You don't have to run a separate rca cable just disable the stock camera. They sell adapters and replacement plugs for the stock camera plug in the back. This is more a suggestion as it does take more effort and time to run that cable
The reason for running a separate RCA cable is because I’m running an aftermarket Camera. Instead of running my stock camera with an aftermarket Radio. The stock camera has very poor resolution with an aftermarket radio. That was my original set up but the picture quality was not good with stock camera. So in this video, I’m showing how to run an aftermarket camera to your aftermarket radio.
@@RonDIYModsis that not possible to use the original wire from the stock camera? I would assume it's still an AV cable, so if you manage to find the right end next to the radio, you should still be able to plug it with some soldering on both ends.
Hi I am about to do one on my 2013 Caravan, just wondering if it is possible to utilize your oem backup camera wiring for this aftermarket install. Thanks for the videos.
Hello. As far as the power yes but video signal I don’t think so. But if you fallow what I did in the video. You won’t have a problem installing an after market camera.
Hi I have a 2018 white caravan with the same aftermarket radio. I don't mind the distorted picture please let me know how you connected the factory camera to the after market radio. I try the retention cable from Amazon but it did not work.
Hey Ron. Just installed my radio today but I'm having trouble with the rear view camera. I routed the cable through the side on the floor and don't have long enough so I'm gonna be needing an extension to reach the back of the radio. I'm also having trouble with the connection. How did you connect ACC to G3 ACC ? G3 ACC seems to reroute itself directly to the canbus. Do I just tap in into that wire ? I was not able to see that part in your video. Thank you for your answer.
Hello. If your doing the same set up as me than you grab power and ground from the lift gate wire me as shown in the video. Behind the Teyes unit all your connecting is the yellow video wire no need to attache any ACC wire. If you keep getting trouble hit up in Instagram and I can help further

Hey, which wire does the red wire that sticks out by yellow male connector connect to on the radio? Also do I wire the short red one to rear back up light hot wire too? Thank you for any help!
You need the adapter to make it work with the aftermarket radio. You can’t just hook up. The aftermarket radio doesn’t come with the port for the OEM plug.
This is what I needed for my moms van! Thanks!!!! 😊
You are so welcome!

I was looking at the new 2k model. Is the Jeep Grand Cherokee the one to pick to work with my 2014 Dodge Grand Caravan?
Thanks

Why not reuse an existing camera cable? It's already there, just hook in.

@@RonDIYModswhere can I buy that adapter instead of installing a new camera?
@@saedqatoum8495 if your van comes already with the OEM camera, you can use this cable amzn.to/3BjFnrA
Thanks for your job.
