IDK I was going to write this game off but today I'm deciding to try the beta and see what I think about it from this review it seems quite good but I'm not going to get my hopes up
@@DigoWarzone I can't speak on how they directly treat their studios because I don't know myself - but a "3 year cycle" is not at all bad for game development. That's the typical timeframe for AAA games nowadays. In fact - THIS game took 4 years of development. Edit: yes, they still had 4 years even if they were forced to restart. That's besides the point. The fact that they were given time is the only thing that matters
Honestly i've been dreaming of a game like that for a while now. It would be so fun just to have something different like that and be taken back to times like the revolutionary war. Maybe they can make a "COD: Dimensions" or something like that, tying in the zombies multidimensional stuff with going back in time to older wars.
@Dylan Passchier i remember my pap telling me he fought the enemy team. he lost a lot of men on his team, but it was all worth it because they finally beat the enemy team.
I really liked War mode. Finally a game where everyone would go for the objective instead of people choosing the game mode for easy kills. Besides, it gave a little more touch with history than the other game modes. Storming that beach in Normandy, fearing for your life every second of it hoping that the machine guns in the bunkers wouldnt notice you... It's great.

I remember when CoD World at War came out. They released a video talking about how much detail and effort they put into the weaponry. Everything was authentic and true to life. They had videos of them at a gun range firing all the weapons with microphones placed in different locations and distances so they could maximize the realism of sound effects. They were proud of the effort they took, and I appreciated the work that went into delivering an enjoyable gunplay experience. Time and technology are no substitute for hard work, and common sense. I miss the old days when developers were detail oriented and capable.
I remember them doing that for the old Medal Of Honor games as well. In the Rising Sun one during the credits they showed their guys recording the gun sounds at the range.
I'm not gonna say this is a copy and paste comment, but somebody on another video posted the same kind of comment with the same points as you have. I think that really shows that authenticity goes a long way, at least for some people.
I'm just waiting for someone to break the news that the reason the CoDs have become so large in file size is because the have copied the code from the first game all the way to the latest one, and just added and changed a few things.
@@spawnie051 what I heard was that they don’t decompress their files so that loading time aren’t much longer than they needed to be. For example people who have low end pc can play at a steady rate without long waiting times. It’s either that or they are too fucking lazy to decompress the files and want to take 2/3 of you hard drive😂
The biggest issue with this game is at 1:24. "One of history's greatest conflicts." Immediately cuts to a Thompson with a drum mag and a red dot sight.

