, i know cause i recently did that one and i havent finished this one
Kristian Gjerstad yes it’s the earlier tunnel mission
Does hard actually change anything in these underground missions? I have always been under the impression it only affects the cost of your units relative to that of your opponent's units, and maybe the AI's intelligence too (though even that I'm not sure about). But as neither you nor the AI can purchase anything in the underground missions, and because the vast majority of AI movement in them is scripted or non-existent, does it really change anything in them?
Maybe health, firepower, armor bonuses or something, like the multiplayer factions? I never really looked into it.
This mission gave me nightmares
It seems either you got lucky at 6:44 or I get extremely unlucky. I am doing this mission now and when you sent the engineer in it blew up everything but one rifleman. When I send him in it leaves behind one rifleman and 4 grenadiers. I saved the game seconds before I blew it up and I keep on reloading and I still get 4 enemy grenadiers and one rifleman. Idk if I can win from here because of this.
I've never experienced your issue before , it always works for me.
Well it ended up working out. I sacrificed an engineer so the grenadiers faced one way while I sent my remaining force the other way. When I came back, I guess my riflemen got too close and their grenadiers blew themselves up. On to mission 14 and your video so I know how to beat it. Keep up the great work!!! Love your channel!!!
SS2 Lannister I’ll probably need to look into it if I ever have the time as I don’t recall this part of the mission being random or problematic. Thanks for your encouragement! :)
i saved 100x^^
Just like the First Person levels in Dungeon Keeper.. Were Ye Cheat & Invoke Horny.. patch up those wounds laddy!
Constructica fight for DNA 3DPrint Jellyfishes Function hightech.. Raiders only care about Inca style lymfemana.. Now I comprehend the Civil War..
Woah, how did your engineer run at high speed at 6.40. My engineer triggered all those troops, i had to battle all those flamethrowers. Lol
In this mission and also mission 10 the engineers run faster than usual
@@TheCNCChannel because it is "English" engineers, not greece(player house), just you can control them.
so when you play hard difficulty, they counted as the computer's unit and got 120% speed, when your own unit is 80%
魑子鈴 I see
I just can't be bothered to play these indoors missins.
Can the medic heal himself if he gets injured?
No
I HATED this mission so much.
I prefer nuclear annihilation over this mission.
no idea what anyone is saying but anyway FOR KING AND COUNTRY
*Raise your hand* all those who had the pirate version of Red Alert -- you know, _that_ version where the tiles for that mission were missing (causing a horrible graphical glitch where you couldn't see any of the walls in this maze. Making this mission almost impossible)
This mission is incredibly annoying...
GameCrook is working, all other websites only moves a progress bar and do nothing.
seems like this was on easy not hard
All my runs are on hard level
I can not believe that I've at last found a website that works. Got so many gems, coins, gold or whatever from Gamecrook.
shit mission ajjaaj
Anybody here tried Gamecrook, I've got a bro that used it and he got like so many free coins, gold, gems, diamons, etc. for free.
