Well, it’s finally up. Thank you guys so much for supporting this series! Sorry it took a while but as you can probably tell, it was much more work than the others. What should we do next?
I remember theorizing one of the reasons Modi freaked out when Magni died is because they're supposed to survive Ragnarock, and in killing Magni Kratos threw the whole prophecy out of line.
It also makes sense with how odin hordes resources for ragnarok, when investigating something unknown he sends Baldur who is practically a risk free pawn and later Magni and Modi(baldur asks them i know but probably for the same reason)who are prophetically risk free. Losing both of them is also why he is terrified of Kratos.

@@echo.romeo. Also in 2018 GoW was mentioned that from the very beginning in the context of the conversations between Arteus nad Kratos. Boy was warded by his mother and Kratos spent most of his years away from home in the nearby forests working and hunting. That's why in the introductory mission during the deer hunt (Kratos was checking if the boy was ready for the journey) he didn't even know if his mother had taught the boy to track, hunt and use a bow. Which suggests he didn't contribute to any upbringing and practically didnt know each other - until the events of the game. So... From Kratos perspective it wasnt a Spartan education but rather 'Im goin to the gas station to get milk and cigs' upbringing :P
@@Daudrr "Working and Hunting" you said yourself, yes he was absent, and emotionally cold, I agree with that, but he provided while still battling his own demons
Honestly, the Magni and Modi thing IS accurate in this game. Modi absolutely flips out as soon as Magni dies and asks "How did you ...?" Both were supposed to survive Ragnarök and they know it, yet Kratos, who, let me remind you, slew the three Fates of Greek Mythology, ignored their fate and axed Magni anyway.
@@rpggamer323 I mean I guess but in Ragnarok we learn that the prophecy of Ragnarok from groa (how it actually happens in Norse mythology) was always a lie so I suppose it's not just because of Kratos entering the Norse world
@@skibot9974 Oh, definitely not! Well, maybe back in Greece. But nowaydays he's just a very powerful, very large monster with his own agenda. Kinda like the actual Thor (I don't yet know the second game, want to play it myself)
To be fair about the Valkyrie gunnr, Kratos was able to defeat the sisters of fate who were very against him winning, so I don't think Kratos really cares about those who decide things for him
Also, if she really can just decides who wins and losses, the gods would've slam dunked Ragnarok and steamrolled all oppositions. So clearly the whole "she decides the outcome of battles" thing is just an exaggeration.

