The series should, and probably will be as loved and remembered as well as the series itself, I know it will by me. Thankyou for revisiting this wonderful era. 🤗👍
Thank you for giving us a more detailed look at some of the characters in this amazing show. I love "Last Of The Summer Wine," and I do miss these wonderful and very talented actors.
This just go to show how bloody good writing and casting, makes this the best sitcom ever. All the exras and part characters make it an amazing journey of laughter. Liked it so much bought the DVD's, and still love it. Thankyou for your enthusiasm and time in all these vids.
What a wonderful cast of iconic British actors & actresses this series had over the years. Very sad that the vast majority of them are gone 😢 Great video
Another simply outstanding episode 👏👏👏👏👏👏, don’t know why it takes two days to get down 🥝🥝🥝 under, but loved it❤️❤️❤️, cheers from a chilly 🥶🥶🥶new🥝🥝🥝zealand of an evening 🍺🍺🍺, cheers all other winos🍻🍻🍻
@@upstagedbyadog Watching the show from beginning to end and watching this channel I’ve realised how it changed over its long run but the show kept its charm, comedy and I think most importantly it’s heart
Another great episode, Leigh! It highlights Roy Clarke's genius that he could create a magnificent cast of characters to supplement the main 'Trio'. Love your insight as well. Going to bookmark this series and watch it often!
i first started watching LOTSW several years ago and now it's a daily treat. brit humor is unlike american humor and quite refreshing. this show actually changed my speech in that i adopted much slang and occasionally omit "the", as in "going to hospital". kinship relations as in your, our and my took awhile but i get it now.
2:44 Wow, I thought you'd forget about Crusher's technicolor-haired girlfriend but you didn't !!! Too bad they didn't add her to the cast when Crusher was still part of the series. Another fantastic episode, I now know Eli's last name thanks to you lol.
Hey Leigh I remember you mentioning the information posters in Sids Cafe says holmfirth on them I noticed to they mentioned the town name on posters in last of the summer wine
In early episodes most of the posters were for wrestling matches, which would have been popular at the time - as featured on ITV's Saturday afternoon show "World of Sport" (1964-1985). It might have been to avoid making any obvious mention of the town, as the show was filmed in several nearby locations, it was a technically a "fake" town. Later, when the real locations became better known (and as interest in wrestling probably dwindled) different posters for local events featured real town names.

Thank you David, I hope both will be remembered!

I wondered why they introduced Crusher's girlfriend when he had already left the show!

You have to love Eli.
I remember 1 time crusher lifted compo by the scruff of the neck which surprised Compo I like Eli Dunket (Danny Odea) Thumby duck
Crusher even lifted up the back of his car to move it!
I see you walking around Holmfirth mate I'm usually sat somewhere with my girlfriend taking in the scenery & hustle & bustle
That picture of Eli shows him with a Border Collie not a Jack Russel.
I think he had different dogs in two episodes, I used the best available image!
assume you enjoyed all the 50th celebrations? We went on the Saturday.
Sadly, we didn't get to go, but we were there in spirit!
