I wouldn't use the any of the brushes on the paint. Ever! I have one of these, without the water attachment, and its great for cleaning but I would never use it on my vehicle except for the wheels and possibly the bed.
Not a chance I'm putting a scrub brush on my nearly 40 year old BMW. Entire car still looks like new. My LIKE is for the channel, not the tool (the rye-obi one)😉 THANKS Clint!
I used this on my garage floor this weekend to get the salt marks off. Easier than a pressure washer and did not spray all over the drywall. It also did a nice job on my heavy “water hog” style mats. And you can get more heads for it. Including a micofiber one
I have the original version without the soap dispenser. I use solely on my rv roof, which cleans it so much easier than a scrub brush, and it saves your back. I can do the whole 40-foot roof, and both slide out roofs with a 6ah battery, and it's not even halfway drained.
This one is "kinda 'nas like" Thanks for the tireless hard work that you do educating on all us on these here Ryobi not Riobi products. Here's one for the alogrithm!
The best tool for keeping your vehicle looking great is “the absorber” it removes water like a boss and all the dirt that would scratch your paint can be shaken off. I power wash to remove the biggest stuff and the absorber gets the small stuff. It also doesn’t leave watermarks and if there was any it scrubs them off. I do small sections at a time. Fold and squeeze the water out and then shake the dirt off. You can also power wash all the grime and oils off and make it look new again. I get compliments on my hummer all the time and my hummer is black, the hardest to keep looking nice.
If someone is complimenting you and you drive a Hummer they are being sarcastic. Furthermore, the Absorber is designed to remove water from the vehicle after you have washed it, they aren't designed to be used to wash a vehicle. Doesn't anyone know how to properly wash a car anymore?
You need to use the soft BLUE brush heads if you’re going to use it on a vehicle. I have the Ryobi scrubber and it works great on our camper and on our boat.
As someone who owns older vehicles, and owns zero ryobi, I would buy this. Been seriously considering the dewalt power washer as I don’t have to attach a hose. But the dewalt doesn’t have. Scrubber. I dunno. Thx for the vid, info, and options. Thx
I have always wondered about these scrubbers. I also own a full-size pickup truck that almost never fits in a normal car wash. With a lumber rack, might I add. So this scrubber would be a great option. But...... long pause.... I have to agree that it seems more work than its worth. A smaller vehicle would be easier to wash with that but so is paying a monthly fee that I literally use every day. Sometimes, twice a day. I have been paying the same rate for 5 years. I got the basic wash for $20 a month. When they raise it I'll consider doing it myself. As far as the truck goes, it's an old truck so the rain does good enough unless I really want to go crazy and use my hands.
Ryobi sells 10 different brush heads 3 different microfiber car washing heads. The head you are using is for general outdoor use patio furniture, siding, even concrete but absolutely not your car.
The problem as many have said is the dirt on your truck or any vehicle is abrasive. I pressure wash, then soap cannon and then rinse. You don’t want to take a chance that you will scratch your paint. While this is cool it will put micro scratches in your finish which will eventually show.
What car wash allows you to take your truck through? I wish the ones by me (Crews) would allow my lifted Jeep (4" lift on 35's), cuz the winter is hard on the undercarriage.
I have this scrubber except the one without the soap and hose attachment. The yellow brush is the medium and I would NEVER use it on a vehicle. Even the blue soft brush IMO is too harsh for the paint job and clear coat. I cringed and my blood ran cold when I saw you using it. Once you dry it, let us know if you have a truck full of swirl marks 😮😮 As one of the other comments stated, there is a pack with a variety of auto pads/cleaners…
I would change the pad to the ones that are made for polishing... I use that brush to clean the tile in my shower cause it is pretty rough and cleans well... I can only imagine the end result... Thanks by the way.
This would have been great after that *very nice SUV driver* tried passing around me using a right turn lane and proceeded to distribute the deer carcass that was in said turn lane all over both of our vehicles.
This is too awkward to fuss around with. Just a standard manual car mop with the microfiber mop head on a long wooden broom handle is far better. I will continue to use the standard mop and save my $100+. This puppy is over $100 at Home Depot. (It’s listed at $149.00 today.)
The concept actually looks pretty cool however the brush itself looks very small in size and extremely abrasive but the design of Ryobi being that it's battery powered and being that it has telescoping and angular reaching abilities this does make it pretty cool
Wow that's a pretty good video I need that for the love bugs here in Florida. Question did a charger on UA-cam, also what was the price for that Ryobi wash brush. I would definitely like to have it for my truck I would definitely check home Depot and Lowe's tomorrow and see if they have it in stock.
Ever noticed how in those car detailing videos brushes are ONLY used on the tires and engine bay? And ONLY the softest of brushes are used for the interior.
What they should do is give you a velcro attachment this way maybe you can hook up a microfiber brush head this way you can give your truck some sweet sweet Lovin. Yeah we all know you peed your pants I tried to blame it on the hose.🤣🤣
Isn’t that brush too strong I thought it would damage the paintwork on the car? I bought the same machine I used the sponge pad head instead of that one your using
Looks like a pretty nice tool, but definitely the blue scrub brush for vehicles, I have the tool that doesn't supply water, but they're the same brushes, and the yellow one is definitely scratchy medium.
I would be nervous about using that on the clear coat. That stuff gets holograms and spider webbing under good conditions. I can see this tool doing a lot of damage
Dude our carwash plan costs $49 a month for 3 cars, me and my son go thru 3xWeek and my wife at least once per week. That's roughly 28 times per month. They are losing money on us. BTW it is a touchless wash.
The soap from those wash systems are designed to actually “strip” a micro layer of clear coat off the paint. That’s how they’re able to get the car clean with a system that basically uses a glorified pressure washer.
Another commenter said his bro owns a car wash and it costs 50¢ per wash. They’re probably not losing money. I used to drive an 18 wheeler hauling hazardous caustic chemicals. For a touch less car wash. Brush car washes scratch. Brushless don’t scratch but the acid soap eats a microscopic layer of clear coat off each time. Eventually you have a car with no clear coat. Hand wash is the only true way to clean and not scratch or not strip away your clear.
I can attest that these brushes do NOT scratch paint. Dont bitch and moan if you drive a POS car, no one cares anyways. If you own a Ferrari, you wont need one of these because you OWN a FERRARI!
Man, this dude basically works for Ryobi…I hope no one try’s this on their car because you will destroy your paint. Ryobi using this guy as an influencer for videos like this opens them up for legal liability.
With out a doubt "DO NOT USE THAT ON YOUR CAR". It's fine for boats and houses and plenty of things. Definitely not for a car. At least the paint parts.. Windows and Wheels are fine.
It's fine for a car,,you just need to get the blue soft head. It wont scratch like that one. Which the great one isn't to rough. But blue is pretty much made for cars
I own a detail shop. You are and will scratch your paint job. Always use a microfiber based mitt if you are doing a full contact wash. You also have a Ram product. Stellantis that owns ram uses very low quality clearcoat. You need to correct your paint now. Maybe use the Milwaukee polisher and make a video about it.
This thing would be great in scrubbing the inside of a pontoon boat. No way in hell if ever use it on a car, other than to maybe scrub the inside of the bed.
GMC is now 49% owned by China and 80% of all business conducted by General Motors is carried out in China! Europe and North America account for only 20% of GMs sales!! Conclusion...GMs are Chinese vehicles....so, not better!😉 Cheers from Canada 🇨🇦
I’m just here for the paint comments 🍿
🍿
Oh yeah that stiff brush will kill the clear coat sooner than later. Siding and decks are different.
I came here to dish em out, but looks like the work has been completed
that brush looks like it would scratch the paint?
I was thinking the exact same thing!
It 100% will
I recommend the blue soft brush for a car
yea that yellow one will, especially a black truck, you should be using the blue one
I wouldn't use the any of the brushes on the paint. Ever! I have one of these, without the water attachment, and its great for cleaning but I would never use it on my vehicle except for the wheels and possibly the bed.
OMG, a Ryobi scratch machine !!!
A plastic bristle brush on black paint. I just died a bit inside. They literally sell a car cleaning pad for this tool.
Proves two things:
1. Just because you CAN doesn’t mean you should
2. Having money doesn’t mean the person has sense
😂
@@dferg He actually says "I don't want to scratch anything" ! Yet this idiot is using a brush on his black paint.
@@dfergwhy would someone do this when you can wash with a glove and your hand? So dumb

