It would be great if we get an engine which is best of both world.. Because I love both engine at what they do best. Dynamic Destruction is one key feature I love Frostbite and the photorealistic environment of the IW Engine. Overall I love both and they will always get better.

Before David Sirland left the company, he stated that we would expect Russian weapons and technology. I have a high suspicion that the reason BFV ended so early was a matter of two factors - COVID and rise of the next battlefield game. We even uncovered a Russian LMG and voice lines. Battlefield games have been always visually good. Battlefield 5 messed up real with ww2 setting but overall that was a fun game to play regardless of that. I hope the new one improves on anti cheats...

Cao Urso-polar the character model is giving a blank stare that’s the problem but it’s just a selection screen anyways. Cod would feel alive if characters didn’t look so floaty when they moved around the ground.
Visually, MW for weapon models and animations, character models. Battlefield for explosions and the environments and lighting effects are just stunning
@@shane4429 The sounds aren't though BFV got the sounds right especially with WWII weapons. They each have their advantages but the sound is better. The BFV sound has the crack of the bullet as it breaks the sound barrier that is missing in MW.
Capitanul yeah I agree. COD’s don’t have as much detail but they are more reminiscent of a real person. Bf5’s look great but something about them is off.
I agree , also random thought , mw is a great game compared to recent cod's . It aint perfect but its the right step to the franchise. I hope they dont milk the multiplayer though and keep it good but not overdone
Two things about BF5 to take in. 1) He was playing with max settings, which can cause a huge difference like oversaturation of sharpness or colors, maybe even the contrast he's got it set on, and each class has a unique skin color. Kinda like BF1. 2) But it's the details to take account for. The pores and creases and dirt splotches on the soldiers face that also adds to the realism. Now if BF5 details were mixed with COD: MW's somewhat realistic textures, then it would be a flawless mix.
The thing I hate about battlefield is how the shooting feels so weak and floaty. Especially the reload animations. But In cod everything feels like it really packs a punch. It feels great to shoot your weapon in cod.

That “lens filter” on the explosions in MW are actually meant to mimic the shockwave off real life explosions. That’s an effect you would actually see if you watched a real explosion
Ansari.exe. Yes I’m not blind, the third person character model animations are more advanced then the first person animations in BFV they are not the same thing. Reflections reflect those third person animations not first
Cod mw 2019 models in general feel way more realistic. They feel like real people, especially when it comes to idle animations, voice lines, and reload animations

@@jackgolden1774 I think the small maps are fantastic in MW but battlefield 5 maps blew me away. the interiors of houses felt empty to me though, but they are destructable. MW doesnt have destructable maps so the attention to detail is more and the space is much smaller allowing for more detail and less strain on the system

