I don't know what liquid polymer is but here in the states many people use 100% Acetone just like what some fingernail polish removers are. You can also get it at most hardware stores, etc etc.

It's called wet sanding, and the first 6 minutes were fine. At that point, all you need to do is use a UV protectant spray or wipe to fill in the micro-cracks to make it smooth like glass. It also gives it long term protection from the sun and debris. Acetone/chloroform only works short term and leaves the plastic completely exposed. It will go bad even faster now that you sanded off the factory UV layer. They look about the same at the start, but would you rather it last about a year with acetone, or 3 to 5 years with proper protectant? Toothpaste, baking soda, and lemon was completely unnecessary. You already sanded off the bad layer. There is no need to waste time "cleaning" the fresh new layer. Just wash it off with water or glass cleaner to get rid of the debris from sanding, then apply the UV coating.

I don't understand why a crystal clear headlight is first faded with a lot of effort and then made crystal clear again with even more effort in order to destroy the UV protective layer and the headlight becomes really dull after 3 months

Exactly. This acetone method leaves the plastic completely exposed and it will just go bad again faster. It's better to just sand (skip the toothpaste and baking soda nonsense), and then spray on a proper UV coating. There are also wipes or film you can use. Should last about 3 to 5 years, depending on which you use.

Was habt ihr alle nur gegenen eine gute Polierpaste wie 3M oder Rupes?? Das geht 1000 mal besser, mit einem 1000fach besseren Ergebnis - da gehe ich doch nicht mit Zahnpasta oder sonst was ran! Davon abgesehen, hättest Du eine Zahnpasta für Raucher und weiße Zähne genommen, die hätte Schleifmittel schon enthalten. Aber nochmal, dafür nehme ich eine Rupes Paste und bin ein 15 Min. fertig mit polieren

without a finishing wax of 2 to 3 apps, this is a naked plastic, not proper! i made mine, lasting 4 years at least now. you sealed the old wax but did not rewax, why?

1er par rapport aux miens ces phares ne sont pas abîmé 2eme faut masquer, faut poncer PFFFUUIII avec un chiffon et le dentifrice tu frottes, tu rinces avec un chiffon humide et basta ! ça marche... si t'es outillié comme lui utilise les vrais produits alors (compound)

No es cierto. Ya se estaba oxidando en la parte de arriba. Tengo un lado que se ve así mismo y el otro lado se ve nuevo y eso hace que se vea peor.
Skip all this, just use "goof off" with microfiber towel keep wiping till you happy and buff up with rubbing compound, job done

Passa uma lixa a seco 600 e 800 para tirar o verniz, depois vc usa as dagua igual o cara aí.