1:29:28 FUN FACT, the giants actually refer to Kratos as Fárbauti on the prophecy wall in jotunheim. While Kratos still isnt a giant, and instead a god, the game made sure that Loki's father was still named Fárbauti, even if it was only among the giants.
@@xenomorphlad9895theyre by no means equivalences to Titans. Giants are big but theyre are extremely smaller amd less powerful compared to Titans. literally Atlas is still holding "The world" even after GoW Ragnarök. which means thousands of years. but i know what you mean back there. his big, so hes reffered as a giant
@ashkanten I'm more or less referring to their narrative role in the story. What with them both being depicted as large enemies of the gods who's Rivalry dates back to some major conflict or battle in the past. Of course, I don't mean it literally (Though I should have specified mb)
Just don't make us wait three years for Ragnarok as a cheeky reference to Fimbulvinter. It was bad enough that Santa Monica made us wait four years for that Thor fade.
I interpret the blood mead giving you a larger rage meter not as Kratos getting angrier but as him being able to control his rage more effectively for longer times without losing himself to it A sign of growing wisdom
I always thought the “I was born a god” moment was Kratos still not being entirely truthful. By claiming he was born a god rather than *becoming* a god it eliminates the difficult question of HOW he became a god, he’s actively choosing to tell another lie that pacifies the entire line of questioning. It seems even emphasized with Kratos saying “The truth? The truth . . . “ as if he really considered opening up fully right there, before ultimately backing down and only being partially honest. It also makes the later “I am from a land called Sparta” scene more impactful because he’s finally actually telling the truth, and while in that scene he doesn’t specifically mention obtaining his godhood after killing Ares it can be surmised that after this moment he did finally reveal the full truth to his son.
Or in God of War demigods are still considered as gods but the upper echelon of Greek gods just consider them inferior and would rather refer to them by their mortal side instead of their god side. He definitely becomes stronger after officially becoming the god of war but it's not like he was doing normal guy things before that. Even in God of War Ascension Kratos is fighting Aegeon who was strong enough to fight Titans. In Chains of Olympus he even fights Atlas briefly and is the one who chains him to hold the heavens and kills Persephone who is another god. So he's had godly powers long before opening Pandora's Box.
Kratos wasn't aware he was born a demi God, he fully believed he was mortal and only started catching onto it after he made the deal with Ares. If I remember correctly, correct me if I'm wrong, Athena told him Zues was his father and that Pandoras box would aid him in killing Zues. Kratos also didn't become full God until he killed Ares and took his place. Zues was the one that took that power away from him when he realized Kratos was power hungry and out of control, tricking him into giving up his power into the Blade of Olympus. From then and to this point Kratos is still a demi God just less mortal until the end of Ragnorok dlc when he again takes Tyrs spot as the God of War
Didn't Ares make Kratos a demigod when he gave him The blades of chaos, Gaia narrated that Ares gave him "ultimate Power, also on ghost of Sparta at The end athena says "you're ready to Be a god" and does something to Kratos, i assume she granted Kratos his godhood.
@tuukkatolonen2845 no since Zues fathered him, he was born Demi, Ares just gave him more power but not god-hood. Even Kratos mother didn't know she had been bedded by zues
57:29 iirc, the Blades of Chaos, Blades of Athena and Blades of Exile were all different weapons. Ares removes the Blades of Chaos at the end of GoW 1 and Athena replaces them with the Blades of Athena. Then, at the beginning of GoW 3, the Blades of Athena are dulled by the river Styx and Athena replaces them again with the Blades of Exile. In the novelisation of GoW 2018 (nvm, I've been informed it was in a GoW comic, not the novellisation) it's revealed that, after the Greek pantheon died, Kratos was given 2 curses. He's unable to take his own life and the original Blades of Chaos keep following him around, appearing beside him whenever he tries to get rid of them. I think his eventual decision to keep them, even if he kept them hidden under his home, satisfied the magic and made them stop following him, presumably as long as he always intended to eventually return to the house where he kept them. If he ever decided not to go home, they'd probably have started following him again.
There's actually a comic about it which is after Kratos killed the greek pantheon where the Blades of Chaos just kept on following him like he would throw them away and travel for many days with no sleep yet the moment he closes his eyes, The blades appeared. My theory is that Ares bounded the blades to him hence why they kept on following him

4:03 Afaik, Atreus' line about expecting a troll under the bridge is actually a reference to the fact a troll showed up there in an E3/early gameplay show but not in the full release, not the billy-goat story.

I think Mimir being Puck might have just been a way to emphasize multiple mythologies coexisting in this world, plus it gives him and Kratos some common ground being foreign deities.
And speaking of Tyr traveling to other cultures during the boss fights against him in GoW: Ragnarok: Valhalla Tyr uses 3 weapons a Kopesh a light curved sword use in Egypt, a Katana the iconic Japanese sword associated with the Samurai, and finally a Macuahuitl the iconic wooden greatsword with razor sharp shards of obsidian embedded in it to increase it's damage-dealing capability used by the Aztecs. Fans think these are hints that the next 3 main locations for the next set of God of War games will be Egypt, Japan, and Mesoamerica.
About Kratos being born a god. He likely just said it like that because it’s a quicker explanation, since Atreus is Norse, he wouldn’t have heard of ascending to godhood, since all gods in Norse mythology were born as gods, the only exception is Bragi, but that depends on the version. Or it’s just because of Kratos being old by this point that he forgot some things
2:31 minor nitpick, I’m pretty sure the wolves turned into bits was because when Kratos killed them he froze them with his leviathan axe and shattered them
@@TheMythologyGuy1Something just occurred to me. When Mimir says Fafnir may have stolen a trinket from a Vanir goddess, it sounds like a reference to the time Loki stole Brisingamen from Freya. Do you think that could be the case?

