This is my favorite movie ever. I cry every single time I watch it, I just can't help it. Life can be so kind, and so cruel at the same time, and you can do nothing about it.
This movie is also the story of my life. Yet 45 years after I had to say goodbye to him, we still love each other. We hope to reunite in the next life. But just knowing that he still loves me in our elder years has made the pain bearable.
Oh my heavens , this just makes me cry. Myself had a love like this. It’s been over 50 years. Thoughts of him , make me smile. He is tucked into my heart forever❤️
Does anyone else just absolutely love the music in this movie? Am I the only one? I’ll be alone in the car driving along a road and all of a sudden I’ll start humming the main tune to the film. It’s really beautiful. I just find it soothing to listen too.
Of course I love the movie but find it quite unrealistic. I just don’t understand how a married women can have a three day affair and call it the love of her life. Just my opinion mind you.
I just recently watched this movie. It hit me like a freight train. Eastwood is a directing master-watched "the making of" and the film was shot in 36 days. The documentary piece mentions "texture" and how lighting, music, scenery, subtle sounds, the genius acting of Streep, and the chemistry between her and Eastwood all blend and are designed to hold your heart captive. I can watch this movie over and over but cannot because it is so moving (but I sneak peek and watch these clips sometimes).

This movie, the scenery, the acting, the music, made such an impression on me, I flew out to Madison County (from The UK), just to see The Bridges .... a few years ago now, when travel was more easy. Still my favourite soundtrack
I was only 1 year old when that movie came out , and i watched it last year for the first time . Let me tell you , that one is a piece of art . I bought the book too and i cried out my whole tears and i ve never cried over a book before . Just one of the best movie that has ever made
Sometimes the truest love comes unexpectedly & leaves with the biggest impression left on one's heart to never be forgotten....Dedicated to someone very special to me
The Bridges of Madison County movie will be observing its 25th anniversary soon, in 2020. The story took place 55 years ago. I've watched it many times, and I am always saddened by the way Robert and Francesca lost touch with one another after they parted. There were no cellphones or email back then. How different their story might be if it unfolded today, where it's possible to stay connected regardless of how far apart you are. After Francesca's husband died, she and Robert could have reunited. On the other hand, I don't think people today have deep emotional centers like they had 30, 40, 50, 60 years ago. Their devices keep them constantly connected but there's just not much there to connect with.
You really are very right in what you say. Today, love is no longer the same as before and people in the century of communications are all disconnected. A very beautiful story and splendidly told with wonderful scenes and first level actors. A movie to remember and for us to realize that life must be enjoyed
Rhenilde Boonen, me too. Also I dedicated this book and movie to one man who meant really so much in my life, who was my true love and still he does.....this happens once in a life time and I can't describe with any word the emotions....memories are precious but life goes on...he is forever and ever deep in my heart.....
It is so heart breaking but it so true that this kind of certainty comes but once in a life ....I missed mine. But I hold that certainty in my heart for ever.
Not only is the movie absolutely fantastic, and had me crying, but some of the comments here had me tearing up. Wonderful memories come into my mind. (Tearing up again.) ♥️
My favourite movie of ALL TIME. I have to watch it on my own because I cry buckets every time. It really touches my heart. I never tire of it. The theme music to the film is so beautiful and poignant. Clint Eastwood wrote that music. It’s just so lovely.
Unfortunately life did not hand me this deck of cards. My X left me and the children after what I thought were 18 good yrs. I didn’t see it coming at all. We were all in absolute shock so much so that it took five yrs of therapy to get back my bearings. Moreover , he stopped all communication with our children once they turned 18. But there is a happy ending. I am blessed with four glorious grandchildren for whom I thank God every day .
When I watched this movie I never thought in a million years that I would experience a love like this but at the age of 42 I met a man like this and I am Happy at last soooooo happy wow I feel like I just won the lottery
Each time I watch that movie, I wish she would open the car door! I was 52 years old when I decided to open ‘my door’ and live the rest of my life with a man I barely knew but felt in love immediately. This was 22 years ago…yes, I am 74 years old, we have been married since and there is not a moment that I don’t cherish life with this wonderful, still handsome man of 73 years old. If there is one thing in life I am proud of it’s having had the courage and the strength to do it.
Who else watched this movie first time in 2024 and is absolutely fascinated about it? I'm completely falling love in this movie, I would like so much to have this kind of explosion love in my life right now ❤
Can really feel the emotions of both the film and the song, this happened for me 7 years before the film with exactly the same ending I had never felt such love for anyone before or since, such a wonderful film.
This version of this is meanigful to me, when you love someone with all of your heart and it goes away, you stll have the love for them forever a moment in time is worth a thousand lifetimes
I can’t tell you how meny times I have watched this movie, it never fails to intrigue me, and as for the wonderful Neil diamonds singing, it’s sensational
I remember going to see this movie with my husband & crying so hard at the end because I knew I had to make a decision about our relationship & it was killing me...literally the hardest thing I ever had to do! I wish I could go back in time and change everything...I wonder what would've happened? I'll never know because we don't get to go back in time...the past is gone & all we have is today because tomorrow isn't promised.
I too wish, with a miracle, that I could go back in time. I lost the only man I was "In love" with. My heart still breaks to this day. I cried my eyes out when driving away from him. I still cry thinking of him and that was 40 years ago.
I love this movie. No matter how many times I see it I cry at the end. I want to add that I loved a man very deeply when I was in my early 20's. We parted ways and after almost 30 years apart we found each other again. Yes and the love is still there and runs deep.
One of the best movies ever. I've seen it more times than I can count. And I still cry during the "truck" scene. That turn...., then when Francesca open's the box of Robert's posessions...😭😭😭
Watching this video and listening to this song upset me so much as it is my life story narrated by the song. I loved this amazing girl as a young man and somehow I didn’t have the courage to tell her how I felt at the time. Since then she moved on and built herself a life and a family. Many years later we reconnected & I meet her in a foreign land and I then find out that she is just so likeminded, amazing and my everything. We shared so much love together thereafter.. I had to leave her to live her life and come back to where I live & how I wish I could have stayed back forever💔. I will love you always & forever. You are forever in my heart. To my MRCD ❤

