- This song is like a motivational anthem to me! Nothing will light a fire under your ass like this song can!
I don’t know about you all, I know this sorta thing can be a sensitive topic for some, but love both Meat Loaf’s and Jim Steinman’s versions equally! 😎 Jim Steinman’s version can be found on his Bad For Good album (1981) and of course, Meat Loaf’s on Bat Out of Hell II (1993).
I hope you guys enjoy this Smule Cover! I enjoyed singing this one immensely! 🖤🦇✌️
A true Steinman voice. Jim is smiling down from Neverland
Ah! Thank you, Michael!
jajajaja
I just posted this comment on Lauren’s Instagram page, but it bears repeating here. As I’ve mentioned, I’ve been a Meat Loaf fan and Steinmaniac forever! As such, I’ve heard almost every cover out there - some of them great, others grand, even others wondrous! But there’s never been anything like this - never anything like Lauren Bradley’s insane performances! And this one is immediately one of her very best! What a scorcher! It’s as if she burst off the cover of a Meat Loaf comic book, brandishing a weaponized frying pan in one hand and a flame-throwing microphone in the other! This is not really a cover, but rather a super-dose of lightning injected directly into the heart of the original, revitalizing it and making it even better than it was! It’s a shining example of why I’ve offered to contribute the first $2,000.00 to a Meat Loaf/JIm Steinman tribute album by Lauren, which now seems a little light after getting clobbered by the projectile pan that she so expertly deployed! Let’s make it $2,500.00!
Ha, you know, I thought reading this for a second time (just responded to this on IG), my jaw wouldn’t drop - but here I go having to pick it up again! 😂 I guess I’m kinda thunderstruck by these comments of yours each and every time! Thank you, Bryan!! Really - the support is tremendous!!! And like I said on IG, I’m just ecstatic that my interpretation of these incredible songs comes through!!
I completely agree. I have spent a decade looking for Meat covers on youtube, an incredibly small amount reach OK -at best. Lauren genuinely elevates the game to comparable( to Meat). I can think of no greater praise. In 1986 she'd be a global superstar, fingers crossed for 2022!
@@neildowthwaite Wow, Niel!! I can’t begin to tell you how much I appreciate this comment! THANK YOU SO MUCH! 🖤
I totally agree with you, having listened to Steinman songs, and especially the Meat Loaf versions since Bat was released I am finding myself listening to playlists of Lauren most of the time!! Maybe we can get the full Steinman catalogue from her over the next year or so..... please?
@@mickgange5167 Thank you so much!!! I can’t tell you what reading comments like what you just wrote mean to me!! I really appreciate this!! I definitely would love to get as much Steinman as I can on here, eventually! If you have any requests don’t be shy! I can’t promise it will be posted immediately, but I will get to it! Thank you so much for listening!!
Jim would be so proud Lauren. Doing so much justice to his songs and singing them even better !!

One of my favourite artists too and you are every bit as good as all the singers Jim has worked with and yes even better than some ! You sing with so much passion Lauren ! @@LaurenBradleyGivingOffSparks
Another wonderful performance Lauren, you're the answer to every prayer that I ever said!! Thanks for keeping Jim Steinman's songs alive.

Lauren, you blew past your other amazing performances! There was something about how you delivered it that that showcased the genius of the lyrics and composition more than I had ever been able to appreciate before. Thank you!

@@LaurenBradleyGivingOffSparks Can't wait till my sine heals to do MY version and shw ya.
@@LaurenBradleyGivingOffSparks do you know I have a CD? I'm no meat when it comes to singing, my talent is in the lyrics. but I hold my own. Search Johnny Louis...From the Heart.
@@JohnnyLouis1145 I absolutely will! Thanks for sharing this!!
This one was my absolute favorite to make. ua-cam.com/video/lmiAzHAIom0/v-deo.html
Another incredible version!!!!! Similar to blues singers, I think to sing Steinman songs, you don't have to have the greatest voice in the world, just sing with PASSION! But Lauren has both!!!! An absolutely terrific voice and all the passion in the world when she sings Steinman!!!! Keep them coming!!!
This is amazing!!! Thank you for the tremendous comment, Cliff! This really means a lot! I’m so happy you enjoyed this bc I enjoy singing this (and anything Jim lol) immensely!
Amazing. Really powerful and energetic. Just amazing and really in the spirit of classic Meat Loaf. Please, please, please do a cover of Meat Loaf's rendition of 'Going all the way is just the start'. I'd love to hear your rendition of his vocals on that track with the same energy you gave here. Brilliant stuff.
Thank you so very much!! I really REALLY enjoyed working on this song!! It's one of the many personal anthems!! Oh 'Going All The Way is Just The Start'! What a great idea!! I will add that to my "to sing" list for sure!! I'll keep you posted on when I'm getting close to it! Thanks so much for taking the time out to comment, I appreciate it immensely!
Brilliant!
Thank you, Stefan!!
You are very very talented! Congrats! I'm super fan of Jim's work and you, for sure, got a new fan now! Greetings from Brazil
Wow thank you, Régis! That really means a lot to me. Thanks so much for taking the time out to listen!
🖤🖤🖤 wow! You are amazing! 🖤🖤🖤 You are a true ROCK-GIRL! 🖤🖤🖤
Ahhhh! Thank you so much, Sandro!!! 🖤🦇
I can only echo the comments others have made. These covers are simply sublime and I listen to them as much as the originals. If Jim were still with us I am sure they would bring him as much joy as they do to me. Maybe he is still listening somewhere?
Wow, Andrew!! I appreciate your comment immensely!! Thank you so much for listening!! I can’t begin to tell you how happy it makes me when I read comments like this! I’m beyond thrilled you enjoy the songs!! Thank you again!! ✌️😎🦇

