Meryl was perfect as Sarah. Fascinating contradiction: "alluring-receding, subtle-simple, proud-begging, defending-accusing". Incidentally, this superb actress could have sung this song herself as she is a wonderful singer as well as best actress ever.

The famous kitnkabootle productions! This was yet again a wonderful tribute to a great film. How on earth can you add three clips there showing at the same time? That was a cool effect. Great song choice, I'll have to look up the artist. ;)

This pretty music is totally inappropriate for this film. What were you thinking? Watch the movie, listen to Carl Davis.
There is no question that Carl Davis wrote a superb score for the movie. Powerful and darkly romantic, it set a somber but beautiful tone. I still own the LP version of the soundtrack and listen to it on an appropriately gloomy day when the mood strikes me. Carl's music is the total opposite of Kate's rendition of Polly. Having said that, I have to confess that I like what Kitnkabootle has created. Whereas Carl paints a sad picture of lost, unfulfilled love (right on target for the movie), this video focuses more on the happier ending of the movie within the movie. In that context, I think she has neatly paired clips from the movie with the lyrics of the song and created an equally romantic, but uplifting version which I placed on my favorites several years ago and enjoy when I'm not in a melancholy funk. The original score and movie are a classic. This, however, is still entertaining and worth a second look (or more) taken in the proper context.

Then please respect Karel's and Freddie's film. It is not ours to meddle with, even if given the opportunity.
@@barrypbeckettits a choice of the person who made the montage and it is fair enough to bring an interpretation that is theirs. Yours would be different but its inappropriate to be directive in this regard surely
