For those who have no idea, this are items that was sold to the USA but was cancelled or returned for some reason. The sellers manufacturer is in another country most likely in china and it cost much to return it back. What happened is they pay someone a few thousand bucks, to receive all of this, serving as the ‘warehouse in USA’ but really just a person with an extra lot. then they pay someone to repack the package, then send it to amazon warehouse to be sold back again
That sounds logical, and very disturbing...image buying something that sat around in some yard our with possibly rats, bugs and bad weather...really gross thought!

A few hundred bucks ? U can find storage for $20/month. With a little bit of research, he could find smth affordable. Doubt that storage is the main issue here.
The longer you keep things in at Amazons warehouse the more you pay so it's cheaper to send back somewhere and then ship it back under a different companies name. I worked for a Chinese guy out in San Diego for a year and granted he didn't have to ship stuff back to some random house as he had a warehouse there. We did this constantly to save a few bucks. Now if the items that needed to be shipped back we're pretty worthless or not a high return we'd have Amazon destroy
Don't worry lady! After people from other neighborhoods/towns see this video, there won't be any packages left on that lawn. Actually, my bad, you should be worried, since a lot of thieves will be coming to your neighborhood.
Hey lady, don’t be concerned with selling your house, if a neighbor can have thousands of Amazon Packages 📦 out & no one is stealing anything, your home is in one hell of a safe neighborhood.
Seems safe for sure. But don't you got to sign for packages in the USA Amazon ?? If I am not home to sign , I gotta arrange redelivery within 5 working days.
I caught the part where the announcer said that in the end that the packages will be " sent back to Amazon " for resale! Now, how happy would YOU be if you ordered something and it showed up in the condition of these packages? Something very odd about this story of possession of Amazon goods.
It’s when the Chinese sellers have inventory in US warehouses and get banned. They can either have it thrown away or shipped to a warehouse where they will then re-barcode it and sell as a different seller. But the these major Chinese sellers don’t want to ship it all the way back to China and then back to the US, so they make a deal with someone in the US that will do it for a commission.
I saw a video recently where the woman bought mystery boxes from Amazon. I forget the wording, but it is made clear that these boxes contain returned ( and possibly used) merchandise. Anyway, she opened 2 or 3 large boxes that were full of mostly low-end junk.

@suki suki This is an interesting angle. I hadn’t thought about it like that. You could be right. They could have thought this was a great way to make money working from home during the pandemic and went all in on it. You’ve presented an interesting possibility.
@suki suki Yeah. My comment was in the vein of if they’re being scammed I can see how that’d happen given the current conditions. But to your point, the utter disregard for care is definitely a big red flag that they’re, at minimum, a willful participant in some fuckery; if not the brain.
I was thinking the same thing . Get someplace to store them … or maybe this person was a great reviewer and that it’s Christmas time they want their packages reviewed ? I remember reading so many people’s reviews and they purchase nothing . Everything gets sent to them free . Not a bad gig you can’t honestly try everything out .what Ever they don’t get around to testing list it online and sell it and pay a person to do the job and perhaps donate the rest to needy families .. there is always a way to use what you have been blessed with to give back to others not so lucky
It could be fulfillment by Amazon damage/ return items. I used to work for a third party retailer and you can have damaged items returned. Amazon charges the sellers a disposal fee for damaged/ returned unsalable items. Amazon then packages those items up by the shipping container and sells it at auction. ( Off point but it always ticked me off on that they double/ triple dipped and the seller takes a power wash) the thing is the damage returns * can* still be of value but they need sorted and gone through. You wouldn't believe what boardgame parts, videogame manuals, case art, damaged pop figures and good condition boxes gora for. I could see that being the case here. Literally cheaper to pile the boxes up and let thieves take them all than to either have Amazon dispose of it or pay for a dumpster pickup.

Maybe some kind of Chinese money laundering operation, but as long as there isn’t food in the boxes attracting pests or lightweight boxes blowing around, I wouldn’t care. Amazon hasn’t shut it down so whatever it is must technically be legal.
Amazon runs a fulfillment center that holds, packages and distributes your product for a percentage of the sale. They run on an annual contractual basis, this is not some nefarious Chinese Triad money laundering operation =) Amazon must free up space plus the consigner is paying for those cubic feet every month, a lot cheaper to put em in uncle Bob's yard for the time being.