@@raivenbeatz1468 Sure it was a late war thing... but so was the "Eagle's Nest" lol. Plus... it's call of duty multiplayer. This is not an aspect of the series that has EVER taken itself seriously. Call of Duty: World at War had reflex sights and drum mags for the Thompson too.
@@Nick930 Drum mags can't be used on a M1 Thompson. (Which is the model we usually see used in WWII.) Reflex sights were definatley not used in WWII on small arms.
@@Skrenja who cares? It. Is. A. Video. Game. The series has not once been about authenticity. It's always been built to mimic popular hollywood war films - and all of the silly unrealistic aspects of those films.
Only thing memorable from War Mode was “THEY’RE BUILDING A BRIDGE”, otherwise it was alright. Ground War is much better than War Mode, think of it as its son who built on his father’s legacy.
I did all of my Camos on war mode before i played any regular multiplayer and i put 7 days into it while doing those camos lol then i ended up putting another 3 days into war then 20 into multiplayer. I miss that game but i got rid of my ps4 when i got a pc. I have it on pc but it’s not the same.
@@kirk.kang27 ground war was in older cods well before ww2 2017 don’t try and be so confident next time. There is, however, Ground war WAR MODE that could be considered war modes father. But OG ground war was just more players on any map usually 16v16
@@kirk.kang27 ehh, I think War Mode just fits COD better than Ground War does. It feel like a cheap Battlefield rip off. War mode kept the maps tight and fast so battles felt larger than they actually were which IMO works better as cod is much more tuned for that fast pace combat. Ground War is just a sniper fest.
Modern Warfare 2019 is by far the best in the series. Honestly, WaW looks horrible now just like it did at launch. I still remember the nightmarish StG 44 from that game. Disgusting!
Snow. Snow is one of the coolest things in a game(when done right). Battlefield 1 ,did it the best I've EVER seen. The snow storm is just absolutely beautiful.
I'm glad I wasn't the only one that was reminded of BF3's close quarters maps with the lovely perminant damage to surfaces (ironically the sun flare too but wirh all the negatives). Also Red Star remindes me a lot of some RO2 maps.
Videos like this one do make a difference, so thank you. Sledgehammer and other COD developers do watch these and pay attention to what the mass-majority of its users want. Sledgehammer has already made some massive differences in Vanguard since the very first gameplay footage, so it's really nice to see that they are indeed listening.
They should atleast start selling the "new" games at half price or something since they're gonna shove store bundles up the ass in this one too. Buuuttt we all know they're not going to.
I feel like the gunshots are more, like, airy? if that makes sense, like ww2's gunshots sounded more ratatat while Vanguard's seem more like an airsoft gun
It reminds me of Advanced Warfare’s gun sounds, which is absolutely not a good thing... I’ll be honest, I LOVED CW’s gun sounds. MW19’s may have been more realistic, but CW’s felt more.. CoD-like. Idk I can’t really explain it
This game looks like a mix between MW2019 and WWII. MW graphics and gameplay with WWII sound and setting. I want to play MW again but I have to download 150GB again :S
@@HarshGupta-oe1hv graphic style, mostly because is the same engine that I feel it like that. I'm already re-downloading MW2019 for the 4th time to compare them. 16 hours more to go.
@@HarshGupta-oe1hv those MW updates were the reason I got rid of it, I got tired of having to download a 50gb update just to play regular multiple player especially when those updates updated warzone a mode I dont even play.
Vanguard has one of the best map lineups we've seen in a cod game in a while. The variety is great, and there's a lot of interesting verticality brought back in a lot of the maps. I just wish it wasn't so buggy, and that it was Allies vs Axis and not androgenous superhero operators that all look the same on both teams. Underneath all of the bugs and horrendous gameplay choices is a solid cod game, but unfortunately I don't think the devs are up to the task of saving the game after its uninspiring and lackluster launch. My 2 cents.
I think it’s awesome how there is gore in multiplayer again, that’s missing from so many games these days. Vanguards weapon audio is better than WWII’s, they just need to be made louder.
Idk if its just me but i like that small detail on the vg mg42 reload where the charging handle gets kinda stuck when they rack it, realistically it wouldn’t be buttery smooth so i like it
About being unable to interrupt your reload, that's actually a setting for some reason, turn it off and you can interrupt your reloads whenever you want
honestly, im disappointed that it wasnt treyarch making this game, all we want is world at war 2, and vanguard seems like one of those flashy ww2 games, and not a dark and serious world at war style game which treyarch can accomplish
Im prety sure you dont wanna play vanguard with shity graphic like coldwar But anyway most of the World at war DEVS are out so treyarch would be more strugling to make a good ww2 game
@@pagion3169 coldwar actually had a dark and creepy campaign feel to it, so they still got it, now all they have to do is make world at war 2 and make it dark, shocking and dark and disturbing.
Sledgehammer Games turned down muzzle flash for the second weekend of the beta to make visibility clearer. It won't be like that in the full game and there is an option to sprint to cancel reload. You need to turn it on in settings just like the previous games.
How do you know they won't keep the less-intrusive muzzle flashes since they're an improvement upon the clarity? I really hope we get the restored muzzle flashes, but I see no reason (from their perspective) to reimplement it if by lowering it they increased clarity.

The whole stick is dumb destruction and some squad-based gimmicks and utterly retarded vehicle combat, that mops the floor with all unfortunate to cross paths. If you want a real game, try Verdun, Insurgency, Red Orchestra, Infamy and the upcoming '83 or Isonzo.
Vanguard need factions. Without it, it lacks that WW2 atmosphere. Instead it just feels like you're trying to win the match instead of fighting for a cause. Despite all the criticisms, CoD WW2 had atmosphere with the factions which made it more immersive.

