- Hi Everybody,
Tried my first run with MS2020 using the latest Device Interface Manager version 2 Alpha.
Only items noted were the cargo panel - Fire Handle lights illuminate during test, the push to talk button raised and lowered the landing gear, the auto throttle would not lock into position and the MCP acted a bit funny on VNAV.
ive always been happy for people who manage to achieve such setups. enjoy them! life is short and things like that make it nicer.
Hi John, thanks. I love every minute I get to spend in the deck. Nice having a wife that doesn't have an issue with all the time I spend in the garage.
@@swannsim4658 women low key like that. they know you arent running around with another! yeah my boring husband is doing his stupid trains\planes again in the shed. but at least i know where he is!
@@johndonovan7018 hahahahaa yep
You have a DisneyWorld at home lol amazing!
Thanks !
Great to hear you’re making progress with DIM.
Looking forward to your series!
Really enjoy how you talk through all the steps to prep the aircraft for flight.
What an awesome setup, and great video.
Thanks Iceman
Cool channel... I worked at a flight simulation company many years ago in Tampa. (2) F18 cockpit, dome simulator with 360 view. Amazing how realistic... Just about fell off the platform, good thing some railing was nearby. 🤔
That's, Same thing happened to my wife when pushback started when I first had the deck installed, she grabbed onto the trainer to keep from falling over.
Impressive setup! 👍
Thanks John
Oh my word... what an amazing setup
Thanks Smokejaguar, I get in here every chance I get.
Man I'd love to do something like this. This takes an incredible amount of work, a super super lot of troubleshooting , I bet.
Not really, I had the flight deck built by Flightdeck Solutions and had their IT install it in a week with my and another friends help.
Printed out your checklist/flow. Cool stuff!
Taken right from the Boeing manual Normal Flow.
Thanks for all you do with DIM
This is so cool
Thanks SadigHowell, I get in the deck every change I get.
Great video! MSFS2024 purports to improve photogrammetry, using Bing and AI to create much better 3D scenery. I would expect a definite improvement for 2024.
Looking forward to trying that!
Brooo you have the Santo Grial in your home
Well done Captain
Thanks Balaramalan.
swann what are your thoughts on making a separate one for the a320?😂
love your work!
Think my wife would bury me in the yard if I tried to build another full simulator. 🤣
Thanks
@@swannsim4658 LOL!
Hi - a little program called Rudder Fix will do wonders for your Rudder and Tiller sensitivity for now - until MSFS fix the issue. I have been using it for a while now and greatly recommend it.
Thanks for the heads up Sydney!
dude im impressed, and also interested on knowing how you built that entire cockpit and configure all the buttons to function properly
Hi Jasmanyyiral, The flight deck came from Flightdeck solutions (cost about $100K) here is their web site: flightdecksolutions.com/ As for the functionality I'm using Device Interface Manager here is a link to that software video and download location. ua-cam.com/video/GFW9FNDrZ6I/v-deo.html
Such a good setup, I just wish you had a better mic. The audio has a ton of static in it
That's a real aviation noise cancelling headset, a Telex 850. The noise is more than likely coming from an additional audio source for flight deck sounds.
@@swannsim4658 That makes sense. I would say that it's still pretty distracting when the rest of your setup is so on point. Just food for thought. Love your channel though!
@@WilliamWeir Thanks!
Very aweosme and interesting setup! Did you make this by yourself? Or did you buy it? If so how much did it cost? Very curious haha
Purchased from Flightdeck Solutions, a company in Canada, as for the price, you're looking at six figures.
flightdecksolutions.com/
That sim probably cost as much as a type rating lol
It's a pretty penny that's for sure, checking my receipts it's about $100K.
FSChatter, does it mute when SI controller is keyed up?
I have it setup that way for XPlane 12, haven't look at setting that up in 2020 just yet.
I had to DL SI today and re-run the install.
Yeah, I'll have to do the same.
that was the most unstable approach I've seen in a while
Guess you haven't seen many of my videos! hahaha Until I can get my yoke, rudder pedal and tilller setup correctly it will continue to happen.
great setup - BUT why does everyone video from the same angle for OVHD procedures - I mean no offence seeing your head!!! How about from the right side pointing up and just see your hand etc.... then another for MIP/Pedestal.....
I only have one camera and to reposition the tripod for various views would mean I'll have to pause the sim. Not much to see on the pedestal other than changing radio frequencies as for my hands, they just use the yoke, rudder and tiller, not much to see there. A second camera would be nice with a small view off the the side.
He is a rich man be able to buid or buy it. But as a pilot you don’t need all this to fly planes. U needed only 4 thing for control Yoke(or Stick) engine(s) control and Pedals a devise to follow your head movements. it allows to fly any aircraft of human kind and beyond.
damn how much did that setup cost
About $100K
Это стимулирует меня для развития, хотя я пытаюсь построить хотябы сесну ...
I wish I had that
Thanks, I hear you, I saved for many years to purchase my baby. Love every minute I get in the deck.
@@swannsim4658 if you dont mind me asking, how much did it cost
@@Mrpie10 This was professionally built by Flightdeck Solutions, a company in Canada and you're looking at six figures for the setup.
flightdecksolutions.com/
@@swannsim4658 oh ok thanks for sharing me the link and six figures is a lot of money
where did this guy get a real 737 to play with?
Hi Ken,
Flightdeck solutions, a company in Canada. flightdecksolutions.com/
@@swannsim4658 wowsers, almost unbelievable - thanks for the reply!
I dream to have this but Maybe can’t happen due to high cost the flight cab $ how mush it cost maybe 1m-5million
You are looking at about $100K.
Why is it always a 73 sim why not a321?
Simple, I don't have the room for two full simulators in my garage, nor do I have another $100K for another flight deck.
flaps destroyed on take off. Due to poor monitoring of the flight
It was a test flight for checking hardware and software...
Delete your rolling cache. I dont have melted buildings.
Deleted every run and it's set to unlimited.
@@swannsim4658 have you tried to delete the directx cache in windows? Looks like you have some problems with the scenery. Wich server are you using inside mfs?
@@cessna18284 I have no idea on the server, wasn't aware one could pick and/or check. I completely reinstalled Windows from scratch, same issue. Thanks
@@swannsim4658 what is your terrain lod and object lod set at in settings? One thing you can try is to enable the rolling cache. Set the cache size to be 30gb. Fly over some of the citys you fly the most and let the data be cached and saved. After that, make a new flight and check again if the houses are melted look.
@@cessna18284 I'll give that a shot.
No surprise so many issues, MFS is a game. Xplane/P3D are professional flight sims for your set up. Either way, enjoyed the ride as a great learning experience. Hope the next one is better for you. I really enjoy your piloting on these vids, keep up the great work captain. 🧑✈️
Basically the same hiccups that we have with P3D and XPlane too.
Zzzzzzzz😅😅