I was watching my life in that movie. Every emotion, every longing, everything the did….was what happened to me. When her family came home from the fair, and she was crying silently in the corner….Omg I broke down. Twenty-six years ❤
It’s a Beautiful movie and it’s a great video, thank you. Sometimes true love comes late to our lives... there’s someone else in its place and we have to sacrifice ourselves because of the well of a family. It’s always better to feel love and keep the memories forever than never have felt true love at all.
[Spoiler Alert] I saw and liked this movie in 1995, at the movie theater. I had a strange synchronicity with it. Shortly before seeing it, I went through almost the same events with my mother's passing. It was even also throwing out the ashes next to a bridge, even with the bridge looking similar. It was my mother's happiest time at the cottage, in childhood, with fishing. (The bridge was the old Mackay Bridge at Sundays River, by Port Elizabeth, South Africa. I was staying in Johannesburg at the time.) When the movie came out, I thought that I must go see it. I had such a lump in my throat afterward. At the end of the movie, when it was said 'Go well my children', it seemed like it was my mother saying that, to me and my brother, only sibling. I then got the DVD, in memory of my mother.
Big fan of Clint from Serbia but this movie is in my top 3 worst movies ever and believe i watch alot of movies and alot of shit movies i rly cant understand how people can like this crap? This movie show how cheating on husband is okay?! wtf! Yes i rly feel sad bcs of two reasons her husband and my 2 hours wasting on this big juicy bullshit! i cant believe Mr.Clint made this but i forgive him bcs he is in my top 3 actors of all time !
This teaches me that sin will lure you in little by little. It’s for pleasure, for an instant. It doesn’t last. As hard as it was for Francesca she had to make a choice. It was painful but in my opinion she did the right thing. When you sin you hurt others not just yourself. Great movie!!!
I love to watch every frame of this movie again and again...Wish if I could be lucky enough to shake hands with these power house performers...Meryl and Clint !... Love you and respect you, legends !
So many people stay in a marriage because of guilt, comfort, finances, kids, etc. then suddenly, that once in a lifetime love comes along and well....they have to make that decision. Umm...yep, I'd be hopping in that truck with Clint and never look back!
I wanted Bridge on the River Kwai but grabbed this by accident at the video store. I was going to take it back when I saw the title, as a chick flick mistake; but watched it. It's the most emotional, thought-provoking movie I've ever seen.

Watch the original Wuthering Heights. 1930's sometime I think. Horrible. You wanna rip your hair out.

Hi Carol💐💐
I just recently watched this movie. It hit me like a freight train. Eastwood is a directing master-watched "the making of" and the film was shot in 36 days. Wuthering Heights starring Lawrence Oliviae and Merle Oberon. I'm still not over it.

The book is bad. The film was far better.
I remember renting this out on VHS (haha). Huge Eastwood fan! Francesca did the right thing, and chose her family and in those day traditions ruled.
I disagree, I wished with all my heart that she’d have had the courage to go. Not everyone is as lucky to find love like that.

