DieselTechRon's LAST VIDEO

- Details of the accident:
On Tuesday, May 10th, 2016, my Dad left for work from our house in Hemet to begin his 150 mile round trip daily commute to Indio. Early as ever, he finished replying to one last email question before work, kissed my mom goodbye, and got into his 2013 Volkswagen Beetle (a diesel, of course, my dad being a total diesel guru).
Now, I've been on countless drives with my Dad, as you can imagine. My entire family has. After a lot of discussion, we all agreed he always put his seatbelt on during every drive we could remember-- just not always right away. Sometimes he needed a gentle reminder from my Mom, and other times something would just click in his mind, shortly followed by the click of his belt. In all newer cars, such as his Beetle, which would give off a few chirps every 3-4 minutes when the driver isn't buckled in, this delayed-belting tendency of his improved drastically. He would always have his buckle on by the third, and in rare cases the fourth chirp, no prompting from mom needed. His hard hearing from decades of using air and power tools meant he could miss the first couple sets of chirps, as well as his need to tune into the correct talk radio station and make sure his daily Diet Pepsi was situated properly in its cup holder.
My Dad was less than 7 minutes away from our house when he approached the same two-lane bend in Ramona Expressway as a 20-year-old Hemet kid and his little brother travelling the opposite direction. According to the kid's testimony, he briefly fell asleep at the wheel, tired from a long night helping his family move. He drifted over into my Dad's lane.
The Saturn sedan hit Dad's VW at the most unforgivingly catastrophic angle possible. My Dad instantly lost his rear driver side wheel, causing his Beetle to overturn and roll multiple times.
Less than seven minutes from home. One, maybe two chirps max. Just barely shy of the three he needed to ensure his seat belt was fastened.
Ronald Wayne Huxell, the most important man in my life, my role model, a man who touched the lives of so many, more than I ever knew, was ejected through the sunroof of his Volkswagen.
Witnesses to the accident, who waited with my Dad for emergency response, told us he was immediately knocked unconscious. He had a laceration to the back of the head, as well as a broken wrist and hip. However, what prevented the doctors from saving him was severe internal bleeding, brought about by his body being quickly and violently forced through the sunroof. The witnesses told us his face, however, was unscathed and handsome as ever.
The Hospital pronounced him dead at 7:30am.
The 20-year-old and his brother suffered minor injuries, which didn't require medical attention. Their Saturn, when seen next to my Dad's Beetle, escaped so intact I couldn't help but deem it shockingly unfair.

So true
Yea, Ron Helped me fix my Diesel from his Videos. I Hope his family still receiving monetary from UA-cam for the videos he created to help the diesel community.
@@1mw4tch1ng i hope so too
Yes that’s for sure I still use his videos for help
Me too miss you Ron rip
Damn just found this channel... Even after passing away he's still helping people like myself. His legacy will go on! R. I.P.
Your dad Cory is the reason I am the mechanic I am today...I remember sitting in the parking lot of my first job as a diesel mechanic sobbing because he introduced me to world of diesel repair...I own a diesel repair shop now because of how well he made videos and how I took what I learned from him and applied it to every diesel I ever touched. I always think about him and carry him in my heart...I never personally met him but he was such a huge part of my life and learning how to work on diesels and making me probably one of the best 6 liters mechanics in the state of Colorado! Thank you Ron and may you rest in piece! It’s been 4 years and there isn’t a week that goes by that I don’t think about ya!
As a new diesel tech this is what i hope to achieve with my life. As a new father at 30 in a new career im all the way in.
Assuming you're still working on 6.0 PSDs, where's your shop?
Dang it Cory, I'm so sorry brother.
Your dad was a great man for many reasons.
He will definitely be remembered.
Thank you for honoring him and thinking of us to post this.
We just watched your video and we are shocked at the news about you're Dad's accident. Please know we have been following him for a short time because my husband just bought a 2007 F250 .Diesel in January of this year. My husband was a detective for the past 25 years down here in the Texas Gulf Coast area. I'm telling you that so you can see his career required him to solve criminal investigations not automotive diagnosis. That's where your Dad came into our lives courtesy of Utube. My husband's automotive experience has been pumping diesel into his truck and I can testify his automotive experience ended at the pump.