He had a fear-helm, of which all living creatures were terrified.” Pg270 direct quote from Fafnir: “The fear-helm is wore | to afright mankind, while guarding my gold i lay;” 1:06:30 Thor’s mom Is actually dead according to Thor himself Same translation of the Poetic Edda pg100 from Thor himself: “Now hast thou said | what to each must seem The Mightiest grief, | that my mother is dead.” Sorry for being the “um ackshually” guy just had to point these out love your videos cant wait for the video on God of War Ragnarok
56:54 I ACTUALLY KNOW THE ANSWER TO THIS ONE! So. The blades of chaos and the blades of athena are separate blade sets. The blades of athena Did become the blades of exile like you said. But the blades of chaos were given back to kratos after god of war one since he now had inherited all of ares’ weapons as the god of war but given the history, he didnt want to use them. Post god of war 3 the blades of chaos found him again and now seem magically cursed to stay with him. He is unable to get rid of them. He tried. The book mentioning how he ended up in Midgard says he cast them into the sea. The sea in response destroyed his boat and spit them back out. He washed up on shore with them next to him. So he decided to bury them under his house. Near him but unused.
Magic items in this universe degrade over time without regular upgrading from a magical blacksmith, or regular enchanting, etc. Explaining why the Blades reverted to their base form over the literal millennium between GOW 3 & 4. This is used to explain why Kratos starts out at LVL 1 again at the start of Ragnarök, since he was max level at the end of GOW 4.

So thank you so much for fueling the passion of myths and legends to thousands of peoples. still can’t believe the video came out, congratulations on your hard work.
0:25 I think that was the whole point, to create a new weapon that was still in the style of Norse mythology for the original characters of the series to use.
I’m pretty sure he explicitly said at the start that inaccurate does not mean bad, he’s pointing it out for the videos sake not because he hates it, he was pretty clear on that, I have no doubt he knows that’s the point lol
0:47 to be fair, if they have been making weapons for a long time, its not unreasonable to think they may have made weapons that weren't important enough to be mentioned in,the myths.
Apparently the text on the prophecy wall at the end of this game also refers to Kratos as “Farbauti”, though it’s much more out-of-the-way of a reference compared to a line of dialogue in a cutscene.
“I know this is going to shock people, but the Norse did not have explosive pots of fire laying around.” Me: “that was the Greeks” Edit: thanks so much for all the likes comrades Edit: just woke up to 200 likes, thx Edit: 300!
4:05 AFAIK, that wasn't really a reference to stories about trolls under bridges, it was a reference to the beta version of the game, where you were supposed to fight a troll at that part of the game but was later scrapped.
1:00:41 Although the criticism is absolutely valid as this is not the only occasion this happens lmao. I believe what is going on here is that Kratos is just oversimplifing it. He doesn't want to tell Atreus that he killed a god to become one, so he just says he was born one to make it easier for Atreus to understand. Kratos is not ready to tell Atreus the entire story yet, so he just kinda makes something up and rolls with it, so that he can tell Atreus he's a god, but leave out the details. But yeah, the "so are you" part doesnt make sense until the last part of the game.
Well, that's not a correct assessment at all. Atreus isn't an unintelligent child, and he doesn't need things simplified. The reason Kratos doesn't tell Atreus the truth is because Kratos wants to have the appearance of a benevolent god. He doesn't want his son to know how much of a monster he became.
@@echo.romeo. yeah but if kratos said i killed a god before to become one treus would have questions about why did he kill him did he kill others too? blah blah and do you think kratos would just casualy say oh hey boy i kille my own wife and daughter then ralised it was the godsfault so i got my rvenge and killed him and tried world domination then got betrayed and killed a whole pantheon and made hell on earth ha ha ehh.... we must focus edit: my keyboard has problems so sometimes letters dont show up

