Sad truth is illegal to carry any blade for protection in Canada . If you are asked why you carry a knife and you say for protection it will be confiscated.
Cory is correct. You can't usually legally carry anything for self defense against people, anywhere in Canada. It's in the criminal code, becomes a weapon by definition. It's got to be carried for a lawful purpose as a tool, for defense against animals, to play baseball with etc, then if the need arises it can legally be used as a weapon of opportunity. Even pepperspray can only be sold for defense against dogs and bears. There's some exceptions, security guards, police, supposedly there's a law on the books for someone to get a permit in exceptional cases for personal protection, not sure if any issued. And of course Trudeau's bodyguards carry whatever guns they want 🙄
I always say it's not illegal to carry whatever type of "can opener" you want....just incase you get lost and find canned food right 😉 if you're ever asked why you used it as in self defense if it's a can opener ask the cop or judge if they've ever used a butter knife for a screw driver or a crescent wrench as a hammer....
I've had a P365 X Macro for the last 4 months. I absolutely love it. Tremendous gun, perfect for everyday carry. The ONLY complaint I have is that the play on the front of the trigger is rather long, but because the weapon doesn't have a manual safety, I don't mind it. All you need now is a Holosun 507k GR and an Icarus Precision all-aluminum grip! Tremendous gift, Sean.

As a fur trapper up north. I can attest to the fact most of us settle for .22 long rifles that break down into a backpack now. It's not worth the hassle to get and maintain the authorization and hasn't been for about 15-20 years. 😢. Sad because my grandfather has been cornered in the snow with a backpack full of meat and nothing but his 9 shooter .22 revolver. It saved his life that day. He had to jump from WI fall to windfall through 4 ft of snow in the bush, being cjased by the pack, meat on his back for bait, a brush axe, and on snowshoes. I guarantee you the snowshoes helped with snow but sucked on the fallen trees. And also that the axe was more burden than protection at the time. A rifle would never have been a nimble enough weapon that day. These days we have to have the permits for it just to own the revolver at all still. It can not be passed on and will be melted down by the govt when he dies. He could get the permits but they aren't cheap and he's retired. And end of the day he doesn't track through the buch for meals with a backpack full of meat in his 80s but he still does trap. The gun would have to be fully authorized Firstly for use. Secondly it would have to be trigger locked and in a metal case, which is also locked until we reached the trap line where our harvesting rights are. At that point he is the only person allowed to lay a finger on it or any ammo for it whatsoever. And must be very specifically attended to also. You can't just put it on your hip and open carry. It has to stay in the box until use, though can be unlocked to make thus easier. At that point the time opening a box would be better used loading a rifle.....

No concealed or open-carry sidearms may be carried without a "ATC" Authorization to Carry and those are like hens teeth. Not happening.
Why did this episode get taken down? If you spill the beans on something classified?
When everyone asks if he got to keep that pistol the correct answer is "I shall not confirm or deny".
I sure wont fight for a country that wont let me defend myself. Nashville needs Dallas.
Man what an awesome gun. I Carry the Sig P365. But boy would I love to have the Macro. It will be my next upgrade.

Amazing podcasts. I just stumbled onto about a month ago and have been listening non stop. Whats the info on the coin with the saw/knife?
That's my EDC and I couldn't love a pistol more. Lol. That just made my day.
Great video, I’ve read their new laws sadly he ain’t taking the Sig home lol

It is patently absurd tier one unit is not allowed to carry a weapon.
Thanks Shawn
Amazing video! I'm a Glock guy and you will probably never catch me without my G43 but that Sig is definitely calling my name!
Shawn, I am trying to find the full episode on youtube but have been unsuccessful so far. I started watching it but didn't get to finish and now when I search, the full episode is no where to be found. Has it been taken down?