I can't adequately express our gratitude to you and your family for the videos you've Dad made courtesy of Utube. His patience detailed instruction on how to flush a complete cooling system on a F250 Diesel superduty is priceless. We didn't have any idea when my husband bought the F250 Diesel truck that the cost of maintenance and repair was going to amount to thousands of dollars but after the first trip to a Diesel mechanic we found out. That's where you're Dad entered our lives. Neither of us had ever watched Utube so we were unaware of the help that was available to us. So far you're Dad's videos instructed my husband about how to replace the body mounts and now my husband is in the process of flushing the cooling system completely on his truck. You're Dad has already saved us thousands of dollars. We are so grateful for the videos you've Dad made, we are retired now so we don't have thousands of dollars to spend on repairs for the truck. We bought a travel trailer so we can enjoy the time we have left so it's very important for my husband to be able to maintain his truck so it will be mechanical able to safely pull the trailer. So please know how greatful we are for you're Dad's videos and how sorry we are for you're loss.. it's truly a tragic loss. We are Tom and Sandra Honeycutt.
Stumbled on to this channel by accident. Im going to purchase my first tow truck Friday ford f550 and wanted to learn more about it. This has brought tears to my eyes. Im actually going into my sons room to hug him and tell him l love and that I hope he is as proud of me as you are of your father. God bless him.
Ford should make a truck in Rons memory
That would be extremely smart on Ford's part. Anyone in the diesel community knew who Ron was. I also lost my dad this January unexpectedly, so I know what youre going through. He was a major player in the Toyota world actually. Im very sorry for your loss and will continue to pray for you and your family.
for sure a diesel powerstroke in honor of Ron....he helped me save thousands of dollars on my powerstroke forever rip diesel tech ron
Amen
I love this idea. Ford never gave my Dad true recognition during his 35+ years being the top tech at every Ford dealership he worked at. If any Ford guys are reading this, the Huxell Family approves.
+Corey Huxell (basedcorey99) I'm so sorry for your family's loss and I will keep you and you family in my prayers.I bought a 05 f250 6.0l in 2015 with 127k.The EGR cooler failed at 130k well you dad's videos help me fix it myself.I repaired gasoline motors but this was my first diesel repair or even owning one.I will forever be in his debt for his great knowledge. My sincere thanks. RIP Diesel Tech Ron
Your Dad is a great man and in 2021 we still refer to his videos. May he continue to rest in Diesel Heaven and bless your family for sharing him with us.
also 2022..
also 2023
Also 2024
man, it takes some kind of jerk to point the cursor at the dislike button and actually click it
They probably did it, because no one likes bad news.
+James Hibbard I think you are correct James. "If you ain't CAV, you ain't ..."
Well, by that logic, the 2900+ who liked it, like bad news. Doesn't make consistent sense IMO
+rts you have to be able to see it from both angles.
It doesn't matter in the scheme of analytics anyway. Thumbs up/down, comments, all count as audience participation.
What a legacy, still helping me today. Thank you Ron for all you gave to the diesel community. God bless you and your family.
Corey saying sorry doesnt even scratch the surface, your dad was a beast and helped so many people including myself. I pray for you and and your mom and family.
Never in my life have I been on the verge of tears over a video on a tech's youtube channel. Heart breaking.... :(
As a father I am confident he is so proud of the man you've become.
Rest In Peace Ron
Whats up angel cool to see you here love your videos
Cant tell you how Rob has helped me. I’m a 7.3 addict. I love that engine. Ron knew more about that engine than anybody I’ve ever talked to. To Ron’s family, I hope you guys are doing okay. You’re in my prayers.
Hey Corey, I just bought a 6.0 and my first diesel. I came across your dad's channel and watched a few videos. Just came across this one looking for some newer videos. I didn't know your dad but within 30s of watching my first DieselTechRon video, I knew he was honest and passionate. You will see him again, although I am sure he is with you and your family every day. Keep your head up and know that these videos are more than just DIY, they are a journal.
