  • The Worx Wx038 stick vac is an amazing offering from Worx, giving full Worx quality along with the Worx 20v max power share battery system, inside the box you will find a ac adaptor, wall mounting plate with vertical hoover storage, and a slot to charge the included spare battery simultaneously as well as having a cool way to store the included 3 optional nozzles to give you complete control over your cleaning. With long crevice nozzle, soft wide brush with retractable sheath and a silicon toothed pet hair brush too. The powered head features 25w rotating brush head with quick one touch release mechanism to easily clean and an ultra low profile 50mm height to really get in and under those hard to reach places with ultra bright LED lights you can really see the dirt too, it will also go down to 0 degrees to enable a humongous range of movement. in use practical use the hovers 3 power functions ensure you get the right amount of power delivery, on hard surfaces level one easily picks up the dirt and even larger clumps of debris you are likely to encounter, level two allows more ferocious suction to get up pet hair on short piled carpet and any stubborn dirt not picked up on power level one, level three is there for the harder stuff, long shagpile carpets and give the full 25KPA suction level that this hoover can deliver, it does however take the 40 minute potential run time right the way down to 15 minutes, a small price to pay for one of the best section powers on the market! of course if you already own any of the 2ah, 4ah, 5ah or 6ah batteries, then they can slot on in and keep you going all day long for those really intense deep cleaning sessions. emptying the 0.55l dirt cup is simple and very easy, inside you will find a stainless steel filter screen and also a HEPA (High Efficiency Particulate Air) filter - you get a spare one of these too so you can wash and have one drying whilst using one at the same time! genius! it weighs just 2.1kg yet does feel slightly weird when first using it as the battery is directly under the handle it kind of feels weighty(?) its kind of hard to explain but is because the rest of the unit is so light that the battery becomes the centre of mass, though now i hardly realise it at all, minor downside is it could do with a slim power head for doing stairs maybe? other than that overall this is a firm strong product and certainly a worthy addition to your Worx collection at only 75db it is rather quiet too.

My wife caught me using our $500 Dyson cordless vac in the garage, needless to say, that didn't go over very well. So I went out looking for a pre-owned Dyson and even they were all over $200. Having just bought some WORX lawn gear with the 20V battery system, I stumbled on the 20V Cordless Stick Vacuum. So I will buy a new one (tool only) for my garage. Thanks for confirming my choice.

Thanks for the review Mike. For a lightweight vacuum, using PowerShare batteries, it seems quite competent. Your wife did seem to struggle with the design on occasion, needing two hands for control, but I guess it is all down to familiarity. At its current price point I think it is a good buy.

I think it is the same with anything, once you are used to it it will be easier, the steering takes some getting used to, as does using the heads correctly, I think we just get complacent with cettain designs of things and sometimes struggle with change. Give it a few weeks and it will be second nature. Its just dropped in price too!!

How is the brush with getting hair tangled in it, and how do you clean it?

It has real easy one touch removal, small keyway on the base, flick it open and the brush and one end cap pulls straight out, super easy, it has spiral cut outs to run scissor blades or the hilt of a knife down to clear it off, though generally speaking it's only real long human hair that ends up wrapping round the brush.

It does not seem to be doing that well tbh. The Gtech multi or even my shark cordless looks like it could do a better job especially on the stairs. I think the ommission of a small power head is something to worry about as that is perfect for cars, stairs and upholstry. Maybe Worx can release one as a optional extra ?

Have you ever used anything other than a two amp battery on this because I have a four amp Worx. I tried to ask a couple times on Worx website but no one can really give me a straight answer. I ended up ordering it anyways and I’m just gonna try and see if 4 Ah will do it.

I have used a 4ah and a 6ah, they both fit and work, are rather heavy on the unit and compromise that ultralight feel - honestly the battery feels like the heaviest part - this weight is then doubled with a 4ah and a 6ah pack (weirdly they weigh similar weights - see my battery video for more details) the only down side is they don't fit in the upright charger slot with the 4ah pack however it does fit in the above charging slot though if you own a 4ah pack you likely own other worx tools so have a stand alone fast charger so this really is a matter of minor inconvenience.

@@mikesptworld thank you for your reply. I’m glad to know that the other battery amps works. I have nitro share and I mostly have 40v 4ah batteries. But I also do have some 20V 2ah powershare ones too.
I’m excited to try it. I’ve been using a handheld that only lasts for 20 minutes. I actually spend more time charging it than using it. The one I bought from worx is just the tool only because that’s the one that was on sale. I have more than a couple chargers and a few of the 4 Ah/2 Ah so I think I’ll be covered.

    Not the best but works.
    Why one star?
It clearly states on the housing that the filter must be replaced every six months. But (BUT!!!) you won't be able to find that filter anywhere including worx's own site. In other words, it becomes unusable pretty soon.
