- This is how to remove scuff and scratch marks from your car using WD40. The results are unbelievable and everyone should know this hack as this is unfortunately a very common issue lol. The damage to my car was caused by a concrete pillar/bollard which transferred the yellow paint onto my car and had light scratches. This was defiantly a LIFE HACK that you need to know so share it . Just woke up to a paint scratch on my Vespa due to wind damage. After a few choice words and calming down I found your channel. Gave the WD40 a go and the damaged was removed, infact it removed other scratchs, scuff marks on the seat and cleaned the whole bike to a shiney finish. Thankyou so much for your advice and posting the video. My tip is soak the marks in WD40 and alot of elbow grease with a load of clean cloths, not much fun in 30c heat tho.

Other trick, when I sell my used cars and you hazy headlights just spray wd-40 rub off with a towel and your headlights look like new. You can use it also on plastic trims to look better.
I’ve got cans in my garage like everyone else but never thought to use on something like this. Great video Bill.

Thank you! Do you know how to fix scuff marks on the inside of the car e.g if someone has moved the seat forward (from the backbeat) and were wearing a watch? now there is scuff marks on the plastic of the door! :(

I honestly think they should remove bollards, all we do is seem to hit them, an easy fix would be to have them built six feet high, that way we would stand a better chance, it’s a great hack, one to keep in mind

Will it affect original car painting when applying or if spray in normal areas ? Also after car wash again scratches will be displayed??
Should the residual WD40 be washed off after or can it be left on the paint?
technically it wasn't a scratch. it was paint that had rubbed off the poll to stick to your clear coat. I've thought WD 40 is just fish oil in a can. What ever it is it's done a good job.

If you combine this with one of the melamine sponges that are normally used to take marks off white walls, the WD40 works even better and appears to work slightly quicker.

That's Magic. l saw a car detailer use acetone for the same problem you had.
Worked very nicely without a hint of elbow grease. But he said not to use on freshly painted or old lacquer finishes.

Acetone is awesome, however I would be concerned about dulling the clear coat with it so I probably wouldn’t use it on a car👍👍👍

I have a skin wart that is changing. Ugly. I'm pretty sure I'm getting skin cancer. I put WD-40 on it covered by a band-aid. Someone told me that would work. Do you agree? - Thank you.
Freeze dry it and it will fall off
Often times, a certain type of wart will indeed, go away...but it's the lack of air from the bandaid that matters...WD40, has nothing to do with it...use duct tape!
I have never heard of that and wouldn’t recommend it. A doctor would be the best person to ask👍👍