Ron was an awesome Human. I bought a Ficm from my buddy Ron eBay. I didn't have the money for the core charge and he helped me with waving that charge. After that I called Ron many times to help me diagnose other problems with my truck at no cost. we have a petting zoo in new Mexico and with Ron's help we have kept our business afloat. God bless you Ron and Thank you for all your help.
Im getting a decal on my truck that says "RIP DieselTechRon"
That is awesome, God bless
If you get a decal made let me know id like one too. Ron has helped me three times through youtube fixing my f250 since November and I just found out he passed. what a shame. this man spent a lot of his time helping people. He did not need to but did anyway. RIP Ron This world won't forget you
SO SORRY FOR YOUR LOSS. WE WATCH YOUR DADS VIDEOS AT WORK. WE ARE A BUNCH OF HONDA TECHS THAT DRIVE FORD DIESEL THAT DONT KNOW WHAT WE ARE DOING. WE WILL MISS HIS VIDEOS.
I couldn’t relate any more man I know I’m super late but rip to a legend
I just watched one of Ron's videos that covered a question of mine. I saw that he passed while reading some forum threads on the topic I was researching and then searched out how and watched this video....4 years later. I'm sorry for your loss and just wanted to share that he is still helping new people with his videos. Again, so sorry for your loss......
So sorry for your loss. I found your father's channel while trying to repair my Father's 2007 6.0. The truck has been sitting since his untimely death. He went out to get his mail, a Jeep veared of the road, struck and mortally injured him.
Your father's selflessness is helping us in our time of need.
Cory and family When it came to diesel Ron was the guy who kept me from pushing my 2003 f350 off a cliffWords that come to mind. Professional. Honest. Understanding. I contacted Ron and told him I was willing to wait til he had time to work on my truck He put me on The List. He got my truck and undid what a few other less qualified techs did I really enjoyed the small amount t of time I got to pick his brain and listen to him explain I read once that when a person dies it is like a library burning down. Fortunately he has left a legacy in family ,memories, tech videos. He won't be forgotten. He really was a labor of love toward us diesel nuts
Callie Turner i love this reply, sorry to dig up old posts
Cant believe this. Been waiting on his next video, but as ford tech at a dealership i know how close technicians become at work and couldn't imagine losing one of my co workers. I have never met a tech that takes the time to make videos like Ron. Such and honest hard working man, as you said I bought my first 6.0 because of your dads videos. I repaired every part of it by watching his videos and that is what made me want to be a ford diesel tech. And now 3 years later I made it, after many hours on STARS taking ford training courses and attending classes I am ford diesel certified and watched every video on this channel. Im sure I'm not the only one but i will never forget what his videos did for me. Rest in peace Ron you will never be forgotten for what you have done in this community.
really sorry for this lost , I just got a 6.0 250 2004. and learned so much because him, really a good men and honest in his video
That's exactly what I have, he gave me really good advice on repairing my truck , Thank You Ron .
5 years after you've posted this, I've just discovered your father's channel. I've been soaking up his knowledge, experience, and wisdom on diesel motors as I've just bought my first diesel. His relaxed, easy-going voice coaching me through some repairs that I might not have attempted without him. I'm sitting here, looking through his videos on coolant flush instructions, and my heart is breaking a bit after coming across this... You never know how hard this must be, as someone who hasn't had to bury their father, but I cannot imagine the heartache that you must go through daily. Ron has left an incredible legacy for you to be proud of. I think I might give my dad an extra phone call tomorrow, just to tell him I love him. Thank you for having the fortitude to come here and give an explanation to half a million folks worldwide who spent a lot of time with your father, albeit mostly anonymously. I hope that, a handful of years later, you and your family have found some peace in all of this. I wish you and your family my deepest condolences. -John, a new fan of the famed, respected, and legendary DieselTechRon.
Still watching to this day. Your dad shared sooo much knowledge. Thank you and your family for sharing him. God bless.
if i was in a situation like this i wouldnt be able to handle it. you got guts to put this up.. sorry to hear about your father.