I hope War Mode returns from COD WW2 in Vanguard. One of the best modes ever introduced. Honestly looking forward to this game, it looks good and feels good, much better and more polished than Cold War. My only concern for Vanguard is what guns do they release for Season DLC.
Ww2 has its issues but its not that bad, vg isn't a remake either. More like a dlc for mw2019. Im playing ww2 for the first time atm, dout ill be getting vg for a while, like most people i just dont care
@@salmontube1691 For me WW2 is worse than ghosts. Ghosts at least experimented with the maps and perk system. WW2 just has boring maps and a watered down version of the perk system we had in BO2
Its not reskin omfg , its just the same engine. Only some animations are the same because they were already pretty good to change , everything else is reworked again ! its not as simple as changing the cover of a book.
I like the sounds in vanguard more when it comes to reloading, they're just too quiet. WWII had reloading that sounded unsatisfying and like you're fumbling tin cans
hearing that WWII music gives such good vibes, just sitting in headquarters relaxing seeing others afk farming, people practicing in the gunfire, and people 1v1ing, opening crates there to either brag or to feel better. Feels nice.
Visually it always did look better but gameplay wise, besides those games being shooters, they play very differently. Battlefield has always been that War simulator shooter and CoD has always been an Arcade shooter like game. Both games have always been pretty good in their own right and I plan to get both because I like shooters in general lol

@@thelis4u I would agree with that to an extent. Not fully though. Maps, destructible walls, large scale pvp but not to the extent of Battlefield. The gunplay and gameplay style though is still fast paced despite that. To me though, it still feels like CoD is CoD despite that although I see what you’re getting it. However I never liked comparing the two or saying which one is better or not cause it’s always a back and forth.
@Moa Moa Fr, it’s pretty fun. Nothing too special but it doesn’t have to be. Although I do have critiques of the game like how anyone would but overall, it’s just fine.
Vanguard left a bad taste in my mouth the first hour I played due to connection issues causing the game to be nearly unplayable. I had my xbox right next to my wifi. (I was able to catch footage of it happening) And constantly being kicked from matches right as the countdown reached 1. But I eventually was able to enjoy the game, and I will say I had fun. Would I buy it on day 1, I don't think so unfortunately. The fact they ditched such a good mode like war mode leaves a bad taste in my mouth. It seems new features that give the franchise a fresh breathe of fresh air is abandoned if it strays from the traditional cod formula. Something that feels like it needs something new to keep it fresh. I'm waiting till cod mw2, and will most likely buy BF 2042 since that's something all my friends will be playing.
I mean it’s mostly cause most of us have grown by now We view it differently and feel it differently because we are different. No longer ignoring the flaws of the game And no longer feel the sense of wonder we did as kids because we’ve seen it all before. Not only do we judge and criticize games differently, but we also have access to the millions of minds doing the same thing No longer trapped in our own little world where the only thing that mattered was us and how many kills we got and challenging our friends to 1v1s. it was new at the time, things were new, and because of that we were blown away, because when we were younger things were different, but things never stay the same. And that cause to yearn for what it was before, for that awe inspiring surprising surprise, for the feeling of getting your first kill, your first kill streak, your first win. We want it to be new again However the chances are that That will never happen, not because the games are inherently bad and can’t cause a sense of wonder to the right people, just like they did to us when we were younger But just because it’s a fact. CoD isn’t new, not to us, not anymore. So things don’t hit the same anymore, because we’ve already experienced those hits before, time after after time. And that’s all there is to it really
2:41 for anyone that wants to know the Germans never used the broomhandle Mauser with a magazine in ww2. The Luftwaffe bought a few thousand but they are all stripper fed and use the old mauser round and not the 9mm luger that was the standard german pistol round
I noticed that in Vanguard the player microphone audio is wayyyy too loud. I would have my TV on half volume and the player chat would be blowing my ear drums to the point where I just muted everyone, before each match started
Comparing a 4 year old game to a new one is a bit ridiculous. Especially when it’s a whole different generation of consoles. Shows how cod doesn’t change.
I'd rather have a game that favors good graphics over catered graphics for competitive gameplay. Good Graphics, lets people vibe. Competitive graphics make people try hard.
2:49 Is no one going to talk about that the Machine Pistol is actually a Red 9? The 9mm version of the C96. I didn't even notice that red 9 on the pistol grip until he zoomed in the picture. Also, I'm not aware of the Red 9's being full auto either.
@@Scimon_Scisick In the game, it shoots like a Mauser M712 Schnellfeuer, but it doesn't have that fire selector on the side. You can even see that there's no fire selector on the side of the gun at 2:49. Also, the Mauser M712 Schnellfeuer is 7.63x25mm. Vanguard got it all mixed up, which I'm a little disappointed about. But, I still can't wait for Vanguard to come into Warzone soon.
@@Scimon_Scisick lol, it's like they mixed up the M712 by making it mag fed and full auto, but putting no fire selector for some reason, and the Red 9 by adding that distinctive red 9 on the pistol grip.
@@Blackjack773 In the game it's called "Machine Pistol" there is no specific model. Probably red 9 is there because it's distinctive and full auto because it's cool to have full automatic pistol or it's unlockable feature like 40 bullet mag for it. Or they just fucked up. 🙂