In cod, the lens affect is bc you’re actually looking through a helmet or body cam. Hence why they made the game winning killcam an actual cam recording.
I mean you can’t feel the dirt going on you so they just gotta show dirt going you after the explosion. Shouldn’t have anything to do with cameras or anything
If DICE adds decent matchmaking and anti cheat system with TTK Revert, everyone will enjoy this game and especially the 4 pacific maps are awesome. Hey Nick when IW released Warzone for MW, compare that thing to PUBG
The funny thing is, Battlefield 1 (2016) is better visually and in terms of audio when compared to Battlefield V (2018). Battlefield V is a clearly rushed and uninspired game.
@Maclues If you're looking at pure graphics? Yes, BFV looks better. However, every time I see side-by-side comparisons (or just play both games back-to-back) BF1 always looks better to me. I think it's the lighting. BFV's lighting is more detailed, but it's overdone. It makes everything look almost oversaturated, to the point that it looks less like reality and more like an edited photo. Still really good, but it doesn't look real.
It was not a full revert they only slighty reverted the sniper rifles to what they were in 5.0, there's going to be another "revert" in a month or two when 6.2 drops.
I love battlefield V it’s an awesome game, yes there’s some mistakes made from here and there, and Cod MW is also an amazing game, and I would play it more often if I wasn’t running into toxic players all the time. Otherwise both games are awesome.
Vhulrum while Battlefield 1 did a lot of things right (hell its one of my favorite BF games), BFV improves upon some of them. Graphics are smoother Destruction is more organic Guns are now more accurate and no more random bullet deviation Customization is a lot better Plane combat is also very satisfying And the community believes that closest feeling they’ve gotten to WW2 in BFV is the Pacific Theatre. I agree completely. Iwo Jima has an amazing atmosphere
Vhulrum True their may be incorrect characters, but at least I don’t get killed in a ww2 game by an m-16, while in battlefield 1 you get killed by weapons that weren’t even in ww1 but were in ww2.
1:36 MW’s default character showcase menu is the main issue.. when I inspected a skin from Season 2 Battle pass menu it has a high quality to it compared to the when you look at it in the default Character Preview menu.
@@rayhezbroham7297 he means the menu showcase, it's blurry there when you zoom in, but if you preview the suits in the battlepass that effect is disabled so you can preview them without blur effects
Faults I mean the animation not the design itself and based on this video only. I haven’t played battlefield V but will definitely play the next battlefield not this one as the old game’s franchise dies whenever the next one arrives.
1:28 I disagree with you about the facial models. MW has way better looking facial models. the character looks more alive and not as bland as the battlefield V character in comparison
I think it also would have been cool to cover third person player animations like running and sliding. BFV’s animations are especially impressive, with how player models interact based on their movements, such as tripping and stumbling over foliage and uneven surfaces, and shifting their balance when rounding corners. Running straight into a wall will also cause the third person model to react as if it realistically collides into a surface. Edit: I know it probably would made the video even longer, but also comparing the sounds based on environments would have been cool. Both games have their sound effects interact based on whether the player is inside or outside, and near surroundings.
I prefer how the gameplay is actually different in both games, battlefield has more detail on environment and physics, and huge maps with diverse vehicles, cod mw is great but multiplayer is just the same as the others.
COD MW weapons animations are insane, i really can't name other games with this level of fluidity and detail, for me just makes everithing better, i don't even care about the graphics.
Same boat. BF looks amazing as far as color and scenery but it still feels like the characters and guns don’t move fluidly. I rather a very natural animation than graphics as well 🤘🏼
@@baldgamer3965 yeah, i think it is a matter of personal taste in that regard, but mw weapon customization is so majestic, hundreds of acessories and combinations, weapons sound more impactful and strong. i dont know, in my opinion gunplay is superior in mw and makes me wanna play more with diferent weapons. It's funny how cod ww2 was compared to every game , to show how horrible their guns were , now the tables have turned and cod mw 2019 is compared to every game to show how good their guns are
@Quality High in the campaign, there's a bridge map which is one of the clips I showed here. It's called "Nijmegen Bridge". It says "NETHERLANDS" as it's loading up. Twisted Steel is a different location.

Even though bf5 has the upper hand in graphics and details, cod me just feels so much better in terms of gameplay and feel. Bf5 is not even close in those terms which is why I will always choose Modern warfare
diego Antonelli I’ve played all the battlefields none of them felt anything like cod. They’re good at what they do and cod is good at what they do. Most people just prefer the way cod feels

Something you forgot to address is that battlefield has had years perfecting all the little details and I understand call of duty has had time to practice stuff as well but the cods new engine and lighting effects is a one game thing and infinity wars haven’t had as much experience as dice
But you know what. Look it this way. Battlefield developers bring a new game in a few years and call of duty developers bring a new game almost every year meaning they don't take much time in creating the perfect game but just sent it out bcuz call of duty fans can't wait for a new game. Call of Duty has Infinity Ward, Treyarch and Sledgehammer as well as half a dozen support studios. So typically each CoD game has about the same dev time as a battlefield game would

People saying aah bfv has dinamyc destructive thing that why is better than cod, well...theres a lot of kind of shooters, cod is a standar one and bf is a sort of a battlefield sim, thats why props in cod mw are not destructible bcz it will affect the dynamism of the map and the consistancy of it, and battlefield maps are made to be destroyed. After watching this video I felt motivated to try out BF5 and i actually had fun with it. There's a lot of content to go through still and almost feels like a new game again. Thanks Nick for a great video 👍
I'm happy to see someone who actually tries to like the game and try all the content in it, I think most of the people who dislikes battlefield v haven't even played the game yet because of the shitty reveal they did :)
@@_dylanzz i played that since December 2018, it sucks. The smgs are too powerful and if you use another weapon you get destroyed. The medic has INFINITE bandages without a "reload" time so he can spam them. The airplane hitboxes sucks.
Bf5s Multiplayer feels unrewarding and not satisfying at all. The gunfights and gunplay/recoil is just anti fun. Characters aren't as customisable as in modern warfare and there's no real "reason" to grind in bf5. Cod has all of those, making the bf5 multiplayer fun for a short amount of time before losing to cod. The fun you have on bf5 is a short lived one, whereas cod is way more fun in the long run, when you have all those sweet skins, attachments, characters, emblems and calling cards. It gives you the feeling of accomplishment and prestige. Edit: Also, the feeling when you laser someone across the map and hearing those sweet hitmarkers feels so satisfying, it makes you wanna go for more kills, it's like having the M1 Garand Ping in a game. Modern warfares gunplay is the most fun I had since Bf4. I tried bf5 when they released the beta. As a Bf4 vet I was displeased and turned off cause it just feels way too different. I still play bf4 to this day, waiting patiently for a better Battlefield experience in the future.
Perhaps in individual weapon sounds, but Battlefield will still be overall superior in regards to the ambience and the fact that pretty much all the war-related sounds such as distant shooting and explosions are player generated.

