My biggest aha moment was learning that too much starch is not good. I have always been of the mindset that starch's were good as long as they were natural foods (Potatoes) Also whole gran breads, pastas and brown rice. I'm a little sad to hear that they are not great for me. I have been eating a lot of those starchy foods.

Really enjoy your videos. My biggest ahem moment here was learning I need to stop using artificial sweeteners. Yes, I stopped consuming soda but I thought items like SPARKLING ICE were good for me until I googled the ingredients and learned you have an artificial sweetener for the taste! I've been sucking these down like water! So now, I'm moving to just water and products like SYFO. I also have Stevia, if I need it but honestly have only used about 6 teaspoons in the last 4 months!

Somethings are too sour or bitter without "sweet". Artificial sugars help with this. I have cut my Splenda in half; 1 instead of 2 in my coffee and a max 3 cups a day instead of 6. Don't know how to go cold turkey with no sugar. Flavoring water with fruit slices is teasing; and I was a little lost in the video with a gram of this and a gram of that. May do a chart to see how it all relates.

I'm confused about fructose. I don't eat anything unatural, no soda and no high-fructose for over 25 years. But, I eat a lot of fruit...in a day I can eat 3 pruns, a cup of raspberries, a slice of coconut, and a banana (or apple or some other piece of fruit that's in season). I was under the impression that the fiber in fruit is protective somehow against the fructose. How much fruit is too much?

Monk Fruit, Stevia, and Erythritol are my 3 go-tos because they don't raise insulin, compared with sucralose, maltitol, and saccharin. I don't like aspartame due to other side effects. I've been on a zero carb carnivore diet/way of life for 9 months. I've had zero fibre and my guts feel so much better for it. It actually feels lIke it's healed from fiber abuse. I'm not a doctor but I've done my research and I wouldn't recommend it.
That's really interesting! I've heard of some people who really like the carnivore diet. It would not be a sustainable lifestyle for me. If you don't mind sharing, do you have any favorite resources for the carnivore diet in case anyone wants to look into it further?

There is no requirement for *any* kind of carbohydrate in the human diet. And that includes fiber, no matter *what* you have been told.