COD just needs a damn break at this point. MW’s multiplayer sucked but it did have the amazing attention to detail with the weapons and graphics which were way more up to par with next gen games than expected from the franchise. But sadly the room for improvement was thrown out of the way for Warzone. Cold War was probably the one with personally my favorite stuff such as the campaign and zombies, but it was so clear that the yearly cycle screwed up that game exponentially with the very dated visuals and gun mechanics. And the awful SBMM in the multiplayer was so terrible that it became unplayable. For Vanguard, this game just doesn’t need to exist right now. It’s uninspired, boring and literally the worst out of all the 3 games presented so far. And with BF 2042 on the way, this is literally a friggin joke.
You can’t say it’s the worst when the game hasn’t even come out yet, on top of the fact that the other 2 games have had almost 1-2 years of content drops and fixes.

I think we might see a mode related to the war mode or ground war in vanguard. In the bazooka and panzerscheck descriptions, they say they are effective against vehicles, so unless the only vehicles will be that small tank, we’ll see large scale modes in vanguard
The biggest deal breaker for me is Sound design. It feels like you're using toy guns with an ASMR vibe to most of the audio. It tickles your ears but lacks any punch or impact. I only lasted a few matches before uninstalling the beta because of the weak sound effects 😖
If you’re trying to reload cancel, for one, when the game comes out, turn on sprint cancels reload, and two, you can double tap switch weapon to cancel your reload.
I personally can’t stand how all the automatic weapons sound pretty much the same. Kinda like someone using a typewriter. Just the difference in rate of fire seeming like someone typing either faster or slower. I think the sun glare is a bit much as well. Oh and of course like everyone has mention, the lack of audio such as hearing your enemies footsteps etc.
Any Chance we could see some more direct comparisons of early 8th gen vs early 9th gen games? I know you've done some like resident evil, and the witcher, but I'd really like to see some side by side comparisons of how far a generation of gaming has advanced.
Well I know one thing Vanguard looks to be running a lot smoother on PC at the moment. I play on the Series X and there alot of issues present which I’ll be writing in as feed back to Sledgehammer games like this weird flickering of the graphics in game which cause this flashing of white and green on screen, very odd, as well as some sort of pixilation on certain maps like the Hotel one when looking at distance objects and when looking through the broken glass near B on domination, then there’s this constant frame rate drops/stuttering during gameplay, which is amplified if you turn off 120Hz in the settings, the gameplay drops to like 4FPS and the graphic quality of the game alters too. Then there’s the terrible spawn killing issue, for some reason the game spawns you in horrendous locations sometimes right in front of an enemy, and it has been all too common through out my play of Vanguard. Then there’s this weird issue where I wasn’t able to get out of crouch by tactical sprinting, it would happen occasionally and very frustrating as it would happen at such random moments when otherwise it would work, and of course the sound, like mentioned in this video I can see now this isn’t just a Series X issue, but it’s very weird as it’s as if all the sound has been lowered in the settings although being on max, and at some times when dying the sound of an explosion or certain gun fire would crank right back up again then go back to quiet, and I noticed when the announcer talked at times the gameplay sound would become muffled briefly. But the one gun I noticed that would stay loudest the longest was the DP-12. Also I’m not sure if this is a bug or a gameplay feature but I noticed when I’d go to cook a grenade I would sometimes get a white trajectory showing me where the grenade will land but this has since disappeared, so I’m not sure if that’s some sort of debugging feature that’s happened to be left on by accident or is supposed to be a feature used in the game.
Sledgehammer's last COD was in 2017. It's been 4 years for them, the longest of any COD so far. And I really don't see what else they could do to improve this. It's really not bad - just a few bugs that they're already working to fix
@@Nick930 yes, but I think the community is feeling a bit burned out of Call of Duty. Look at Fifa and F1. Those games are yearly releases and I dont have to buy a Fifa game every year. I just think it will also be good for Activision, if you think about it. It will only build anticipation and hype. It will work, cause look at Battlefield2042's hype. It was building up since the last BF game from 2018.