Thank you for sharing!!! God bless your Family! you guys make him proud!!!
Just got my first diesel and have just started watching his videos. Its crazy how life is, you never know when its going to happen so just live your best life everyday like this gentleman. Thank you Ron. 🙏🏻
Plenty of guys try to duplicate Diesel Tech Ron and do Ok but Ron could explain things so easily and in a calm and relaxing way. Donated a few times since his passing and will continue every time he helps me with another repair. Least I can do in his memory. Best wishes to the family I hope you are doing well and these small contributions not only help you but remind you of how many people Ron inspired to work on these trucks and feel great after we completed the task.
I just got my first 6.0 and noone is more loved and respected than Ron...God bless..
I cant believe its been 4 years. I still reference Ron's videos whenever I'm unsure of something on my truck. I cant help but feel my eyes well up a bit towards the end of whichever video I watch. Ron changed the world in his own way and I do believe that is the meaning of life.
I hope you all are living well and continuing to spread the values Ron left in each of you. God bless.
I just bought a 7.3 And I would like to thank your dad for helping me and my small business get back on its feet with some of his video's. The internet is a fickle thing, its so easy to take the information and run, but without the power of people like your dad its just a mess of nonsense. Thank you Ron, I appreciate it. RIP
Just saw his video on glow plug system diagnosis. Your dad was a great teacher, he seemed very genuine and well spoken man. He is definitely missed. RIP king.
Mr. Ron's videos help me change my first injector in my 6.0 at the age of 15. I will forever remember him and his videos. I now own my own shop at the age of 18. God bless. Prayers for the family.
Just wanted to stop and say your father was an amazing man. I haven’t had my 6.0 Powerstroke very long and didn’t know anything about diesel trucks before I got it. Will when it broke down I searched UA-cam for all the help I could find. By far Ron’s videos are the most helpful and educational. All the information he has provided is priceless. I donated 50 dollars just now and feel what I’ve learned is worth 10 times that. I will try to donate even more when or if my financial situation improves. Bless you and you family and Rest In Peace Ron.
He is still helping! His videos have helped me multiple ways, I just got into a 6.0 power stroke and enjoy his videos and his personality. Saddens me that he is passed but know he’s still making a difference in someone’s day to day life many years later
I just found your dad. I’m very sorry for your loss. His video’s have helped me more than I can express. Thank you.
I know it’s been a few years since your fathers passing but believe me when I tell you his work is a blessing to many techs in the field.
I am so sorry, I just found this channel learning how to fix my dads 7.3 that he left me after his passing. Rest In Peace Ron
I'm a weekend novice tinkerer with my 7.3 power stroke. Your dad created videos that will live on and help us work on our own trucks. He truly "lives on" and to guys like me, we rely on Ron's videos. His well versed and detailed tutorials give us confidence that we can do things we never would have imagined. I've heard of Ron from other videos on UA-cam which just goes to show the love and respect other mechanics have for a legend. Your dad is not gone; he rides with all of us maniacs that love the sound and smell of our "Big Boy" toys. RIP to a well respected and much loved man.
Diesel tech Ron helped me a lot when I was coming up in the field. I’m grateful for his videos. We never met or even had a conversation but damn he helped my career a lot! Rest In Peace! Love you Ron!
It makes me so sad that your family has lost their dad and husband. I have 53 trucks in my fleet and when we ever had a need I would tell my mechanic to go on you tube and watch diesel tech Ron's videos and he will show you step by step how to fix my 6.0L diesel engines. Ron did the videos in such a way that it made the repairs look easy on these very complex engines. Ron I know you are probably in heaven replacing injectors, coolers and the FICM on God's superduty. Thanks for all you did for guys like me. I did not know you personally but you seamed like a great person. Rest in peace.

The entire world has felt your loss. Thank you and your family for sharing such an amazing man with so many of us. Ron helped me more times than I can count. I know thousands of others can say the same. Ron will forever be missed and always appreciated by more people than we will ever know! Thank you and know your dad touched countless lives with his willingness to help.