The first thing I noticed when the trailers and gameplay started dropping for MW was the shotgun sounds. It sounded almost exactly like an actual 12ga (a bit quieter, but that's a given).

I agree mostly. Cod guns sound like they are more in a close quartered outside environment. Not too accurate sounding for the more open map of cod in video. But on other maps, I think the small daytime uk map and the small desert map with the cave, it sounds about right. Bfv, maybe it's because of the war tapes, sounds like the player is wearing earplugs and do indeed sound muffled/distant. Maybe if the sound on our device(s)/in game would be maxed there might be a difference. But I do have to say that the k98 in cod is a little over the top in sound.
Upon listening closer too, cod seems to almost have a more indoor sound with some guns too. Which if one is shooting indoors in the game, its freaking awesome.
BF: graphics looks nicer, better pistol audio, and multiplayer with better ground war map design, better character quality COD: campaign hands down, attention to detail, better small map designs (FFA, TDM, etc), co-op is better with spec-ops (it was somewhat of a flop in this game), textures conclusion: DICE needs better writers and artists, Infinity ward (the other studios can't keep up) needs better quality and large-scale multiplayer.
No, the gun does not sound realistic. They sound like movie guns. The BFV has the correct Tail end of the bullet crack as it flies through the air. MW has better recoil though.

Grenades don’t create shockwaves, it’s called blast overpressure, which is very minimal and although people think this is what kills you in a grenade, it’s not, fragments is what does kill you. So no, blast over pressure is very minimal and would never be visible to the naked eye.

Call of duty sound effects sound sooo much more realistic it's incomparable. Battlefield has too much echo and it ruins the beauty of the sound. Also I like weapon designs a lot better visually in cod but when it comes to character design and environment look battlefield takes the cake.
I think Modern Warfare is much better than BFV. BFV is an example of a highly realistic game that asks for numberous glitches and errors. While MW is a great example of balancing what details are nessesary and what details are not nessesary. I have to object his statement that BFV's player model is photo realisitc. Their looks look unatural wherhas MW looks so much more natural. I also kinda suspect that small details in BFV affects the performance of the game like for example player models do not developed properly. Sound effects for MW are much immersive. Most of the time when the person is near the weapon, you don't hear the gunshot cracking sound as its most of the time muffled.
Everyone's mistake is using BFV's war tapes setting for the sound test. It actually isn't mixed as well as the other settings and muffles the guns quite a bit. Speakers or Headphones settings brings that punch your looking for for the sound test.
Fuzato not a good point, in BFV that gun is brand new, in COD it’s decades old with a lot of wear and tear. Regardless the actual texture quality is higher on BFV
I love the new modern warfare, in my opinion I don’t think BFV is a finished game again I love both games to bits. Due to the comparison, from when BFV first came out I spotted a lot of improved details from the new updates and characters looking less cartoony, shadows from where you hold a gun are less darkened, I even spotted tiny hairs on hands as well, again I love both Modern warfare and battlefield but I have to say BFV has made some incredible improvements do I have to give credit to that, but I think modern warfare and battlefield to me are equal to me
A hardcoore gamer once told me. If you want to have a paintball match with machine guns. Buy COD. If you want warfare. Buy battlefield. That comment has always stood out to me.
Pretty much since most COD player base pretty much run and gun solo. COD is and was design around MLG tournament so trying to translate it into a massive battle failed.

I’d have to disagree and say Battlefield has superior sound design, BFV and Insurgency Sandstorm have to be among the two best shooter games for sound, the way the audio echoes across the landscape, the finer details you hear, they both sound spectacular and you can really notice the lack of openness to the sound when playing other games, I don’t even usually notice little details with sound but with BFV and Insurgency SS, playing anything else it feels like it’s claustrophobic, everything is right at my ear, like I’m not in a world.

