Great memories !...excellent review .....thank you. I was a driver of the Castle's hearse...& taxis ...but only for cleaning and filling up, and transporting actors around. Days of Gordon' s Wedding 😃.
Another outstanding episode 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏, watching of an evening . . . . . And thy fish n chip bus has made one . . . . . . . awful peckish 😜😜😜😜, cheers liegh🍻🍻🍻, and nice to know a touch of summer wine history is here in new🥝🥝🥝zealand, 🍺🍺🍺 cheers all summer winos 🥳🥳🥳
i always wondered what Marina's tiny yellow car was. i guess i shouldn't be surprised that it's a product of the fabled "Englishman in his shed" (figuratively speaking).
You do an excellent job digging into the best show ever made. The curb drains at the end are big and look a bit dangerous. I've been watching Last of the summer wine years and the question about why they're that has bothered me. Could you tell me why they're so big?
Thanks! I wish I knew about those drains. I have always imagined they are storm or flood drains, but in that location ..? If anyone is a drain expert, let us know!
I have always taken an interest in the technical and behind-the-scenes aspects of theatre, tv and film. I know people in tv and have been "backstage" at BBC TV Centre.
Your comment that Entwhistle’s Toyota had been hair sprayed was a bit of inside information. I just retired after a fifty year Hollywood career as a cameraman and we occasionally used dulling spray although treating a whole truck would be difficult to get an even finish. I’m guessing they gave the truck a professional matte respray. You do a good job producing interesting videos Leigh, thanks from a fan.
A slight correction on Masseys garage in Market Weighton, it closed in the late 1980s by which time it was a Land Rover dealership. The building was divided up into 3 units, one of which became a Netto, later Asda supermarket
My information is from a reliable source, I had no reason to query it. I was aware of what happened to the building later, but that was not relevant to include.
@@upstagedbyadog That's fair enough, I agree it wasn't relevant to include what happened to the building later within the video, I was including it within my comment in case anyone was interested. My earliest memories of the town date from 1991/2 and I don't remember the garage, that's why I am saying late 1980s
Good job on showing all this stuff. Brings me back to the good times watching the tv show. Thank You for the memories 😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
Excellent ! being addicted to LOSW and also a "petrol head" (think Wesley Pegdon without the newspapers!) I loved this !!
No, really Bob, you do need the newspapers!
brilliant response, that made me laugh.😀
Great video Leigh about last of the summer wine tractor’s and motorbike and side cars all looked cool and cool facts about cars to
Lovely episode!
Thanks for another great episode, 👍👍👍👍
I can't begin to tell you how much I'm enjoying these shows. Thanks so very much. I'm still cracking up, just remembering these episodes 😊😊😊😅😅😅.
Thanks Alex! Still a few more videos to come

Wonderful video, Superb!!

Crushers first car the white one is not a 2cv,whilst in fact it's a Citroen, the model is an Ami.
I correct you, as the vehicle in Who's looking after the Cafe is a Citroen Dyane.
Fun stuff Leigh and you seem to know your way around a film set, are you in the biz?

@@jayoneill1533 I'd agree except the BBC budget was not generous and it was only seen "really" dull in one episode

I am wondering how long the episode would have been just to focus on Wesley’s Land Rovers and other assorted vehicles (Loxley Lozenge anyone?)?
Hi Cris, you can find out... ua-cam.com/video/FwVdDUk1pNA/v-deo.html - it's 16 minutes!
You are filling in s lot of information. I am not knowledgeable about cars, but Barry always had a different car. Even different colors.
You can see Barry's cars in this video: ua-cam.com/video/FwVdDUk1pNA/v-deo.htmlsi=gR7cIksNUpDz9Zy-