Brok doesn't keep the ring, he gives it to Atreus and you can use it as an enchantment. It has a 0 in the Luck stat but it does grant you health if you kill enemies with Runic attacks. I think they mention it got worn down by Fimbulwinter so the soul is either destroyed or it went to Alfheim.
Fair. But I'm still gonna go off the headCanon that the ring caused brok so much bad luck in that small amount of time that he died. And for Boy... I guess the ring's magic took pity on Boy because mom died like 5 hours ago
@@genesismultiverse4896 the real kicker is that everyone who worked on the game knew Brok was going to die before they even started working on the script. It was part of Cory Barlog's "three things that need to happen" Atreus has to leave. Ragnarök is unavoidable. Brok has to die.

The blood of kvasir horns are inexplicably funny to me. I just imagine Kratos hating poetry and when he drinks this thing he starts to think all poetically, to see metaphors beautifully shaping the world around him... And he fucking _hates_ it so he gets angrier and angrier the more he drinks!
10:06 Clearly, Poetry makes Kratos mad. 16:31 The Curse is game 2. Kratos loses his friend, then Brok, y'know. 1:25:06 In all fairness we don't know where Loki's crafted mistletoe dart hit in the myths, or whatever it was coated with. So maybe he used some of his boy's spit as a lethal injection in the myths.
57:16 It’s because after Kratos gets the Blades of Athena the OG Blades of Chaos were still the Blades just a different style of the OG Blades of Chaos. Same goes for the Blades of Exile in God of War III. When Athena made the Blades of Athena turn into the Blades of Exile she just make the OG Blades of Chaos a different style then when Kratos left Greece Athena’s Magic Style ability left the Blades and they took a new form to the Norse lands. Also when Kratos destroyed Greece his magic abilities were all gone. We know this from GOWR. And Fun fact the Norse Blades of Chaos are different in 2018 and Ragnarok because of Fimblewinter

First, My credentials: A degree in the study of religion 1: The Idunn apples don't restore your youth, if they did Odin would be a young man - they just grant immortality/halt your aging 2: I don't think the horns of blood mead are supposed to be Kvasir's mead. I think they're most likely just a reference to the whole idea of berserkers drinking spiked mead before going into a rage 3: Dwarves turning to stone is only a thing in that one story - wouldn't consider it generally applicable 4: Odin needed to hang himself from the tree to *understand* the runes, not to attain them. He also needed the water from Mimir's well to gain more knowledge. It's possible that Atreus was just taught by someone who understood the runes (His mom who made the protective stave and clearly knew magic), or that he is simply naturally smarter than Odin. 5: We have no textual evidence/reference to human sacrifice in the pre-christian north, we only have archaeological evidence that lines up with human sacrifice. Whether or not the vikings engaged in human sacrifice is actually still up for debate in academic/scientific circles 6: Dwarves made a thread out of sounds and concepts, them making arrows out of mistletoe is entirely reasonable 7: A more interesting issue with the highest peak being in jotunheim is that jotunheim isn't a singular place. In old norse it is always pluralised as in meaning "Realms of the Giants" not Realm singular. The idea being that You have Asgard in the centre, midgard around it, the sea around that, and then on the other side of the sea you have an unknown number of giant realms. Jormungandr both keeping the humans in and the giants out 8: It's a relatively common theme in these games that the stories we know are the aesir propaganda versions. Like how Hrungnir's shrine tells one story, but Mimir who was there tells another 9: Skadi was married to Odin according to some stories after hacing split from Njord 10: Again, if you can make a thread out of concepts then it would stand to reason that you could keep a piece of a hamingja's essence 11: The name "hrimthur" just comes from the term "hrimthursar" which are just general frost/ice themed jotun-like creatures 12: Kratos is refered to as "Fárbauti" among the giants in the game, so that part still tracks, but it's unclear in the myths if Loki's mother, whose name means "Leaf island", is a jotnar or a literal island No hate tho, you clearly know a ton about mythology, and have done a bunch of research - these are just a few points I noticed that perhaps weren't as inaccurate as you think
@@TheMythologyGuy1 I think an extra point in the favour of the horns not being Kvasir's mead is that in Ragnarok we collect his poems, so they clearly know who and what Kvasir is, and his horns sending you into a rage contradicts his whole poet vibe
Loved this video, TMG! This game is a masterpiece and it was so fun seeing you make this mythological inaccuracies video. Would love to see you do Ragnarök too! One point I'll add to the discussion at 11:10 though! I know GOW Ragnarök does reveal that the boar is Hilvisvini in the next game, but I remember when 2018 first came out, I had always thought this boar was meant to be Gullinbursti (and that Freya was guarding it for Freyr since she was unsure of his whereabouts in Vanaheim at the time). It would make a lot more sense, since the boar does have the golden streaks along him and Gullinbursti, like this boar, is said to be the only one of its kind too. It makes me wonder if Hildisvini was a retcon to this idea that threw everything into disarray as you note. All purely conjecture, of course, but just a thought I had.
57:39 The Blades of Chaos were ripped off his arms in GoW 1 by Ares, Athena gives him the Blades of Athena(symbolically binding him again) and them later transforms them into the Blades of Exile, they are destroyed in his battle with Fear Zeus alongside many of his weapons. After he releases her hope to Greece she curses him, his not able to kill himself by any means and she brings back the original Blades of Chaos and ties them to him, he tried to throw them away many times but they always teleport back close to him.

