Workers hitting gas lines near home explosion has neighborhood on edge

If the gas company approved the dig why is it on the broadband company. The gas company should know where the lines are

The Gas Co. does not approve of the dig, they respond for request to mark there lines within a construction zone. It is the contractors responsibility to hand dig and expose all substructures. If not there then they are required to call back again.

should but hen its an OLD line sometimes the location of those were not marked well or were lost, someone comes along to find buried lines and screws up thinking it's awater line or sewer line instead and marks it as such

@@HobbyOrganist It is the contractors responsibility to keep the marks fresh ! If the contractor has not been onsite for 14 days they have to re one call the the work area.