@@Koebergboer yes I think that they could have just done dlc for cid modern warfare. And all the studios could together take a few years and make a better game. I think of cod vanguard as a dlc for modern warfare/bocw but with a little bit better graphics and a few Ney mechanics
I don't know what to say about multiplayer, I may like it as usual since I will have more fun with bots. As for the singleplayer campaign, I can't wait to play it, the story mode is my main reason to buy the game.
I am still crying with the amount of cursed combinations you can do with the Gunsmith, you do know that the Stock of the *STG-44 IS WHERE THE RECOIL SPRING IS LOCATED!?!?* I am clawing my nails out with the amount of Inaccuracies of the Guns, also *all Pistols in WW2 were operated 1 Handedly* there were no such things as Tactical nor Speed reloads back then, you just shoot, that's it, you did what you have to do to survive
I completely disagree with beat-up weapons. The weapons were years to months old when used in World War II. You don't dig ditches with weapons, you always take care of them, they must always be clean, but oiled. The best would be a choice between levels of wear, so that people can enjoy whatever floats their boat best.

I played the Beta last night and tbh the experience was pretty Mehh couple decent matches with alot of frustrating ones had no idea where I was getting shot people sitting mounted behind ledges and whatnot not much blind firing though there are a ton of visual bugs and terrible connection issues I can't hear footsteps or tell the enemy team apart Sledgehammer needs to address these problems
New nice coat of paint is not enough. And the games features don't make sense in a ww2 setting. The most underwhelmed I have been in years. The irony: standard multiplayer is becoming cods weakest selling point.
I’m actually a fan of vanguard, it’s realistic to the point where it feels believable, but still retains that call of duty insanity with all of the zany attachments and modifications.
The way the character holds their mp40 like a fucking M4Aq with an infrared laser and a gripstop attached, ready to tactically reload makes my grandpa cry out in pain. I can hear him screaming from the Hürtgen Forest.

The animations for the guns aren't really good either
They used to be louder in the alpha but in the beta it became quiet due to all the complaints of it being loud. The audio in general

I really liked War mode. Finally a game where everyone would go for the objective instead of people choosing the game mode for easy kills. Besides, it gave a little more touch with history than the other game modes. Storming that beach in Normandy, fearing for your life every second of it hoping that the machine guns in the bunkers wouldnt notice you... It's great.

I remember when CoD World at War came out. They released a video talking about how much detail and effort they put into the weaponry. Everything was authentic and true to life. They had videos of them at a gun range firing all the weapons with microphones placed in different locations and distances so they could maximize the realism of sound effects. They were proud of the effort they took, and I appreciated the work that went into delivering an enjoyable gunplay experience. Time and technology are no substitute for hard work, and common sense. I miss the old days when developers were detail oriented and capable.
And don’t forget that iconic headshot ping. They actually recorded the sound of a hammer hitting a ww2 era helmet. For crisp
I remember them doing that for the old Medal Of Honor games as well. In the Rising Sun one during the credits they showed their guys recording the gun sounds at the range.
I'm not gonna say this is a copy and paste comment, but somebody on another video posted the same kind of comment with the same points as you have.
I think that really shows that authenticity goes a long way, at least for some people.

For example people who have low end pc can play at a steady rate without long waiting times. It’s either that or they are too fucking lazy to decompress the files and want to take 2/3 of you hard drive😂

@@Nick930 Drum mags can't be used on a M1 Thompson. (Which is the model we usually see used in WWII.) Reflex sights were definatley not used in WWII on small arms.