THANK YOU!!!! Love this comment!! Lol!!
Yes. She can!
How bloody wonderful!
Thank you so much, Eugene!!!
as ever you put in the passion the song deserves! Would be great to see you on stage with the actual Neverland express, I am sure you would blow the roof off!
Wow! Thanks sooooo much!!! I looooove singing this song! Singing with the actual Neverland Express would be a dream come
true! Thanks for this awesome comment! 🖤🦇😎
Hey there! Terrific cover. I’ve seen the Neverland Express live many times, with and without Meat, and I second the comment above! They need you in front of them that would be fantastic!! I can see an evening with both you and Caleb fronting that band. You really do Steinman’s music justice. A few of his songs that were recorded basically solo by Meat Loaf were reconfigured as male/female duets for the BOOH musical and sound fantastic that way. You are great!!!
Sweet. 😃👍
Thank you!
Hi Lauren. You were certainly on fire! I totally agree with all of Bryan's comments! And like he said: there’s never been anything like this - never anything like Lauren Bradley’s insane performances! When Meatloaf first came out, I bought his records. But then I got into all kinds of music: Big Bands, Popular, country, folk, classical, etc. so I kind of got away from listening to all of his music or Jim Steinman's music. So, you introduce me to many of the songs, like this one, that I haven't heard before-except recently by Meatloaf. And I find that you add fire to so many of the original songs! And the other thing that I have noticed is: your eyes tells the story along with your incredibly voice! It's like when I watch actors/actresses, I really noticed the ones that can act with their eyes. Not all actors do 'that.'..or do it effectively. And it really sets them apart from other actors. So, to me, that's another one of your great qualities! *smiles* Bri
Bri - Wow- thank you so much!!! It really makes me happy to know other fans of Meat’s and Jim’s are enjoying my interpretations of these miraculous songs! And - I am overjoyed that I have shared songs you haven’t heard yet!!! Singing these songs is cathartic for me in many ways, and I won’t bore you with listing them all, but one reason is I want to keep his beautiful work out there… because it’s glorious and dynamic and dramatic and should be heard! When you listen to Jim’s songs or Meat performing them, it’s like visiting another world you’ve always wanted to venture to. Hard to explain but you probably get it! 😂 Thank you, again! 🖤✌️😎
Lauren, I would like to venture back to the musical world of when I first came interested in good old rock and roll: towards the last 60's. Although there were many exceptions, I feel that the beginning of the end of rock and rock: started in 1970's. Of course, Meatloaf was from other world. *smiles* Bri
@@brifleming7835 He most certainly is from another world - or it feels that way when he performs. Truly astounding!
I just keep coming back to this version of the song. Incredible!
Ahhh!! Thank you for this!! I’m thrilled you enjoy it!! 🦇🦇
Great performance Lauren, sure Jim Steinman would love your version! And sure he heard you when you keep the final key "fire".
Ah! Thank you, Jerome! I appreciate this so much! I really hope he did!! 🖤
Little secret Jim Did hear her Do BOOH a few days before he passed maybe the last version he ever heard, and he gave it the Thumbs up, Golden Buzzer so to speak. So go check her version of Bat lol
聴き惚れました😁
Thank you very much!!!!
Lauren has a very distinctive voice, still listening to her Frying Pan... also one of the last songs that Meat sang live and so well that made many of us wondered if he would return on the stage... but then he died. But Lauren keeps the legacy alive!
Thank you so much! And very sorry for the late reply. It really means a lot to me that these songs, this tremendous music, never fades. Your comment really means a lot to me. Thanks for saying this!! :)
Most definitely yes! Rock N Roll!
Hi Dustin!! THIS IS ONE OF MY FAVORITE SONGS! Rock on!
I listened this Song Cover in February (2022) and later.
Great voice! Great song! Jennifer Rush - Ring Of Ice, would be nice too...
This is Jim's best song. Hands down.
Great job!
Thanks, Brian! I LOVE this song! It’s a personal anthem for me, so I can understand why it’s your favorite of his! Thanks so much for listening! 🖤
❤️❤️ this is my favourite of his. RIP and thanks for loving it.
I saq old Meat Loaf perform this song on TV just recently, I must say I prefer you singing it. if Ji, is looking down on you I am sure he would be very proud of you
Howard, thank you!!! What an amazing comment. Thank you so much for this and for listening!! I appreciate it!!! 🖤🖤
I have just watched Jim's "dance in my pants" video, how about you doing this one? I was amazed at how much yalent Jim had.
I LOVE Jim’s vocals in that one!! My kids love it too! Lol I guess I would have to find someone to sing it with or maybe sing both parts myself somehow! I’ll think about this, Howard! Thank you!
Only thing that's missing is the FULL intro too this song.
True!! 😂
What Bryan said Absolutely Awesome but then again, now come to expect nothing less Miss Xtra Loud
Miss Xtra Loud!! Nick you’re too much! Thank you!!!! 🤗🤗🤗
Maybe you you try out for the Bat out of Hell Musical. You sound better than a few of the actors from it.
Wow, thank you! There's some really incredible talent in that show - so thank you so very much!
Do you have a album
Hey Robert! Thanks for the message!! No album right now, well not yet! But that is def a goal of mine soon! I’m trying to find like-minded musicians nearby so I can put something together!
who disliked this?? SHAME ON YOU!!
Lol! Thanks! Oh well - To each their own, right? :)
@@LaurenBradleyGivingOffSparks Really hope you can do one of mine. Woulld love to hear a female's perspective on one of my non-duets
