  • Ever notice how some hats have cord on them? In this video, we "uncap" history - from military campaign cords, to vintage trucker hats, all the way up to modern snapbacks and baseball caps. Then we show you how easy it is to recreate the look using Paracord!
    🧵 SUPPLIES:
    -550 Paracord in Marigold Yellow
    www.paracordplanet.com/marigo...
    -550 Paracord in White
    www.paracordplanet.com/paraco...
For the hat, scissors, needle, thread, and lighter, you can use whatever you have at home.
NOTE: We only used one stitch on each side of the cord to attach it to the lining of our hats, but you can use as many stitches as you'd like for extra durability.

I’m trying to figure out how to tie an adjustable paracord strap on my fly rod tube so I can shoulder it or clip it on my bag on a smaller loop.

How about a video recreating the referenced-pictured "1935-1945, hat bands" with the barrel and acorns ?

I don’t know how this trend even started. I just started seeing hats with cords out of nowhere

I tried this with my hardhat but the needle wouldn't penetrate it; I thought you said any hat?

That we did. Any idea what kind of fabric the hat is made of? Maybe we could find a thinner or thicker needle.

There's a simple but useful idea here and decent technique. The presenter is pleasant and competent. But the sound problems make it difficult to follow and the lack of closeups on the stitching do not help.
Re the technique, fastening stitches - perhaps individual loops - along the cord might also be considered.
I might try this, but I do think you need to review how this was filmed, miked and edited if you want to increase your viewership and likes. Take a look at some of the embroidery channels on YT, where much more complex techniques a explained more clearly.

You either need a better mic or you need to get closer to the camera. Food for thought.

It’s a well produced video. I think she’s using the mic from the camera to pick up her voice instead of having an external mic

Please get rid of the background music - it's loud and annoying and completely covers up the audio for the instructions.