Don’t use for greed, corruption, and power. Because it’s a source of evil. This is why materialism and bad habits are a problem…
I want to know more about this “contract” because that whole situation sounds hella sketchy! Is Amazon claiming losses and then re-aquiring the materials to also sell? Or claiming them on insurance and then reselling them? I’m just saying... sounds like a scandal.
So they said these are canceled items and the sellers are in china. So if they return it, it cost a lot more then they paid basically. So they send it to the warehouse or persons house. They then repackage it up and send it back to a local Amazon for them to resale the items and they get paid

I believe this scam is called "brushing." But it's usually or used to be a package delivered to any random customer who didn't order it. This is a scam for the seller to write fake reviews for higher product ratings, thereby manipulating buyers into buying a product that has otherwise low ratings or not marketable. The seller also swaps a pricey product for a cheap one. For example, last year around holiday season, we received a case of soda we didn't order. And that's how we learned about this scam. Looks like in this case, the seller sends to only one address. And the seller actually has a contract with the owners to use their property? It's illegal. It should be reported to Amazon, which is supposed to do something about it. This case is extreme, verging on "illegal dumping" or some sort of citation if it were another city.
What the hell kind of response did the homeowner give? That makes no sense. Not in my township they would tell me to get a storage bin or get fines for everyday that my yard looks like this
That's why I give the finger to HOAs 🖕 Its my property and I'm free to do with it as I please so long as I'm not hurting anyone else (except their eyes and property values 😂).
This would never happen in my neighborhood. No package remains in anyone's front yard more than five or ten minutes without being stolen. It's actually much like that in most of the city. This is why we have over 100 Amazon hub locations in a city of 115,000.