Two things about BF5 to take in. 1) He was playing with max settings, which can cause a huge difference like oversaturation of sharpness or colors, maybe even the contrast he's got it set on, and each class has a unique skin color. Kinda like BF1. 2) But it's the details to take account for. The pores and creases and dirt splotches on the soldiers face that also adds to the realism. Now if BF5 details were mixed with COD: MW's somewhat realistic textures, then it would be a flawless mix.

The thing I hate about battlefield is how the shooting feels so weak and floaty. Especially the reload animations. But In cod everything feels like it really packs a punch. It feels great to shoot your weapon in cod.

MW doesnt have destructable maps so the attention to detail is more and the space is much smaller allowing for more detail and less strain on the system

In cod, the lens affect is bc you’re actually looking through a helmet or body cam. Hence why they made the game winning killcam an actual cam recording.

@Maclues If you're looking at pure graphics? Yes, BFV looks better. However, every time I see side-by-side comparisons (or just play both games back-to-back) BF1 always looks better to me.
I think it's the lighting. BFV's lighting is more detailed, but it's overdone. It makes everything look almost oversaturated, to the point that it looks less like reality and more like an edited photo. Still really good, but it doesn't look real.

It was not a full revert they only slighty reverted the sniper rifles to what they were in 5.0, there's going to be another "revert" in a month or two when 6.2 drops.
Longer TTK requires more gun skill so you basically want the game to be as noob friendly as modern warfare is.
I love battlefield V it’s an awesome game, yes there’s some mistakes made from here and there, and Cod MW is also an amazing game, and I would play it more often if I wasn’t running into toxic players all the time. Otherwise both games are awesome.

1:36 MW’s default character showcase menu is the main issue.. when I inspected a skin from Season 2 Battle pass menu it has a high quality to it compared to the when you look at it in the default Character Preview menu.

I think it also would have been cool to cover third person player animations like running and sliding. BFV’s animations are especially impressive, with how player models interact based on their movements, such as tripping and stumbling over foliage and uneven surfaces, and shifting their balance when rounding corners. Running straight into a wall will also cause the third person model to react as if it realistically collides into a surface.
Edit: I know it probably would made the video even longer, but also comparing the sounds based on environments would have been cool. Both games have their sound effects interact based on whether the player is inside or outside, and near surroundings.
I prefer how the gameplay is actually different in both games, battlefield has more detail on environment and physics, and huge maps with diverse vehicles, cod mw is great but multiplayer is just the same as the others.
As visually impressive as bf5 is the sounds in cod mw 2019 was startling and I jumped when the frag went off

COD MW weapons animations are insane, i really can't name other games with this level of fluidity and detail, for me just makes everithing better, i don't even care about the graphics.

@Quality High in the campaign, there's a bridge map which is one of the clips I showed here. It's called "Nijmegen Bridge". It says "NETHERLANDS" as it's loading up. Twisted Steel is a different location.

Something you forgot to address is that battlefield has had years perfecting all the little details and I understand call of duty has had time to practice stuff as well but the cods new engine and lighting effects is a one game thing and infinity wars haven’t had as much experience as dice

Call of Duty has Infinity Ward, Treyarch and Sledgehammer as well as half a dozen support studios. So typically each CoD game has about the same dev time as a battlefield game would

The smgs are too powerful and if you use another weapon you get destroyed.
The medic has INFINITE bandages without a "reload" time so he can spam them. The airplane hitboxes sucks.

Bf5s Multiplayer feels unrewarding and not satisfying at all. The gunfights and gunplay/recoil is just anti fun. Characters aren't as customisable as in modern warfare and there's no real "reason" to grind in bf5.
Cod has all of those, making the bf5 multiplayer fun for a short amount of time before losing to cod.
The fun you have on bf5 is a short lived one, whereas cod is way more fun in the long run, when you have all those sweet skins, attachments, characters, emblems and calling cards. It gives you the feeling of accomplishment and prestige.
Edit: Also, the feeling when you laser someone across the map and hearing those sweet hitmarkers feels so satisfying, it makes you wanna go for more kills, it's like having the M1 Garand Ping in a game. Modern warfares gunplay is the most fun I had since Bf4. I tried bf5 when they released the beta. As a Bf4 vet I was displeased and turned off cause it just feels way too different. I still play bf4 to this day, waiting patiently for a better Battlefield experience in the future.

