Datalogged with VCDS, car with factory tune pulled lots of timing on pump 93. Will release the stock 93 times in a few weeks after we finish gathering data on an Audi RS3.

That’s too bad. Likely due to the measly stock intercoolers on these cars.

@@pbpinftworth The first time around, we had a Unitronic Stage 2 Beta car. It was the third car I ever reviewed, so it was hard for me to put into perspective, but I was blown the F away. I was in Montreal for a trip and reached out to Unitronic to do an episode, but sadly, nothing ever panned out.

These engines are adviced to run on 98.
Audi says the minimum is 95.

Dude, like you said, it's hot as hell. Turbo engines, especially highly sprung ones, lose a ton of power when it's hot, not because of air density, but because it affects the cylinder air fuel detonation timing. In hot temps, some cars can totally lose it.

You already know I am beyond hyped for this episode
Stock it sounds good still. I love it
Review x2 yes. I see our resident race car driver is behind the wheel
The Mythos Black looks wonderful. Tons of potential in this motor
    The transitions are nice here
I like the new inlet scoops and bumper, the spoiler is cool too and the black badges now, are really dope
I think the front end looks aggressive tbh
3,200 lbs dude. It’s outstanding. Love that car
Did you short shift 1-2 gear? I think that’s what I heard
I love how short 4-5th is on this car
The view from the cockpit is so nice. I like how you can still hear the engine note even being 100% stock. Outstanding. Wow
I still like the sound of the stage 2 TTRS you reviewed earlier
Picky with fuel indeed. Sucks that it pulled timing so badly on the car. 95 octane would be very helpful in this engine. It’s a motor designed to be ran on E85 honestly.
Stock is faster in paddles? WTF 😂😂😂
    So the X6 won? ):
60-130 on this car is ridiculous for what it is dude. Now where is the 777 video at? 😂
Glad you guys got to re run it btw
    3.61 wow. That’s insane
I feel like that full 1 second of the car just bogging off the line is what keeps its 0-60 over 3 seconds. When the tuning comes in, it will gap
Great video Dan. Was good to see the lotus at the end too. I really enjoyed watching this. Was great to see

    • @DanWangFilms
      @DanWangFilms 4 роки тому +1

I figured you’d be one of the first people here for this one 😄
Personally, I’m not a fan of black on any car. So if it were up to me, it would be the green or Nardo.
So the runs in the video were done in Auto mode. The runs in manual mode didn’t get recorded, but that’s probably why the results in manual are faster (because the computer short shifts).
You can hear the engine note because I blend the audio with a microphone that I mount on the exhaust as well. But it’s pretty good in the cabin as is. But yeah the Stage 2 TTRS had downpipes as well so that made a huge difference in the sound quality.
The X6 didn’t race it that day but yeah the times it put down were faster than the TTRS on 93 octane. Which is crazy.
Car has a lot of potential. I’m glad you enjoyed the video. Maybe I can sneak one in the garage without my wife noticing.

    • @noblevengeance312
      @noblevengeance312 4 роки тому +1

Dan Wang lmao yeah. And I feel you. Manual is usually slower, so this was surprising. That’s cool that you blend the audio. Genius 100. When I get my TTRS and she’s stage 2 I’ll race your DME tuned X6 (assuming it’s DME tuned by then) and see what kind of numbers we can out down. I already mentioned I’ll be taking a road trip to New York to break in the car haha
Was a nice video man, hopefully she doesn’t notice the baby R8 crying to be driven, in the garage at 3 am 😂

My Turbo Blue 2019 just ran 7.9sec & 99mph for (220yds) 1/8th mile Dragstrip at Kingman Street Drags where the shutdown Route 66 for a week and put up grandstands and set up professional timing system and create a drag racing event each year. My TTRS is total stock except for Cold Air Intake and 100 octane unleaded. With original Hankook tires with 20,800 mi on them. Behind me was a 2020 Mid-Engine C8 Corvette who had his best qualifying time with 54 vehicles in the Pure Stock Class. Virtually all the vehicles were modified except my TTRS and the C8. We are both on new car warrenties. The winner of the Pure stock event had a supercharged Jeep with over 1000hp. I made the Semi's defeating all normal high performance vehicles! 7.9 & 99mph in 220 yds is seriously fast! So screw everyone who's not impressed by that! You probably got nothing! Or a C8 and you can't stand it that my TTRS might beat you. I don't believe he would have caught me in 1/4 mi.

You need to publish the numbers of 93 octane as thats what people are going to be using. The statement of putting a higher octane in the car to go faster is kind of obvious...perhaps cars you then compare it to would have gone faster still...

dumb comment. 650 hp vs 394hp. The TT RS with APR upgrade to 600 hp would beat the shit out your straight line Vette.

But you get healthcare and education from the taxes . Isn't that how it is over there ??

@@Random-b2o7y For the unemployed, the abusers, the immigrants yeah. I need to pay a minimum of 1800,- for basic healthcare per year. Plus 100 of millions per year go to the EU cause the south can't take care of them selves... besides these taxes we pay 0.5% to the banks just to have the privilege of having money on the bank. Also our income tax for most that do well is 52% then the government wants 1.9% per year over your total assets if you have more then 25k on the bank as well.

WTF is wrong with Audi. Running E20 is kinda cheating. Show us what it did on 93.

This car is fraudulently advertised in Canada as capable of Acceleration 0-100 km/h in 3.7 seconds. Thanks for the heads-up that this is only possible with the gasoline you have to make yourself, because they don't sell 95 Octane in Canada either. What a ripoff and false advertising on part of Audi. They just lost a a potential customer.

It can do that with 94 octane (which is available in many parts of Canada) as proven time and time again. Audi owners can rejoice you went with a different car. There are also places scattered across Ontario that sell up to 100 octane at the pump FYI.