I hope Ryobi paid you enough to make this video so you can fix your clearcoat in a few years after we all just watched you essentially wet sand it.
He won’t notice it until he gets a good look out in the sun
Lol
OMG Just stop, that will leave more swirls than the automatic car wash ever will!
I have the original version without the soap dispenser. I use solely on my rv roof, which cleans it so much easier than a scrub brush, and it saves your back. I can do the whole 40-foot roof, and both slide out roofs with a 6ah battery, and it's not even halfway drained.

Check Ryobi A95KMH1 microfiber head. It May cause less swirl scratches.

I've seen some bad reviews on this tool. Supposedly it break easily. I purchased one but returned it

I def see the use case for this, tall car roofs, windows..etc. but I’d never use this on my paint. Wish there was an easier way to adjust the angle
That paint is going to be scratched to hell. Nice. When I want to scrub off the paint I will use this.
Had to come back, Clint forgot to hit the like. Mission accomplished!!!!

Does it have a turbo?
Just walked by this a home deepy and it caught eye
That brush will damage the paint . You need to use the blue coloured brush which is softer
That will work great on tires
Maybe Ryobi can make a soft foam pad on version 2 because this will scratch paint no problem
This would be good on the vinyl siding. I'll stick to hand washing the vehicles. Faster and safer.
I need one of these to clean myself in the shower after cutting plastic trim all day
Get the blue brush it is better for your car ..instead of the yellow one it is to hard on your car 🚗
Just wanted to say hi Clint !!!!!!

I 100% thought the thumbnail was clickbait. .... Boy was I proven wrong.
