@@nintenmetro I just bought The Incredible Hulk, Spider-Man: Homecoming, Far From Home, and No Way Home. Now you’re telling me that Homecoming will be on Disney+?
4:29 if you pause it on Strange’s watch, you can see the date of his car accident. February 2nd, aka Groundhog Day. Very apt considering he saves the world with a time loop.
@@testfire3000 Yep yep, I had hand surgery around the time this movie came out on Blu Ray so I watched it a lot while recovering. I think the director mentions that detail in the commentary and it stuck out to me because Groundhog Day is one of my favorite movies and February 2nd happens to be my birthday. It's one of my favorite subtle Easter eggs of all time.
Fun fact, Benedict Cumberbatch was first offered to play the villain Malekith in Thor The Dark World, but he turned down the offer, and this would lead him to get the role of Doctor Strange. Another fun fact, Benedict Cumberbatch learned the finger tutting from dancer JayFunk, and the Beyoncé reference was actually unscripted, but it actually made it into the movie. Also, Benedict Cumberbatch provided the uncredited role of the entity Dormammu.
Smart of him to turn down the Malekith role. Dr strange made his career (as if it wasn’t already made with Sherlock though), Malekith and The Dark World may have changed everything for him.
it was definitely smart because he knew they offered him a villain who would be a one off role so he most likely declined hoping they would ask again for another character.@@Andrew.Grabowski
Strange was in a tux during the accident because he was heading to the speaking engagement that he, in the scene before, was just inviting Christine to. Which prompted discussing Christine's policy of not dating co-workers anymore.
Yes, doctors do like to play music in the OR's. I remember that 2 of the 3 doctor's we had played their own type of music, sometimes letting the OR techs pick the music. It's mostly to pass the time, because some OR's can get very quiet, only the machines going on.
I suspect it's also to help keep them focused during the less mentally taxing parts of procedures. I know, for myself, if I'm driving alone in my car, I have to have music playing. It occupies enough of my brain so that the rest remains content to focus on driving. (If I _don't_ have music on, my less-occupied mind uses its "free bandwidth" to ponder other things. My thoughts wander, and I soon realize I've been driving without really paying attention to what I was doing.)
Emme always has at least one deadpan comment that is absolutely hilarious - for this movie it was “I don’t think that normally happens in Hong Kong, but I’ve only been there once, so who’s to say?”
Fun Fact: the cloak's name is Cloak of Levitation. It got the Carpet treatment from Aladdin and gained sentience [I can't honestly remember the cloak moving on it's own, other than flowing dramatically, in the comics]
Dr. Strange does not fix his hands even tho he could because it would tempt him to going back to be a surgeon and his old life, its a scar to remind him of all he has overcome.
Yeah not sure why she was asking that question as he was talking to Christine about it less than 2 minutes earlier in the movie. She must not have been paying attention I guess; the usual complaint I have with many reactors…
@@LaxJedi Yeah, many reactors don't listen enough to the dialogue because they're talking over it. Like you said, they had just talked about it a minute or two beforehand.

The easiest way to understand the "Inception parts" is that the characters are teleporting from one place on Earth to another by folding space and walking the shortened distance. The weird folding buildings is how our brains interpret visual information from a dimension where time and space don't synch properly. People in the real world only perceive travelers when the two places intersect.
They do play music in some cases during procedures. I had an endoscopy done and when they put me under they were playing Dean Martin. When I woke up it took me a minute to realize that it had switched to Frank Sinatra.
This movie is happening over a year long time period. Strange's car accident occurred in February 2016 and he became sorcerer supreme in 2017. That means since Kaecilius stole the pages from the book he did nothing with them for over a year.
Fun fact : the scene where Rachel McAdams (Christine) jumps because of a broom that falls on the ground behind her was not scripted... It just really happened, and they kept it in the final cut.
This movie always makes me long for the epic team up of "Loki" and "Dormammu." It spanned several comics and culminated in an epic battle with an "Avengers/Defenders" team up to defeat them. It was just a warmup.
Welcome to my first Marvel character. What I mean is Doctor Strange was the first comic I ever read cover to cover as a kid. Now, the first fight with the Ancient One and Kisilus was in the Mirror dimension. This is why no one noticed the fight.
"When does Doctor Strange get a relic?" - emme He gets a wearable relic a few minutes later, in New York. It's name is the "Cloak of Levitation". You've heard of smartphones and smart watches? This is a smart cloak.
actually he might not have been able to do better. Someone pointed out once Strange isn't the kind of surgeon who worked on issues like what happened to him
You asked if Strange's hands still hurt and why he wraps them. He damaged the nerves in the crash. This is why they shake when he tries to do any fine manipulation. The reason he wraps them is I would guess his hands always feel cold due to the nerve damage. I got marfan syndrome, so I can relate to that.
Why do you call it "fake info?" Yes, it's a supposition, but it is based upon both the similarity in cases and the tendency for the MCU films to make references and call-backs to others, but perhaps even more importantly the idea is never explicitly contradicted. It's not "fake," it's simply a theory with which you disagree.
@@submandave1125 I called it fake, because it is. The man that was injured was 35 year old marine colonel. Rhodey is not a marine, he's a member of Air force in his late forties, at best.