The modern warfare game easily takes the sound effects imo. BFV still sounds like a video game, while MW somehow really sounds like real weaponry.
Perhaps in individual weapon sounds, but Battlefield will still be overall superior in regards to the ambience and the fact that pretty much all the war-related sounds such as distant shooting and explosions are player generated.

I agree mostly. Cod guns sound like they are more in a close quartered outside environment. Not too accurate sounding for the more open map of cod in video. But on other maps, I think the small daytime uk map and the small desert map with the cave, it sounds about right. Bfv, maybe it's because of the war tapes, sounds like the player is wearing earplugs and do indeed sound muffled/distant. Maybe if the sound on our device(s)/in game would be maxed there might be a difference. But I do have to say that the k98 in cod is a little over the top in sound.
Upon listening closer too, cod seems to almost have a more indoor sound with some guns too. Which if one is shooting indoors in the game, its freaking awesome.

Grenades don’t create shockwaves, it’s called blast overpressure, which is very minimal and although people think this is what kills you in a grenade, it’s not, fragments is what does kill you. So no, blast over pressure is very minimal and would never be visible to the naked eye.

CoD SOUNDS like it has more punch. BFV looks amazing as always and is visually superior, but CoD is at the very least on par sound wise.

Call of duty sound effects sound sooo much more realistic it's incomparable. Battlefield has too much echo and it ruins the beauty of the sound. Also I like weapon designs a lot better visually in cod but when it comes to character design and environment look battlefield takes the cake.

I think Modern Warfare is much better than BFV.
BFV is an example of a highly realistic game that asks for numberous glitches and errors. While MW is a great example of balancing what details are nessesary and what details are not nessesary.
I have to object his statement that BFV's player model is photo realisitc. Their looks look unatural wherhas MW looks so much more natural.
I also kinda suspect that small details in BFV affects the performance of the game like for example player models do not developed properly.
Sound effects for MW are much immersive. Most of the time when the person is near the weapon, you don't hear the gunshot cracking sound as its most of the time muffled.
MW sound design feels like it's playing in a room or something when B5 sound design feels much epic in scale and quality 🔊
The sound in MW changes according to were you are. the sound would be different if you are in an building or in an open area
Everyone's mistake is using BFV's war tapes setting for the sound test. It actually isn't mixed as well as the other settings and muffles the guns quite a bit. Speakers or Headphones settings brings that punch your looking for for the sound test.
2:32 I sincerely disagree that Battlefield has better graphics for the regiment, in the coda is just seeing the details better than battlefield
Fuzato not a good point, in BFV that gun is brand new, in COD it’s decades old with a lot of wear and tear. Regardless the actual texture quality is higher on BFV

I love the new modern warfare, in my opinion I don’t think BFV is a finished game again I love both games to bits. Due to the comparison, from when BFV first came out I spotted a lot of improved details from the new updates and characters looking less cartoony, shadows from where you hold a gun are less darkened, I even spotted tiny hairs on hands as well, again I love both Modern warfare and battlefield but I have to say BFV has made some incredible improvements do I have to give credit to that, but I think modern warfare and battlefield to me are equal to me
A hardcoore gamer once told me. If you want to have a paintball match with machine guns. Buy COD. If you want warfare. Buy battlefield. That comment has always stood out to me.
Pretty much since most COD player base pretty much run and gun solo. COD is and was design around MLG tournament so trying to translate it into a massive battle failed.
I was a COD fanboy but after seeing BF-V multiplayer gameplays, I've changed my mind.

While in the battlefield v the grenade explosion and the 1911 pistol sounds more realistic, in CoD the MG34 and Kar98 sounds far more realistic.
CoD KAR98 sounds awful. It sounds nothing like that. It makes a CRACK sound, not a POOM sound.

Sound Quality is MW2019 by a longshot. As in BFV, you feel like shooting a bb gun, in MW2019 you feel like you are really shooting a real-life gun.

I’d have to disagree and say Battlefield has superior sound design, BFV and Insurgency Sandstorm have to be among the two best shooter games for sound, the way the audio echoes across the landscape, the finer details you hear, they both sound spectacular and you can really notice the lack of openness to the sound when playing other games, I don’t even usually notice little details with sound but with BFV and Insurgency SS, playing anything else it feels like it’s claustrophobic, everything is right at my ear, like I’m not in a world.