Only thing memorable from War Mode was “THEY’RE BUILDING A BRIDGE”, otherwise it was alright.
Ground War is much better than War Mode, think of it as its son who built on his father’s legacy.
I did all of my Camos on war mode before i played any regular multiplayer and i put 7 days into it while doing those camos lol then i ended up putting another 3 days into war then 20 into multiplayer. I miss that game but i got rid of my ps4 when i got a pc. I have it on pc but it’s not the same.

It feel like a cheap Battlefield rip off.
War mode kept the maps tight and fast so battles felt larger than they actually were which IMO works better as cod is much more tuned for that fast pace combat. Ground War is just a sniper fest.
I think the overall quality of the mw 2019 is still the best in cod history.

Modern Warfare 2019 is by far the best in the series. Honestly, WaW looks horrible now just like it did at launch. I still remember the nightmarish StG 44 from that game. Disgusting!

Snow. Snow is one of the coolest things in a game(when done right). Battlefield 1 ,did it the best I've EVER seen. The snow storm is just absolutely beautiful.
I'm glad I wasn't the only one that was reminded of BF3's close quarters maps with the lovely perminant damage to surfaces (ironically the sun flare too but wirh all the negatives). Also Red Star remindes me a lot of some RO2 maps.
From the Champion Hill beta, Sprint to Cancel Reload is actually an option in the settings that's turned off by default.
Videos like this one do make a difference, so thank you. Sledgehammer and other COD developers do watch these and pay attention to what the mass-majority of its users want. Sledgehammer has already made some massive differences in Vanguard since the very first gameplay footage, so it's really nice to see that they are indeed listening.

This game looks like a mix between MW2019 and WWII. MW graphics and gameplay with WWII sound and setting.

Vanguard has one of the best map lineups we've seen in a cod game in a while. The variety is great, and there's a lot of interesting verticality brought back in a lot of the maps.
I just wish it wasn't so buggy, and that it was Allies vs Axis and not androgenous superhero operators that all look the same on both teams. Underneath all of the bugs and horrendous gameplay choices is a solid cod game, but unfortunately I don't think the devs are up to the task of saving the game after its uninspiring and lackluster launch.
My 2 cents.
I believe that MW vs Vanguard is a better comparison (to see how much did the engine actually developed)
2 things: 1) would love to see Vanguard compared to Battlefield V and 2) Vanguard actually sounds horrendous. Like embarrassingly bad

Sledgehammer Games turned down muzzle flash for the second weekend of the beta to make visibility clearer. It won't be like that in the full game and there is an option to sprint to cancel reload. You need to turn it on in settings just like the previous games.

How do you know they won't keep the less-intrusive muzzle flashes since they're an improvement upon the clarity? I really hope we get the restored muzzle flashes, but I see no reason (from their perspective) to reimplement it if by lowering it they increased clarity.

Vanguard need factions. Without it, it lacks that WW2 atmosphere. Instead it just feels like you're trying to win the match instead of fighting for a cause. Despite all the criticisms, CoD WW2 had atmosphere with the factions which made it more immersive.

I hope War Mode returns from COD WW2 in Vanguard. One of the best modes ever introduced. Honestly looking forward to this game, it looks good and feels good, much better and more polished than Cold War. My only concern for Vanguard is what guns do they release for Season DLC.

Visually it always did look better but gameplay wise, besides those games being shooters, they play very differently. Battlefield has always been that War simulator shooter and CoD has always been an Arcade shooter like game. Both games have always been pretty good in their own right and I plan to get both because I like shooters in general lol

@@thelis4u I would agree with that to an extent. Not fully though. Maps, destructible walls, large scale pvp but not to the extent of Battlefield. The gunplay and gameplay style though is still fast paced despite that. To me though, it still feels like CoD is CoD despite that although I see what you’re getting it. However I never liked comparing the two or saying which one is better or not cause it’s always a back and forth.