So... Honestly, the Magni and Modi thing IS accurate in this game.
Modi absolutely flips out as soon as Magni dies and asks "How did you ...?"
Both were supposed to survive Ragnarök and they know it, yet Kratos, who, let me remind you, slew the three Fates of Greek Mythology, ignored their fate and axed Magni anyway.

Kratos: Nuh-uh.

You could technically say that Kratos at one point WAS a giant at one point in his life, the final fight with Ares.

Huh cool thought, have my like

He was also born a demigod so he was kinda tripping
Thank you for explaining that, I was always confused with whether the Blades of Chaos were turned into the other blades or not.
Dont you mean 3 curses? I mean, the color of his skin is a curse itself, he was condemned to carry the ashes of his old family in his skin
And the Oracle's curse of his family's ashes still stains his skin.
@@ecgameplayer thats what i said
There's actually a comic about it which is after Kratos killed the greek pantheon where the Blades of Chaos just kept on following him like he would throw them away and travel for many days with no sleep yet the moment he closes his eyes, The blades appeared. I think Mimir being Puck might have just been a way to emphasize multiple mythologies coexisting in this world, plus it gives him and Kratos some common ground being foreign deities.
Actuall when they met the Norns in the next game, one of them tells him "There is actually no destiny Puck"
Or it’s just because of Kratos being old by this point that he forgot some things

then he got boosted by the box
then he was a full god because he was god of war

Amazing video. I love how you correct the inaccuracies without tearing down the game itself. Extremely well done!

@@echo.romeo. yeah but if kratos said i killed a god before to become one treus would have questions about why did he kill him did he kill others too? blah blah and do you think kratos would just casualy say oh hey boy i kille my own wife and daughter then ralised it was the godsfault so i got my rvenge and killed him and tried world domination then got betrayed and killed a whole pantheon and made hell on earth ha ha ehh.... we must focus

