      After you knock take a big step back from the door or porch. Don't crowd the home owner. Then speak at the perfect conversation volume when they start to become more involved answering questions or moving onto the porch then approach them a little closer and explain why you're there.

      Before I get out of my car. I change my thinking to make it a game about how many home owner can I help today. This helps me lower my anxiety so I have a better chance of not forgetting what I need to say. I chew gum because that also helps with anxiety as well.

      It's a job same as any. You learn, you experience, you grow, and progress. Your time is valuable. Learn from others. Use names and remember names. Right now the best one for me is " introduction" I'm here because there have been homeowners in the area that insurance my drop because of the condition of their roof." Would you like an inspection and condition report incase this happens to you. Do not volunteer for "free" if it comes to that then fine. Do the inspection. Provide a report and try to sale whatever needs to be done.

    Good stuff, sent it to a green bean who's never knocked doors before. Something that works for me to create that first impression, is to say the word "help" 3 times in the first 10 seconds. "Hi how are you today? My name is Alex, i'm helping out here in your neighborhood, helping inspect your neighbor's roofs see who has damage after the storm, is anybody helping you out yet? Great! I'd love to help and inspect your roof for free, and see there are any concerns i can help show the next steps to get the ball rolling on a new roof". Maybe typed a couple extra helps here, but subconscious anchor to this guy's here to help. Also open body language, smiling upbeat palms up exposing wrists subconscious signal of nothing to hide. Thats breaking the ice, and listen to them, to interject light hearted interaction, joking etc.

I go out 5 days a week for five hours l and typically sign around 10-12 deals a week. You get to a point where you've heard it all ..and you know exactly how to deal with each personality that you encounter for the most part...like...wait a minute...I've dealt with someone like you before...and this worked but this didn't type of stuff..some people are naturally great at this ..I most definitely am not. • @businessexpansionstrategie4015

    Great tips ! Remember when selling commonly the first thing you are getting is rejection, however keep in mind the rejection is not with you personally, maybe the prospect was taken advantage of so they built up a rejection wall to use every time someone is trying to offer help somehow. You just gotta be persistent and communicate, the prospect will move up past that rejection zone. Thanks for the training tips.

    As a gentleman who has had success in door knocking, I still get some of the same fears mentioned in this video so to everybody out there, just think about the success that you’ve had before, and it necessarily doesn’t have to be success at doorknocking. Just think about the success you’ve had, in something that was challenging before in your life and it’ll motivate you when you walk up to each door.

    If you’re struggling with confidence at the door, especially after just dealing with a rude customer, go back to the truck and imagine yourself calling them out for being rude and harsh. Then just go on a tangent with yourself in your truck about what you bring to the table, how you’re trying to help them and why they’ve missed your value because they wanted to be rude. This exercise helped me to build some confidence in myself and reminded me of my value. And the next person at the door that was just over the top rude with me, i very tastefully called them out on it and said , “ma’am I know I’m not your granddaughter, but would you speak to her that way. I am someone’s grandson and I’m simply just trying to do good at my job, it is unnecessary to act this way, wether or not it makes me feel bad after I leave, you’ll probably feel bad after I leave, and the chances are that you’ll never get the opportunity to make it right with me.” Then I paused , I could almost see smoke coming out of her ears. I continued “ with all due respect maam, I think I’d rather not do business with you, Have a good day.” And I moved on to the next house, more confident in myself then I’d ever been.

      Adam has great advice. One tip I tell newbies is pretend you're just introducing yourself to a neighbor at every door. Get "sales" out of your mind. Trying to sell creates anxiety and pressure that the customer will pick up on in 2 seconds, and you'll get rejected. I really hope this helps. Keep watching Adam he's great.

    • @jimslaughter1560
      @jimslaughter1560 Рік тому +3

      To be more clear..when I say pretend you're meeting a neighbor is having a friendly mentality and asking genuine questions that develop rapport. Then learn to mix what Adam is teaching while in conversation. Once you develop that pitch, your confidence will skyrocket. Offer solutions. Be different than the next guy. Trust will get you sale every time.

    talk about how far to stand from the door, if you should knock or ring the bell? If you should bring someone with you to knock, or not.
    I think you dwell too much on the negative aspects but not everyone has a great fear like you talk about. The pitch itself is the biggest factor but you keep complimenting them, which sounds super fake, no matter how sincere you think you sound.
