Gen 5 sprites look awful with the way they move. Rather than the movement animation playing in a loop, it looks like it plays forwards then backwards, which looks completely clunky and unnatural
Honestly, I was just as surprised... cause this is literally the longest video in the series... well, not counting the Remakes. But either way, #1 or #3 is really, REALLY good. Especially for a Mon from Gen 5... for now, at least.

I find it funny how the final Excadrill set used in B2W2 speedruns is basically just a standard OU set (Adamant SD Quake Iron Head Rock Slide). The only big difference is that it has Sand Force as its ability, because it lets it you 2HKO a specific Magnemite with Mud Slap. I'm pretty sure using a stronger Ground move would trigger Sturdy and cause the trainer use a potion. Either that or Drilbur doesn't have good Ground STAB at that point. It's been a while since I saw the run.

Xatu's ability magic bounce makes it have a pretty good niche due to it been part flying to avoid spikes and having defog even if they manage to set up toxic spikes
I never understood why they had weather abilities as permernant. It was alright when only two pokemon had drought and drizzle but giving it to others without a nerf was a mistake. Making so many buffs to sand was also crazy
It was because Sand and hail had no offensive exploits prior to gen 5 and Rain/Sun we’re only available on two mons who were restricted. Politoed, Ninetales, Sand Rush/Sand Force were all that was needed to break weather.

Words can't describe how much I adore Excadrill. Gen V introduced some of my favorite Pokemon ever. Sand Rush sweeps were so much fun while Mold Breaker sets obliterated any Rotom-W, Bronzong or Latis thinking they're getting a free switch in. Excadrill is even better in SwSh because of the rapid spin buff. I hope Excadrill continues to be a staple in every gen.

Excadrill is so potent a partner to Tyranitar that it may have been the one thing keeping Ttar from falling out of OU. And now that it's gone, Ttar has fallen out...all the way to RU.
I think Corviknight deserved a special mention in the gen 8 part because, it is hands down the best Excadrill check in the entire game. It cares for absolutely nothing Exca can do. There have been talks of exca being too much or too good sometimes in gen 8 but Corviknight always rises in usage and completely shuts it down.
Excadrill: The one pokemon that showed how Tyranitar having a best friend is one of the scariest things to encounter in pokemon.
Garchomp is also another one.
And Hippowdon.
Tyranitar, despite the Dark typing, seems to be surprisingly sociable

I love seeing these with Pokemeon, but I would really appreciate a history of some of the items that changed the game. So, how good is EVIOLITE actually?
I thought I was unstoppable at first when trying an eviolite porygon 2, until my dreams were crushed by a knock off
It helped that Excadrill was such a competitive force, but man it's just one of my favorite all-time Pokemon because of how freaking cool it is.
Words can't describe how much I adore Excadrill. Gen V introduced some of my favorite Pokemon ever. Sand Rush sweeps were so much fun while Mold Breaker sets obliterated any Rotom-W, Bronzong or Latis thinking they're getting a free switch in. Excadrill is even better in SwSh because of the rapid spin buff. I hope Excadrill continues to be a staple in every gen.

"Kick in to first gear" is not something one does to accelerate. High speeds are universally achieved through gears with higher numbers.
Maybe in this case Excadrill has very long gearing and 1st is needed for quick acceleration

I get really tired of the bad use of idiomatic phrases and mispronunciations of words in these videos. Its so clear he's reading from a script somebody else wrote and there was never any read through to figure out what the thing's he's reading actually even mean.

I've actually been using Dynamax Excadrill in Raids and the Battle Tower and CHRIST it hits like a truck. You were not kidding, Excadrill is brutal.

Excadrill is so potent a partner to Tyranitar that it may have been the one thing keeping Ttar from falling out of OU. And now that it's gone, Ttar has fallen out...all the way to RU.
Why are mole pokémon always so badass? Both excadrill and dugtrio have managed to get themselves banned from OU at least once.

I think Corviknight deserved a special mention in the gen 8 part because, it is hands down the best Excadrill check in the entire game. It cares for absolutely nothing Exca can do.
There have been talks of exca being too much or too good sometimes in gen 8 but Corviknight always rises in usage and completely shuts it down.
Why better than Skarmory?
@@beta511ee4 Corviknight is a more offensive Steel/Flying, whereas Skarmory is a more defensive trap-setter. I think, I'm not an expert here.