Very sorry for the loss of your dad. I am new to the 6.0 powerstroke world and he has already been a huge help to me! His videos are by far the best I've seen, he has left a legacy through his work and more importantly through his family. God bless you all!
I am so sorry what happened to your dad.
I am 72 years old and still miss my dad so much. And to what he meant to this community was priceless.
No one can fill his shoes and will for ever be remember for the heart of gold he had. Thanks for sharing a different part of his life.
Ron's videos are still helping me today. I'm always looking them up for review before working on my trucks.
I'm so so sorry for your lost!!
Our world is not the same without him!!
Iam so sadden of this tragic accident. I too were a Diesel tech for 23.5yrs, but i also turn to your dad for help on some trucks that i fixed at times for extra help. I will miss him and i pray for healing for the family.RIP such a good man i have got to know as the DieselMan on youtube. Thanks for all your help Sir.
He was so gifted and intelligent. He has taught me so much , and i still had more to learn .I had to come back to this video again. Best man ever . An every mechanic should aspire to like him , but no one can be as great mechanic and man as him . I still watch his videos to educate me .Continue to rest easy brother.
Rest in peace Ron. Your videos are timeless. Still watch them for help to this day. The diesel community misses you.
I wish they made more guys like diesel tech Ron! A family man hard worker and very intelligent. Us 6.0 powerstroke owners will forever be gratefull and watch your videos . So you will never be forgotten. RIP and thank you !
Your dad's videos helped me years ago and still do. He was an amazing technician and a huge help to us diesel owners!
So sorry! I’ve used his videos multiple times to work on my truck and never failed me. What a great guy! Sorry for your loss! We all lost on this one for sure!
Just donated to your father’s legacy, know he was a good man while on this earth!
His legacy lives on!
God’s speed Ron!
Just recently found his video's, they are helping me on my 7.3 even after him being gone. Very sorry to hear, RIP. Thank you for all the knowledge shared!
I dont own a diesel, but my son recently bought a used F 550 to haul his excavator. There is nothing wrong with the truck, but i was just training myself on what goes wrong and how to diagnose and repair the issues, just to be of help when the time comes to do a repair on his truck. What an astounding man your grandparents raised your mom made a great choice too. You story broke my heart. Bill Hewitt of powerstoke help . Com mentioned your dad also, i thought that is rare yet commendable and respectful for one diesel mechanic to recommend anothers videos on repair. Your dad touched many lives. I am greatful to meet your family. The emptyness is enormous i had lost both parents, my dad at 18 and my mom at 27 years old. But neither were the examples your mom and dad provided you. May God bless your family. Rest in peace Ron.
I can't believe this. I know it took a lot to make this video, it shows you really loved and had a good relationship with your dad. Even though i never knew Ron personally, having a son do this for his dad would be all anyone needs to know that Ron was a good man. God Bless you and your family.
What an amazing son and family.🙏 I only recently started watching Ron after I bought a diesel. What a valuable human being he was and is. Thank Ron for every word, every breath and energy you used to help us. God bless brother!!
Thanks Cory for taking the time to let us know, I know how hard it is, he was an amazing man you should be proud and im sure he's proud of you and your siblings. RIP Ron.
Cory and family I worked for Ford since 1977 until 2011 when I was injured at work and had to retire. I loved working and to this day love helping others. I recently inherited a 2003 f350 6.0. With problems needing lots of TLC. I came across Rons youtube channel just within the last six months. I couldn't figure out why he was so great at sharing his knowledge about ford powerstrokes but could not figure why he stopped making his videos. I am so sorry to hear about your great loss and our great loss also his videos have tought me a lot about my truck. His legacy lives on. God bless.
Sorry for your loss. I literally rebuilt my 6.0 using Ron's videos. He will truly be missed. He was the best and will never be replaced.
Researching an injector related issue today I find Ron (again) and ultimately this video. Having posted a few of my own "help" related videos, it always amazes me how much content of this nature gets viewed. UA-cam sure had grown beyond a place to plunk family vacation vids. Your dad and people like him helped make the information age what it is evolving into. Thanks to him and thanks to you for letting us know. As someone that's nearly old from many vantage points, I still enjoy my own father's company and can't fathom the weight of your loss. Hey! You can visit the dieseltechron channel and have memories of a good guy. A person who was really all about making lives of people he'd never met...better.