MYTHOLOGY GUY, YOUR SUBSCRIBER HAS RETURNED, I'VE COME TO REQUEST THE INNACCURACIES OF GOD OF WAR: RAGNAROK!!!
1:09:14 I think they might be referencing Sekhmet with the eye of ra, since she is sometimes referred to as a goddess of war, and she was created from Ra’s right eye.
Could be
@@TheMythologyGuy1 thanks for replying
@TheMythologyGuy1 I know they don't literally mean war in their languages, but they could be in reference to a multi pantheon war that may occur in future games if the Egyptian rumors for the next game are true.
@@TheDragothian yeah, like how the Tomoe symbol represents the Japanese god of war (Hachiman) but not war itself.
HAHA YES! I've been waiting for this one. Watching the Mythical Inaccuracy videos you make makes me really interested in greek/norse myths. Keep it up!
1:00:37 I don't think you can even count the amount of times I've played and replayed this game, and I swear I never noticed Kratos said that. He was BORN a god?!
Kratos: The man of the ever-changing backstory
@@TheMythologyGuy1 See? He's mythically accurate, because his story has multiple versions. Gotcha!
You can blame the Greek God's for that. They knew damn well he was a God. However the Hell that works. All the things they did was probably just to make him believe he was mortal. Seems like being Stabbed by Zeus ( Wink ) makes a God. @@TheMythologyGuy1
zeus is his father so kratos is a half god
@@MaoriGamerDood But he wasn't born a god though, that's the thing. It's a matter of fact that he was born a demigod and only became a god after k i lling Ares. This "retcon" means nothing and changes nothing because unless they change previously established lore the fact remains that Kratos was born a demigod. It's simply wrong
I love atreus and and kratos' back and forth banter, like kratos saying the passages seeming too small for giants and atreus laughs
Are we not gonna talk about the bird exploding at 40:30
RiP random birb no.1341
"Dudes probably in Valhalla wondering why his stuff just disappeared."
Okay that made me chuckle a bit. 😂
Kratos:"oh shit here we go again"😂😂😂
Thanks to this channel i fell in love with Greek mythology and now with Scandinavian.....such underrated channel
*1:00:29* The near mental breakdown about Kratos' godhood legitimacy is so hilarious. I love it!
😂😂😂😂😂
It's also wrong.