This would never happen in my neighborhood. No package remains in anyone's front yard more than five or ten minutes without being stolen. It's actually much like that in most of the city. This is why we have over 100 Amazon hub locations in a city of 115,000.
Damn where do you live?
Let me guess, Democrat ran city?
This all sounds like some kind of fraud/scam.
@Ralph Depino Or San Francisco.
@@Waldo1122 Yes. Because every problem in the world is caused by democrats. Cancer? Democrats. Crime? Democrats. Dying of old age? Democrats. Genocide? Democrats.
Well now that you’ve made this pretty public I would imagine that the package thieves will be arriving in droves so I say to the neighbors don’t worry now that you’ve got it on social media the amount of packages should start dwindling pretty quick
Bet the neighbors were thinking where are the porch pirates when ya actually need them. Lol.
@@katcheson82 Probably the case here. Maybe they'll burglarize a few of their homes while they are still in town.
let's hope so!!!
The people with the mountain of boxes in their yard were visited by a district official and told they had to get rid of the boxes. They have two weeks.
LOL
So glad to see this is the kind of fulfillment you'll be able to expect from Amazon going forward. Can't wait to receive my "2 day shipping" in a week and a half, after it's sat out on someone's lawn for 5 months.
Hell. The boxes show up early. The drivers' job is to deliver. What fools buy things not free returns. Where do the owners buy their food? Deliveries?
@@g-a-i-l- what did you just try to say?
@@skrimper bwaha right?
wait… are you shocked? you’re genuinely shocked that the company owned by the richest man in the world, who still does minimum wage and has had multiple DIE on shift… doesn’t care about your hard earned cash? weird. its almost like he doesn’t need your 10 dollars.
Is there an update to this story? Did the house get buried with these packages?
I couldn’t care less, let people live. - Best neighbour ever
Yeah let your neighbor ruin your proptery value, also known as costing you tens of thousands of dollars in property loss or more, because their house looks like a mess..
It must be great living off “free” checks from the government and leasing an apartment or lviing in your parents basement which you can just destroy without consequence. You never have to think about the difficult things in life. Life must be easy when you are so simple minded.
@@dontbestupid6664 nah he chill
I was a good neighbor to a hoarder...then the smell and roaches came...
@@dontbestupid6664 sounds like you don't know how property values work
He actually say "I could care less" which implies that he cares quite a lot.
I'm sure some get stolen but there's such a crazy amount that it goes unnoticed.
Also the fact that the neighbors packages gets delivered there is pretty awful for them.
if they send them back to Amazon to sell then it's pretty bad that the product is just sitting there in the weather especially rain and possibly getting damaged anyway.
Good ol fedex morons for ya. Can't even bother to read an address, just "well it's the right street"
@@herculesbrofister265 Amazon has their own drivers and they do this all the time
@@otallono i dont mind at this point. Amazon ALWAYS delivers my packages to different houses in my neighborhood. I say i never got the package, get a refund, then go knock on the persons house and get my free package back.
Or they just saying that so they can help themselves to some free packages. Lol
I know it happens but not all the time like she said.
Love how she says their packages get left there so her husband has to go get them…. I’m betting that’s what they say when they’re just grabbing a few for themselves.
From what the reporter said, it sounds like the family said okay to a friend to send some packages there not knowing what it meant. More than likely the friend is a seller based in China but needs a return address in US in order to sell. Looks like those are returns.
That makes the most sense.
That makes sense . They should sell it or give it to charity every week
If you look closely, the packages have the original amazon tape still intact and are delivered by amazon. So not returns but scam go mske their Sales higher
The video literally said the person was in china. 2 minutes is 2 minutes too long for most peoples attention span it seems.
Yep, returns - and then possible resell, either liquidate by the pallet, or ship back to the amz warehouse.
This is the equivalent of not mowing your grass and letting it grow out like a foot. It looks messy and dirty and brings down the value of the house and those around it. Do you really want to move somewhere where the neighbors don’t take care of their yards? No, it’s messy and unappealing. Most importantly, as I mentioned, houses with dirty yards bring down the values of houses in that area, it’s real estate. You are devaluing your neighbors houses. Very disrespectful. Amazon should not be sending those packages to an individual house.
Whats wrong with it? Its nature, its supposed to be messy, grass growing everywhere. TF is wrong with you, prefering materialistic things over nature. Very disrespectful, what a head full of turd.
Living in a rainforest climate all my life, this is unimaginable. I'm shook that the boxes are still boxes.
@big merv close, am Indonesian. Either way it's just impossible for those boxes to stay boxy around here.
Exactly
Never rains there? Put up huge spotlights on that house, anything obviously goes there. Put some cameras on them. Do the story yourself. Give it to some outlet that will take action. Sanitation? Bunch of yahoo representatives enjoying their neighborhood. Who stands around and let's this happen. Fill out a change of address form and send the boxes somewhere else. It's easy to research sellers on Amazon. C'mon class.
Wow I’m shocked there are no porch pirates. Wth are they buying heck out wish I was theyre neighbor
probably too many to steal.
Someone should contact all the package pirates and tell ‘em to come on over to get it cleaned up!
Too risky in daylight, there is at least 1 neighbours looking disgusted at the eye sore.
And during nighttime you need a really good excuse for the police when they stop you with an Amazon package.
@@mathgasm8484 "too many to steal" buddy all it takes is 2 trucks and a nice quiet night and those boxes are gone. even if they don't grab them all that's a good amount of profit
You wish you were their neighbor? So you could steal their packages?
My thoughts were more about the packages and damages to them, as well as the mold/fire hazards depending on how humid/dry that location is.
It would also attract bugs and rodents. Good times.
It’s very humid in Tennessee!!! Trust me, I live in Tennessee!!!!!!!!
Fire hazard? Come on
You're the type to call the news. Mind ya business!
With them being piled up each day the fire hazard becomes more of a reality the closer it gets to the house, and the packages are surrounding the house 🤦🏽♀️
Did he ever get rid of those packages? What’s the follow up?
It sounds like they're either running a scam or are hoarders.
Sounds like a scam. Whenever their friend’s contract expires, the packages get redirected?
RIGHT! I'm like omg am I the only one who heard that part?!?!?!
Right?
Why do you have to wait until it expires?
They are serving as a warehouse for Amazon.
A few years back there was an investigative report that explained such a scam. It was a little complicated and awful. I wish I could remember the details to share. This is a Federal matter (unlike the protesting parents matter).
@@siddasloth3292 They are actually serving as a third party warehouse for their friend who has the contract with Amazon. This “ friend “ more than likely has a lot of people doing this and making a percentage off the top.
"I could care less, let people live". BEST. COMMENT. EVER.
🙌🏽
By a guy who clearly doesn't care about the value of his property, which is diminished by shitty homes in the area.
So nobody said whats going on, is someone ordering this many things, or is it some Amazon error? What's happening?