I just found this channel and started reading the comments while the video started and realized the Man in the video, Ron, had passed away. This prompted me to find this page instead of finishing the original video I intended on watching. I have never met this man, but clearly his dedication to the diesel community, his followers and his family is outstanding and admirable to say the least.
Thank you Cory and the Huxell Family for posting this video and keeping Ron's spirit alive through the DieselTechRon channel. I've made a donation and I hope other newcomers will do the same. God bless you Ron.
I did my first 6.0 egr delete and oil cooler change because of this good man.
I just came across one of his EGR videos after searching for a week on whether or not it would be worth it to replace my EGR valve in my 1992 Ford F-250 XLT lariat custom 5.7 V8 gasoline. I by chance found his video on one of the f250 ford forums and I was just getting ready to say screw it and giving up on ever finding an in depth educational explation for me to feel good about finding a resalution for the issues in my ford with out waisting time and bleeding me dry financially. You're dad's videos have so far help me with everything I needed to figure out and so even though I don't have a diesel and it's a gasoline engine he literally was my saving grace. I actually have been sharing his youtube to as meny ford and diy auto repair forums I can find not to mention sharing it to everyone I see everywhere I go. I'm sorry for your loss and my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. His followers and people he's helped and all the new subscriber's like me who he is continueing to help would agree with me that he's still helping I have told people Im sharing his youtube channel with that he is my diy auto repair guardian angel and I truly mean it.
Just stopping by to remind everyone what a great man Ron was. It was my 10 year anniversary with my 2005 6.0. Helped me out countless times. Thank you Ron. We miss you.
Can't believe I'm only finding out about this now. Ron's videos got me through a few tight spots working on powerstrokes. Made me a better tech, helped me make a living for my family. Seemed like a great and talented man. I am sorry for your family's loss.
Damn it Ron, why couldn't you have been driving a f250, RIP Friend.

I had just subscribed too, and got to this video of his untimely death.
I couldn’t have fixed my truck without his video. My truck gets me to work and my son home from school. Such a great guy...
Just decided to maybe buy a 6.0 work truck, came across Ron's channel and found out what was wrong with this truck I might purchase. Then I go to Playlist and find this video and wow! I can see the level of love and dedication to the real working man's life. He helped me with my decision today. Thank you Ron rip 🙏 and thank you.
RIP thank you so much for your work. I am spending this whole weekend watching Ron’s videos during COVID lockdown here in Canada.
Ive worked on my 6.4 with you videos guiding me. Thank you for the time you spent on your videos, and they will still help many more. RIP Ron!
I know I'm late to this, but I'm sorry for your loss. Ron has been a great influence to the diesel community and has saved mine and my friends asses on so many occasions. He will be missed dearly by all of us, but I guess the old man in the sky needed his truck fixed. Rest in peace DieselTechRon.
Ron has given us something more important than saving us money, he gave and still gives us all an education. RIP Ron.
Your father will be truly missed and I have never forgotten to have. I’m driving in my diesel truck I think about him frequently. He was a good man. Thank you for this video and including us saying goodbye. But we will meet again, I truly believe that
Honestly was scared of tearing into my 6.0... he made it seem so simple... really appreciate you keeping his videos alive and in very sorry for your loss. My thoughts and prayers
Corey, thanks for your time and effort to post this very meaningful tribute. Like many other subscribers, I did not know Ron personally, but his many videos (all delivered with his great and relaxed demeanor), really helped me to become a more confident PowerStroke owner. Sorry for your loss - Ron made a difference.
Thank you for the video,. Your dad was an awesome guy. I’m sure you will grow up to be an amazing man yourself. I’m sorry for your loss. He would be greatly missed by all I never forgotten.
you're dad seemed like an extremely generous and outgoing person from all the videos I've watched. I've had several family members pass recently including my dad as well. I feel for you and your family. even though many of us never met him in person, I'm sure we all considered him our friend.
