    for the question in the beginning - in a draft I was dead on board, drew The Deck of Many Things with 0 cards in hand, rolled a 20, returned a creature from my opponent's graveyard so I had enough blockers to not die, he still attacked with his army and I blocked with his creature so it died and I won. :D

    That was amazing how you finally got the 20 you needed when your deck was empty. Also, it was hilarious when you got the 20 on the first roll before you were ready for it during the bonus game. Fortunately, the opponent goofed when they could've slain your Thran Spider to end you.

      @11epicnoob Doubtful it was a misclick considering they only dealt 2 damage with surge. It could have been 2 misclicks (dealing 2 instead of 4 AND hitting the other creature instead of spider) but that seems less likely.

    Deck of Many Things is one of my favorite cards. It's so bad and so good at the same time.
    It has stolen wins for me, though. My favorite stolen win was against a zombie deck that had lethal next turn with a massive champion, and I stole their Fell Scorpion. Let it exploit itself, and they lost.

    • @GodlordBazi
      @GodlordBazi Рік тому +1

      Had a similar experience, though I wasn't the one playing the Deck of Many Things. Opponent rolled a 20, I exiled the only creature in my graveyard in response, so he got his own Goldhound instead, which he (most likely accidentally) sacrificed for mana one turn later.
      Before that happened, I got mana flooded as hell and my draw engine was probably somewhere arround the bottom of my deck, so this guy basically handed his free win over to me. It happened so fast that at first I thought he conceeded for no particular reason, until I noticed the Goldhound in his graveyard while analyzing the battlefield afterwards. :D

Reanimate a creature on d20 but only with an empty hand and with such a weird effect? Build a paradox engine deck around it? I don't think anyone did this before. This has some spirit of an old against the odds episodes. I love how creative you're and how good your videos are edited.

    I kept finding myself going infinite but couldn't pull off the win with Deck of many Things. I added a wand of vertebrae into the sideboard and I could finally pull it off consistently. shuffling Karns back into the deck and then using the -2 to bring the wand back to hand.

    When AFR came out, I was working like crazy to make a Delina dice combo deck that would win me the game consistently in Standard. It was too difficult to be viable, but Deck of Many Things did win me the game about two times in my hundreds of matches, and that's the kinds of wins that stick with you forever. It's much easier to get the D20 with two or three Pixie Guides and Barbarian Classes on your side, but also hard to stay alive long enough for that to happen.

I was doing a cute deck that had all dogs and cats with a commander being Rin and Seri, so the entire time i was just building up my field while they were building theirs. Every creature that I had which died was because my opponent exiled those creatures. This was hurting me a lot as I was losing this build up and I could sense danger coming, but as a last ditch effort I used lighting strike to kill one of his 1/1 creatures that was starting to stack +1/+1 counters. The next turn, he plays the deck of many things, gets a nat 20. Because all my dead creatures were exiled, he could only play his 1/1 that I had just killed. Then comes my turn where I put a +4/+4 counter on that 1/1 and then use a card that kills a creature if it's toughness if 4+. Since he used the deck of many things on that creature, I won the game. Only time ive ever seen that card win a game and it wasn't even for the person who played it XD

    Lol, I remember running a copy of Deck in a Golgari deck in standard. It was a dollhouse deck that could use sacrifice stuff to fill the grave

    I rolled a 20 once after an opponent attacked and I got to block them for the sweet win.

    Eruth, Tormented Prophet would be a better fit since it switches the draw into exile top 2 so youd never deck yourself. I wouldnt mind you replaying this with her in the deck to see how better it flows.