Vanguard left a bad taste in my mouth the first hour I played due to connection issues causing the game to be nearly unplayable. I had my xbox right next to my wifi. (I was able to catch footage of it happening) And constantly being kicked from matches right as the countdown reached 1. But I eventually was able to enjoy the game, and I will say I had fun. Would I buy it on day 1, I don't think so unfortunately. The fact they ditched such a good mode like war mode leaves a bad taste in my mouth. It seems new features that give the franchise a fresh breathe of fresh air is abandoned if it strays from the traditional cod formula. Something that feels like it needs something new to keep it fresh. I'm waiting till cod mw2, and will most likely buy BF 2042 since that's something all my friends will be playing.

We view it differently and feel it differently because we are different. No longer ignoring the flaws of the game And no longer feel the sense of wonder we did as kids because we’ve seen it all before.
Not only do we judge and criticize games differently, but we also have access to the millions of minds doing the same thing
No longer trapped in our own little world where the only thing that mattered was us and how many kills we got and challenging our friends to 1v1s.
it was new at the time, things were new, and because of that we were blown away, because when we were younger things were different, but things never stay the same.
And that cause to yearn for what it was before, for that awe inspiring surprising surprise, for the feeling of getting your first kill, your first kill streak, your first win.
We want it to be new again
However the chances are that That will never happen, not because the games are inherently bad and can’t cause a sense of wonder to the right people, just like they did to us when we were younger
But just because it’s a fact.
CoD isn’t new, not to us, not anymore.
So things don’t hit the same anymore, because we’ve already experienced those hits before, time after after time.

2:41 for anyone that wants to know the Germans never used the broomhandle Mauser with a magazine in ww2. The Luftwaffe bought a few thousand but they are all stripper fed and use the old mauser round and not the 9mm luger that was the standard german pistol round

I noticed that in Vanguard the player microphone audio is wayyyy too loud. I would have my TV on half volume and the player chat would be blowing my ear drums to the point where I just muted everyone, before each match started

2:49 Is no one going to talk about that the Machine Pistol is actually a Red 9? The 9mm version of the C96. I didn't even notice that red 9 on the pistol grip until he zoomed in the picture. Also, I'm not aware of the Red 9's being full auto either.

@@Scimon_Scisick In the game, it shoots like a Mauser M712 Schnellfeuer, but it doesn't have that fire selector on the side. You can even see that there's no fire selector on the side of the gun at 2:49. Also, the Mauser M712 Schnellfeuer is 7.63x25mm. Vanguard got it all mixed up, which I'm a little disappointed about. But, I still can't wait for Vanguard to come into Warzone soon.

@@Blackjack773 In the game it's called "Machine Pistol" there is no specific model. Probably red 9 is there because it's distinctive and full auto because it's cool to have full automatic pistol or it's unlockable feature like 40 bullet mag for it. Or they just fucked up. 🙂

COD just needs a damn break at this point. MW’s multiplayer sucked but it did have the amazing attention to detail with the weapons and graphics which were way more up to par with next gen games than expected from the franchise. But sadly the room for improvement was thrown out of the way for Warzone. Cold War was probably the one with personally my favorite stuff such as the campaign and zombies, but it was so clear that the yearly cycle screwed up that game exponentially with the very dated visuals and gun mechanics. And the awful SBMM in the multiplayer was so terrible that it became unplayable. For Vanguard, this game just doesn’t need to exist right now. It’s uninspired, boring and literally the worst out of all the 3 games presented so far. And with BF 2042 on the way, this is literally a friggin joke.

I think we might see a mode related to the war mode or ground war in vanguard. In the bazooka and panzerscheck descriptions, they say they are effective against vehicles, so unless the only vehicles will be that small tank, we’ll see large scale modes in vanguard
The biggest deal breaker for me is Sound design. It feels like you're using toy guns with an ASMR vibe to most of the audio. It tickles your ears but lacks any punch or impact. I only lasted a few matches before uninstalling the beta because of the weak sound effects 😖
As per not being able to cancel reloading you can actually disable that feature in options. Its called sprint to cancel reload or something similar
Feels like they just chugged out a new WWII shooter because they can, with literally no real meaning behind it.
If you’re trying to reload cancel, for one, when the game comes out, turn on sprint cancels reload, and two, you can double tap switch weapon to cancel your reload.

