  • In this week's Friday Community Class we're looking at the format of herbal medicine I talk about the LEAST- capsules! I'll share how capsules are part of my clinical practice, when I avoid them, a few reasons I might suggest them, and subtly sneak in my preferences for other formats. Enjoy!

    Favorite format:
    1. Placing herb/s on my heart chakra
    2. direct contact with them/touching them

One of my favorite things about herbs is the smell. I have the sense of smell of a bloodhound. lol Walking into an herb shop or touching herbal leaves and smelling them on my hands is one of the most pleasurable things for me. Its very therapeutic! I have never been a proponent of "pill popping" of any kind. I try to eat or drink my medicine when possible. I just feel more connected to its healing abilities that way.

Totally agree. Pills can be so handy, but whenever I can really dig all my senses into the plants I find the process to become a ritual of magic and medicine.

Tincture for me as I really cannot drink teas. I don’t like the taste and I useless at swallowing pills.
Plus tinctures are easy to make and excellent for storage.