Mythology Guy: "So The Nitpicking shall continue!"
Mimir: "Go on with ya nitpicking then, I'll nitpick back-"
Kratos: "Head, you are yelling for what reason?"
Mimir: "Just arguing with some upcoming scholar who's yapping about my stories being false! I have a reputation to defend!"
Kratos: actually head how can you eat or drink? Or how is it being awake while me and boy sleep?
This series has told me about mythology more than any peice of media, thank you❤
3:54 I mean, to be fair, he didn't eat, he just took it. Gotcha!
Finally I can’t possibly imagine this was a fast process I’m watching every second in appreciation of the work you used.
The way you use sarcasm is so perfect. "I know this is going to be surprising, but the norse didn't have explosive barrels of fire lying around."
ok I couldn't help but burst into laughter when I heard ya mention the part with Loki and the goat XD
I honestly didn't expect this inaccuracies video to come out this quick so this was a surprise thank you for the good video
9:14 A reason IS given in this game as well. In Niflheim there's an interaction between Atreus and Sindri where Atreus asks why Brok is blue and Sindri tells him.
Yeah but that’s later revealed to be a lie
@@TheMythologyGuy1 Was that in Ragnarok? I didn't know that.
@@ZenomniusOmnipotence Yes it’s revealed that he’s actually blue because he died and Sindri rebuilt his soul but didn’t get all the pieces
@@TheMythologyGuy1 Oh, sorry, I haven't played Ragnarok and only have seen clips of it, didn't know that.
@@TheMythologyGuy1Is it though? I can't remember it being outright stated that this is the reason Brok is blue. I mean Argyria is a real thing and the God of War Artbook also says it's because of his exposure to metals so maybe that's just the reason?
Me: Everything?
The Mythology Guy: Everything.
Not everything. There are plenty of things it gets right.
@@legoking6165 no i meant will mythology correct every single thing in the game ?
First, My credentials: A degree in the study of religion
1: The Idunn apples don't restore your youth, if they did Odin would be a young man - they just grant immortality/halt your aging
2: I don't think the horns of blood mead are supposed to be Kvasir's mead. I think they're most likely just a reference to the whole idea of berserkers drinking spiked mead before going into a rage
3: Dwarves turning to stone is only a thing in that one story - wouldn't consider it generally applicable
4: Odin needed to hang himself from the tree to *understand* the runes, not to attain them.
Whether or not the vikings engaged in human sacrifice is actually still up for debate in academic/scientific circles
6: Dwarves made a thread out of sounds and concepts, them making arrows out of mistletoe is entirely reasonable
7: A more interesting issue with the highest peak being in jotunheim is that jotunheim isn't a singular place. In old norse it is always pluralised as in meaning "Realms of the Giants" not Realm singular. The idea being that You have Asgard in the centre, midgard around it, the sea around that, and then on the other side of the sea you have an unknown number of giant realms. Jormungandr both keeping the humans in and the giants out
8: It's a relatively common theme in these games that the stories we know are the aesir propaganda versions. Like how Hrungnir's shrine tells one story, but Mimir who was there tells another
9: Skadi was married to Odin according to some stories after hacing split from Njord
10: Again, if you can make a thread out of concepts then it would stand to reason that you could keep a piece of a hamingja's essence
11: The name "hrimthur" just comes from the term "hrimthursar" which are just general frost/ice themed jotun-like creatures
12: Kratos is refered to as "Fárbauti" among the giants in the game, so that part still tracks, but it's unclear in the myths if Loki's mother, whose name means "Leaf island", is a jotnar or a literal island
No hate tho, you clearly know a ton about mythology, and have done a bunch of research - these are just a few points I noticed that perhaps weren't as inaccurate as you think
All pretty solid points. My favorite being the mead one. I might mention that one in the Ragnarok video. Thanks for contributing
@@TheMythologyGuy1 I think an extra point in the favour of the horns not being Kvasir's mead is that in Ragnarok we collect his poems, so they clearly know who and what Kvasir is, and his horns sending you into a rage contradicts his whole poet vibe
I think the game explains Otr being a dragon because he was cursed, he’s still a dwarf in the game just turned dragon
Quick question: If you end up making the Ragnarök video, will that include Valhalla, or will Valhalla be a separate video? (Love your content dude)
I’m thinking I’ll do Valhalla separately since it’s such a different experience and doing it that way would allow me to finish Ragnarok faster
dude finally uploaded the video we have been waiting for so long
Loved this video, TMG!
There’s actually a missable conversation in the 2018 game where Freya tells Atreus the boar is named Hildisvini
@@TheMythologyGuy1 damn, well there goes that theory then! Lol 😂 cheers for the reply, man!

The Blades of Chaos were ripped off his arms in GoW 1 by Ares, Athena gives him the Blades of Athena(symbolically binding him again) and them later transforms them into the Blades of Exile, they are destroyed in his battle with Fear Zeus alongside many of his weapons.
After he releases her hope to Greece she curses him, his not able to kill himself by any means and she brings back the original Blades of Chaos and ties them to him, he tried to throw them away many times but they always teleport back close to him.
First video of yours I’ve seen. I love it! Please do the next game!
Thank you! I will
@@TheMythologyGuy1WHEN??
Yessssss been waiting so long, thank your for all your hard work.
Awesome, I love these vids bc there is so much to learn about mythology in them. Also I laughed so hard at the image of a confused warrior in vallhalla who had just see his stuff vanishing XD
Im playing immortal Fenyx Rising at the moment (I avoided it bc I heared bad stuff about it, another lesson into "make your own opinion" learned) and im suprised by the amount of mythological stories referenced in it, whih I learned from your channel (like the time ares spend in a jar or hermes being also the god of thieves), but I honestly wonder how accurate it is, what I saw yet seemed pretty accurate (I also love how prometheus regulary calls out Zeus' BS).
This comment is my sacrifice to the allmighty algorithim and after my next sacrifice of a thumbs up I will continue to also sacrifce my watchtime in hopes it will grand you good fortune mr Mythology Guy
I’ve played that game too and it’s honestly one of the most well-researched games out there. I do want to do a video on it at some point