Every time I watch this movie I weep. It’s a fabulous movie. I appreciate that🌹❤️
A beautiful love story about What Could Have Been... holds a special meaning for me
Thanks for being a fan!! I just wanna appreciate you in particular for being a fan and you should keep supporting me it brings me so much joy that I'm able to put smiles on your faces and hearts.🌸🤗❤️
Definitely one of my favorite movies. Meryl Streep and Clint Eastwood were magical. I haven't watched it for awhile because I cry everytime.
Crying is good for you and your eyes!
I love this movie so much ❤
One of my favorite love stories, so beautiful ❤☺
Ive watched it so many times
and i always cry....
Thank you!
*My thoughts are always with you Opsori....Stay blessed wherever you are to keep your parents happy.... I'm also happy with your memories.*
I was staying in Johannesburg at the time.)
When the movie came out, I thought that I must go see it. I had such a lump in my throat afterward. At the end of the movie, when it was said 'Go well my children', it seemed like it was my mother saying that, to me and my brother, only sibling. I then got the DVD, in memory of my mother.
My heart breaks just a little bit every time I see this movie.
When her hand is gripping the door I always say "Go, please go". She did the honorable thing for her family, but missed out on a chance of a lifetime.
John Griswold I pray for you and hope you are better.
I when I think about the story, in every form. Book, musical, film. It's just the best romantic story ever written.

This movie is one of my favorites! A beautiful love story. Two superb actors! 😊👍
One of the most beautiful love stories depicted on film.. the soundtrack is beautiful as well. A classic...
by reading comments here i realized one thing " we all long for true love but hardly get it in life"
True love comes in the wrong time .... this is the fact .... if it is not ..it will stay normal relation
Not really. I am amongst the privileged to experience it live for 27 years, 3 months and 3 days. And now it's more intense.
@@georgej7141 lucky you 😊
@@zindagi_uncut I acknowledge that 🙏
My favorite movie of all times. A true love between Francesca and Robert. Best actors: Meryl Streep and Clint Eastwood. Unforgettable love story.
I love this movie and I loved the book even more. Every sentence was like a beautiful song.
This is truly the greatest Love Story that’s ever been written and❤️❤️❤️I Love it, why is it not always on U-Tube,,,,,,
This teaches me that sin will lure you in little by little. It’s for pleasure, for an instant. It doesn’t last. As hard as it was for Francesca she had to make a choice. It was painful but in my opinion she did the right thing. When you sin you hurt others not just yourself. Great movie!!!

Love you and respect you, legends !
Such a beautiful film and love story. One of my all time favourites
That's what I call love, longing and an eternal bond. That's magic... 💖💖💖
The way they look each other, is amazing
I have visited the Bridges of Madison County twice. Beautiful place. Beautiful movie.
Neil Diamond singing ... perfect
One of my favorite movies ... I can watch this over & over . Everything about this movie is just so real .
So many people stay in a marriage because of guilt, comfort, finances, kids, etc. then suddenly, that once in a lifetime love comes along and well....they have to make that decision. Umm...yep, I'd be hopping in that truck with Clint and never look back!
I remember seeing this film many years ago. One to remember.
I read the book and loved it then I watched the movie and it brought it to life! Great performance from both of them! Great love story!
What a beautiful movie! One of my favarites...it's so sad...i cried when Clint Eastwood 's character drove off in the rain.
It’s sad when love is not enough and you have to do what is right for the others who will never understand
Best movie for two outstanding actors. Re-watching tonight
Amazing to live where this movie was filmed. Brings me great pride.

I remember you. Please don't forget. When the time is right. Maybe, just maybe.
I wanted Bridge on the River Kwai but grabbed this by accident at the video store. I was going to take it back when I saw the title, as a chick flick mistake; but watched it. It's the most emotional, thought-provoking movie I've ever seen.
WOW, Three precious names in this video....Neil Diamond, Clint Eastwood and Meryl Streep. One hell of a movie it was.
TO MUHAMMED: A WONDERFUL TRIBUTE HERE TO THE FILM.....BUT
JOHNNY HARTMAN? IS THAT VOICE FROM HEAVEN, SINGING IN FROM THE KITCHEN RADIO.....HE DIED TOO TOO YOUNG, ALAS. CLINT EASTWOOD WAS A FAN..... A LOVELY MOVIE AND YOU TUBE MSCENTRUMO4
Is...Not was.
Neil Diamond you write and sing with your heart and soul. So glad you have happiness in your own life. Thank you For this clip. ♥️🖼♐🥂🌻🌹
Beautiful film, simplistic and honest. Meryl Streep is an incredible intuitive actress and Clint Eastwood complimented her so well in this film.
omg I cry every time I watch this movie..and that's a lot! I don't even believe in true love but these 2 actors make it seem real. Thanks for this post. It's beautiful!
Just like life and death.....love can happen any moment...
so powerful and sensitive - such brilliant heart felt acting, directing, music ... loved the book too... wow
It is one among those movies I can't forget in my entire life.

Hi Jeannine 💐💐
This movie makes me sad and cry so many times . It was so romantic!!
I saw this movie 3 times, it was a beautiful LOVE STORY. I was happy and sad she made the right decision in the end. NEVER LEAVE A PERSON THAT TRUELY LOVES YOU FOR SOMEONE ELSE. IT WILL NEVER WORK OUT