I personally can’t stand how all the automatic weapons sound pretty much the same. Kinda like someone using a typewriter. Just the difference in rate of fire seeming like someone typing either faster or slower. I think the sun glare is a bit much as well. Oh and of course like everyone has mention, the lack of audio such as hearing your enemies footsteps etc.

Well I know one thing Vanguard looks to be running a lot smoother on PC at the moment. I play on the Series X and there alot of issues present which I’ll be writing in as feed back to Sledgehammer games like this weird flickering of the graphics in game which cause this flashing of white and green on screen, very odd, as well as some sort of pixilation on certain maps like the Hotel one when looking at distance objects and when looking through the broken glass near B on domination, then there’s this constant frame rate drops/stuttering during gameplay, which is amplified if you turn off 120Hz in the settings, the gameplay drops to like 4FPS and the graphic quality of the game alters too. Then there’s the terrible spawn killing issue, for some reason the game spawns you in horrendous locations sometimes right in front of an enemy, and it has been all too common through out my play of Vanguard. Then there’s this weird issue where I wasn’t able to get out of crouch by tactical sprinting, it would happen occasionally and very frustrating as it would happen at such random moments when otherwise it would work, and of course the sound, like mentioned in this video I can see now this isn’t just a Series X issue, but it’s very weird as it’s as if all the sound has been lowered in the settings although being on max, and at some times when dying the sound of an explosion or certain gun fire would crank right back up again then go back to quiet, and I noticed when the announcer talked at times the gameplay sound would become muffled briefly. But the one gun I noticed that would stay loudest the longest was the DP-12. Also I’m not sure if this is a bug or a gameplay feature but I noticed when I’d go to cook a grenade I would sometimes get a white trajectory showing me where the grenade will land but this has since disappeared, so I’m not sure if that’s some sort of debugging feature that’s happened to be left on by accident or is supposed to be a feature used in the game.

Sledgehammer's last COD was in 2017. It's been 4 years for them, the longest of any COD so far. And I really don't see what else they could do to improve this. It's really not bad - just a few bugs that they're already working to fix
@@Nick930 yes, but I think the community is feeling a bit burned out of Call of Duty. Look at Fifa and F1. Those games are yearly releases and I dont have to buy a Fifa game every year. I just think it will also be good for Activision, if you think about it. It will only build anticipation and hype. It will work, cause look at Battlefield2042's hype. It was building up since the last BF game from 2018.

@@Koebergboer yes I think that they could have just done dlc for cid modern warfare. And all the studios could together take a few years and make a better game. I think of cod vanguard as a dlc for modern warfare/bocw but with a little bit better graphics and a few Ney mechanics

I don't know what to say about multiplayer, I may like it as usual since I will have more fun with bots. As for the singleplayer campaign, I can't wait to play it, the story mode is my main reason to buy the game.
I am still crying with the amount of cursed combinations you can do with the Gunsmith, you do know that the Stock of the *STG-44 IS WHERE THE RECOIL SPRING IS LOCATED!?!?* I am clawing my nails out with the amount of Inaccuracies of the Guns, also *all Pistols in WW2 were operated 1 Handedly* there were no such things as Tactical nor Speed reloads back then, you just shoot, that's it, you did what you have to do to survive
I completely disagree with beat-up weapons. The weapons were years to months old when used in World War II. You don't dig ditches with weapons, you always take care of them, they must always be clean, but oiled. The best would be a choice between levels of wear, so that people can enjoy whatever floats their boat best.

I played the Beta last night and tbh the experience was pretty Mehh couple decent matches with alot of frustrating ones had no idea where I was getting shot people sitting mounted behind ledges and whatnot not much blind firing though there are a ton of visual bugs and terrible connection issues I can't hear footsteps or tell the enemy team apart Sledgehammer needs to address these problems
The russian winter map is fucked for me because of graphical bugs
New nice coat of paint is not enough.

I’m actually a fan of vanguard, it’s realistic to the point where it feels believable, but still retains that call of duty insanity with all of the zany attachments and modifications.
The way the character holds their mp40 like a fucking M4Aq with an infrared laser and a gripstop attached, ready to tactically reload makes my grandpa cry out in pain. I can hear him screaming from the Hürtgen Forest.