Myself as well. Prayers for both families
Thank you so much for everything Ron. I found all these beautiful things you left behind for us all.
Just bought my first diesel 7.3... I was super happy to have found this channel and then realized Ron is no longer with us 😔😔 your Dad was a great Man helping many.. RIP Ron
Wow! I didn't know all this about your dad, I live less than 5 minutes away from where the accident happened and it broke my heart. On a daily basis my husband and I drive on that road to go to work. I read the story that was written about your dad to my boys on the gofundme, and I cried over his death not knowing who he was. The only thing I knew was he was man who worked hard for his family. God Bless you and your family.
Four years have passed, I'd like to know how Ron's family is doing. I was going through my subscriptions, and came across his channel and this video again.
OMG I'm soooo sorry for your family's loss. I recently found his channel and he was always so very nice and helpful to the community. Such a wonderful man!
Hope it gives you some comfort to know that your dad's videos are still helping people years later and will continue to help for years to come.
So sorry for your loss bro, your dad was an awesome man and taught me and I'm sure a lot of us so much. Can't replace someone like that but will never be forgotten. Rest in peace ron!
Rest in Peace, Mr. Ron. Through these videos, he will be etched in history, forever.
Im so sorry for your loss Corey! I see the pain and Im sitting here finding myself so moved by your dedication to finish your Dads story in this video! God bless you and your family.
Corey, carry the torch for your family and carry on your fathers goodness, a caring man that permeated through his videos. I purchased a FCIM from your Dad and feel honored to have part of your father in my truck. The Lord provided these events not only for life lessons, but a test of faith, and many other aspects. Your Dad's value shows through you and you should be proud of yourself. Continue to raise your brothers and sister(s), be God's pillar for His foundation to your family. Death is a blessing to those whom obtained salvation. Blessings to you and your family.
Naw I dont think this guy is at all like his father i mean look at him...he just people to donate to his father memory
no respect for Ron's family but watch his videos, no one expects his son to carry Ron's torch or love what Ron did, those are big shoes to fill and I am sure you would have to love what you do to be able do what Ron has done.
I am a Ford diesel tech in NJ. I began doing really difficult repairs for the dealer around the age of 19. After long shifts of blood sweat and tears trying to figure out different problems with different trucks I picked up on some of your father's videos and accurate instructions. Let me just tell you, without your father's knowledge I would not be where I am today, I absorbed his knowledge and became a really great technician. He helped me move forward and to a whole different level. He was an amazing person and the best technician I have ever known. I wish I had the chance to meet the man and just simply hear him speak. Just sit down, and listening to him would of been an honor. I won't ever forget this man. RIP Ron
I found this channel today while searching for fixes for a 6.0 intercooler, and it helped me immensely.
God Bless you and your family, brother-man. Your dad is still helping thousands of people to this day, September 7, 2024.
RIP Ron and Thoughts and prayers to you and the family, Cory.
Your Dad was an amazing, intelligent, selfless man. He helped people like me, who needed to fix their own vehicles mainly because they don't have the income to send them off to the repair shop. I did my best to never ask for his help. I watched his videos and figured it out for myself, however, on my last problem I finally had to ask. Right away he responded with some questions, and finally the correct answer. I couldn't thank him enough. When I saw this last video at first I thought it had to be a sick joke. And I hoped i was right, but no it was real. So I had to take some time to reflect on the genius and generosity that was him. I am so incredibly sorry for your untimely loss of such a great man. God bless you all, and your dad will be in my prayers.

Stray strong brother.

Got my first diesel in 20+ years and started working on it... It was almost immediate that I used Ron as my go to expert. I didn't find out he had passed until getting through 6 or 7 videos and procedures on my truck. Then I saw the comments section and the RIP messages. Was very sad to see that even 7 years after his passing.
Know his legacy lives on and he's still helping people!
Till this day, and I remember the day it happened…much love to your Dad. He was the best in the 6.0, and always will be. Great man. Inspirational for many, and his legacy will live forever.
Ron saved me a ton of money and will probably continue to do so. Thank you for the hard work and rest in peace.
