Appreciate the comment my dude. If that's working, I'd be a moron telling you to change it. The reason I don't teach that particular approach is that I've found it can come across as rather forceful and pushy. As a result, it can come across as combative. The approach I used in this video is built upon the foundation of agreeing with them first. I find this helps disarm the homeowner, put them at ease, builds trust, and overall gets them far more receptive to hearing me out. Test each one and roll with what works for you!
You got it dude! I welcome different view points and healthy discussions here :) I appreciate your comment and contribution! One thing to add that I didn't include in my previous comment. Mentioning a neighbor or customer who also wasn't interested drives social proof - one of the most powerful forms of influence. Using this approach allows you to agree, assimilate their experience to a recent one you just had (presenting you as an authority), while mentioning a customer (social proof) and enabling you to keep the conversation going :)
Great video Adam, my name is Carlos and I’m very new in roofing sales, this is my first week, in fact I’m still training with your program in the office and alternating going out in the field with an experienced sales guy. I tried yesterday and the first door I knocked myself, I got yelled at by the lady homeowner who seemed to be busy working from home, she opened the door and immediately said “what do you want?” and when I started saying we were assessing damages from the recent hurricane in Florida. At that point she again said “what do you want, I’m busy!” And then shut the door on my face. Ha ha, that was my lucky first door knocked. What would you have done differently in that situation in such a short window of time? Thanks again. Your sales strategy training is great!
Adam! Can you do a video on homeowners that are hesitant to give you all or part of their ACV check? I haven’t encountered many besides one I have to talk to today. Thank you for all that you do!
LOl that midwest stubborn hoods - lower through upper class - it is saturated market but not many have insane work ethic. get the hell out there and go until you get that first approval and take over.
Do you think when they said I’m not interested and I said “ ohhh I understand mr homeowner that your not interested tbh idk if I can even help you yet”
Adam, I don’t get up at the roof I use the hail trace also do talk about the clients a done at the area. Beside going up at the roof, what alse can I used. I’m a woman
Great so what your saying is most HO's are dumb af and most of them need a new roof whether they like it or not. I'm glad you imitated their behavior patterns because those are the ones who think they are super smart. Great work Adam another awesome video as usual!
Doesn’t work. Wish it was that easy, but it isn’t. Most people won’t change their mind even when you show them actual damage. Sounds good, all you’re saying sounds great but on the field, in that particular moment, live so to speak, does not work. Ask me how I know
Hey can you help me understand the payment for the roof? I get they pay the deductible but then do they also pay the 10% or is that from the insurance? Any help would be appreciated I'm struggling and do not have the money to buy your course yet
Love turning them from "not interested" to "Wow, Im so glad you came by today!"
Agree!
What if there is no Peggy and it’s the first time first door 🤓
Grant Cardone said it best "I know you're not interested, i haven't given you enough information to be interested"

Grant is a 🤡 thats a car sales pitch or a cold call, not something you do on peoples door step
This is one of your best videos I have watched, Adam...and I love them all!!!
💪🙌 appreciate you dude. Thanks for the comment!
So good, Adam! Your content is always engaging, concise and helpful. Thank you!

Thank you for all that you do!
Is there anything you should say when you haven't inspected a roof in the neighborhood yet? I wouldnt want to bs anything either like you mentioned.
i have this same question
I've figured out that role playing helps a lot. Even if looking into the mirror.
Amen to that!

Well said!
Always great stuff, thank you Adam

3:56 come on man we know you made up the name Gerald 😂 but good stuff man
How would you adjust this if you are in a new neighborhood? I also agree that lying about “Peggy” is wrong and not a good way to start a conversation.
Good stuff! 👍🏽
A big problem I see is getting the inspection. But then they need to talk to their partner, who isn't home before signing.

So very true. Love it
How could this be adjusted if there isn’t a “Peggy” a couple of doors down and we’re in a new neighborhood?
How to deal with people scared of insurance?
This is difficult since im just mowing lawns.
You kind of look like that Smallville lex luthor guy in that thumbnail
Haters gonna hate... Most people dont know what's good for them. And are afraid of how little they know.
need more door knocking videos
What if there's no Peggy? What If it's the first house ?

What 10% are you asking about?
