I used to run an Immortal Prelate deck, and I too remember the pain of being unable to bring out the full potential of the card because some crucial element of the meta was stuck at the bottom of my deck. This seems easier on account of the "all" tribe, but I feel like it'll take swapping out certain cards in order to get the ones you need faster to make it truly powerful... and you'll probably have to run it in Wild to pull that off.

I dueled a friend with it to show him what i was working on and I DID give the amalgam poisonous with threads of despair... As you've probably already guessed this was a problem lmao. It became an infinite of poison killing it every time threads went off and threads ALWAYS goes off if it dies so... after about a minute to realize there doesn't seem to be a cutoff i just conceded. My friend could NOT concede and had to force close HS. So PSA don't give it poison and threads unless you are trolling your opponent :D
Just so people are aware you can spread amalgams deathrattle to other minions and they will keep it because it is an enchantment so if you want to just have the infinite taunt you can just spread to thunderbringer instead of the other way around
Would that work? The deathrattles will trigger in the order they were applied, which in this case would be thunderbringer then amalgam. It would summon a minion from your deck before it was shuffled in.
There are an uncountable number of ways you can enchant the Amalgam through spells and effects. There is definitely a deck out there that strives to give it every Hearthstone effect, and plus.
I very much enjoyed the game struggling to operate and even playing the amalgam on top of the deck twice. Lol I thought the phone was in the neighboring apt since I ran to chase a squirrel off my balcony that was stealing tomatoes. Then I went back and rewatched. Mark you are a treasure!
If you had Death Growled the main amalgam unto the amalgan without Thunderbringer it would have double Threads of Despair and another Thunderbringer, but would it shuffle itself twice ?
It'd only shuffle once I think, I remember testing some Prelate Death Growl shenanigans with a friend and, when we tested it with Saurfang, it ignored the saurfang deathrattle of coming back to hand
For higher chances, you can tutor the Bronze Gatekeeper with Tram Operator (or Timeline Accelerator in Wild), and tutor the Thunderbringer with either Taelan Fordring or Cattle Rustler (though the latter can draw the Amalgam instead).

I was trying to run the amalgam with mechanize in paladin with boogie down to resummon. Wasn't quite working. Glad to see it up and running with death rattle shenanigans. I was using the one that gives microbots on magnetize as well to go into crusader. It's a shame because I want to get the deck to work more than most.
Give a minion that does something on death immune, and give them the deathrattle twice. This way, they repeat forever. And you get infinite triggers. It'll probably be slow tho
What if you gave the amalgam the floppy hydra death rattle as well? Also the thunder bringer would in theory pull both the Hydra and the Amalgam out together. That would be fun. though I guess the grime walker poison takes care of that.
Floppy Hydra would kill the combo. As Floppy Hydra Deathrattle would mean it'd keep shuffling in basic versions of the Amalgam into the deck (Albeit with larger stats), making it less and less likely that the one with the Thunderbringer Deathrattle on would be pulled out.

So if it’s on the taunt amalgam as your elemental for thunderbringer and the hydra is the only beast cycling into the deck there would only be 1 beast and hydra in the deck? Or am I missing something? The amalgam would have its usual death rattle the thunder bringer death rattle and the taunt mech magnetized as our elemental for the thunder bringer death rattle and then you add the floppy hydra death rattle to it and have a beast through the floppy hydra correct?

As the copies are not dying when they're being put into your deck, they don't keep any buffs because cards don't keep buffs when they're moved from the board to another zone.
There's something so funny about wasting the time of those fast decks. The aggressive decks of people who don't want to play the game but rather have it over and done with asap. To just stall them in a deadlock untill they loose their temper and just give up. Satisfying.

If you wanna be real greedy I guess you could use the Undertakeh to copy 3 deathrattles at once. Or do it rouge so you can have infinite mana and attach a copying mech to it. That way single target silence effects won’t be a problem

If they nerf one of the cards for this combo, i hope it's thunder bringer, not the amalgam. I adore this amalgam, and Blizzard tends to kill cards. Just make it deathrattle: "summon a DIFFERENT elemental and beast from your deck"
The scary part is you can add ziliaq onto this guy then he would gain lifesteal as well as rush and divine shield and when you give it the death rattle to deal one damage when it dies then it also heals aoe and of course you have the poison this thing just gets more annoying as the game goes on what a nightmare 😂

It wouldn't shuffle itself twice. A card can only move itself to a different zone once, because it only exists once.
Yeah based on how the Zilliax recursive module deathrattle works with Untatakah (which I’ve tested for shudderwock) it only shuffles in once.
If it says “shuffle this”, only once. If it says “shuffle a copy of this”, then it shuffles twice.
Making your opponents concede during a theory crafting event when they’re not supposed to, love it

Aways is, the cards that get nerfed the most are aways the newer ones, so you can garante a net positive in your dust even if the meta shifts.

Getting stolen isn't a huge deal when you have Reska tbf. More likely to get silenced than anything.
