Very nice video , I loved it! Btw I have a question at 3:36 I heard the sound of the trim wheel but the Captain did not use the trim with his left hand. Did he use his right hand to spin the wheel or it was the First Officer?
It's the Speed trim system. It is applied to the stabilizer automatically at low speed, i.e. during take off, after some seconds from the last pilot intervention.

Thank you for asking. One part of the control system is called "Feel And Centering Unit" . In few words, this is giving the pilot an artificial feeling of the controls in relation with airspeed. It's designed so that the faster you go the less pressure you need to make corrections. A bit similar to the control wheel of a car. So immagine during Landing with 140-150 knots, the pressure input is much larger than when Flying at high speed like 300 knots.

Thank you for sharing this awesome video captain. I have a question btw. Why did you not arm Vnav and engaged level change after departure instead ? Did you do it to accelerate faster and retract the flaps to increase climb gradient ?
Thank you for commenting. In some companies the standard procedures will not allow you to arm Vnav. Boeing also does not recommend it all times. The climb gradient and accelleration would be the same in both cases.
Even more so on approach, it confuses me though how do you know when to make these movements? is it something you have to do? because the aeroplane doesn't look like it responds to those movements, or are you flying by the seat of your pants so to speak. Excellent video by the way :)
There are a lot of small wind gusts and changes, and they need correction. If you let the yoke go, the plane would most certainly begin slowly banking left or right (in those conditions). When piloting, you don't LOOK for when to make the movements, you FEEL them. If you try a flight simulator like X-Plane 11, i think it would help a lot understanding.
That's the problem with sims Ozan you can not physically feel how the aircraft is behaving to make those corrections. A full motion one granted you could but unfortunately I'm only PC based.

Yes it does change from flight to flight in almost every airline. Roughly speaking, it determines your economy climb, cruise and descent speed depending on the aircraft gross weight. It's basically made to adjust the total fuel consumption versus total flight time. I hope it's the good answer.
how do you know we're to fly if manual and how do you line up with runway so well, thanks for the video subbed likes and I'm 11 so I'm my bday I get to go flying with a private pilot and actually sneak in a little bit of my own manual flying I guess it would be good to start of. young thanks for the vid:)

Wat ik niet begrijp is je ziet de piloot die stuurknuppel naar rechts naar links naar voor naar achter bewegen en het vliegtuig doet gewoon verder zen ding als ik dat met het stuur van mijn auto moest doen!!?? Kan iemand mij dat uitleggen aub
