Datalogged with VCDS, car with factory tune pulled lots of timing on pump 93. Will release the stock 93 times in a few weeks after we finish gathering data on an Audi RS3.

@@SpeedLabsMotorEnvy yes I appreciate that a lot! An old camaro would be nice , but pretty much any old car would do , just to see how old cars do against this new generation of cars.
Dude, like you said, it's hot as hell. Turbo engines, especially highly sprung ones, lose a ton of power when it's hot, not because of air density, but because it affects the cylinder air fuel detonation timing. In hot temps, some cars can totally lose it.
Pretty interesting results... I know the VAG are often very sensitive to fuel, most good flashes like APR will make it smoother and consistently faster. Great vid as always
Timing is being pulled from high IAT’s (July and the stock ic is really inefficient ) combined with high EGT which the additional ethanol addresses. Try it again in cooler temps.

I figured you’d be one of the first people here for this one 😄 Personally, I’m not a fan of black on any car. So if it were up to me, it would be the green or Nardo. So the runs in the video were done in Auto mode. The runs in manual mode didn’t get recorded, but that’s probably why the results in manual are faster (because the computer short shifts). You can hear the engine note because I blend the audio with a microphone that I mount on the exhaust as well. But it’s pretty good in the cabin as is. But yeah the Stage 2 TTRS had downpipes as well so that made a huge difference in the sound quality. The X6 didn’t race it that day but yeah the times it put down were faster than the TTRS on 93 octane. Which is crazy. Car has a lot of potential. I’m glad you enjoyed the video. Maybe I can sneak one in the garage without my wife noticing.
Dan Wang lmao yeah. And I feel you. Manual is usually slower, so this was surprising. That’s cool that you blend the audio. Genius 100. When I get my TTRS and she’s stage 2 I’ll race your DME tuned X6 (assuming it’s DME tuned by then) and see what kind of numbers we can out down. I already mentioned I’ll be taking a road trip to New York to break in the car haha Was a nice video man, hopefully she doesn’t notice the baby R8 crying to be driven, in the garage at 3 am 😂
I own an 04 tt roadster with only 90k miles and has the 1.8 and I love it. Might not be the fastest for most but its pretty fast to me. I cant wait to mod it and get it up to 600hp. When I get the money. Thinking about selling it to try and by a quattro.
@IMGONEIN60 The standing mile would be so cool, but no airstrip around here can even facilitate that. I’m barely able to the ½ mile on the one right now with enough braking zone. I’ll try to re-run some of the other cars on the strip so we can at least put a ½ mile time on them.
My Turbo Blue 2019 just ran 7.9sec & 99mph for (220yds) 1/8th mile Dragstrip at Kingman Street Drags where the shutdown Route 66 for a week and put up grandstands and set up professional timing system and create a drag racing event each year. My TTRS is total stock except for Cold Air Intake and 100 octane unleaded. With original Hankook tires with 20,800 mi on them. Behind me was a 2020 Mid-Engine C8 Corvette who had his best qualifying time with 54 vehicles in the Pure Stock Class. Virtually all the vehicles were modified except my TTRS and the C8. We are both on new car warrenties. The winner of the Pure stock event had a supercharged Jeep with over 1000hp. I made the Semi's defeating all normal high performance vehicles! 7.9 & 99mph in 220 yds is seriously fast! So screw everyone who's not impressed by that! You probably got nothing! Or a C8 and you can't stand it that my TTRS might beat you. I don't believe he would have caught me in 1/4 mi.
@GeeFK Awesome man and that’s great! This car is getting the IROC ECU next month. Basically going FBO. Maybe I’ll bring it back for some racing when he’s all done.
Hey dude, I commented on your previous stage 2 TTRS video last year and it was one of the reasons why I went out and bought one for my self! now had it 11 months and absolutely love it! One thing to note, not sure if they done the same with the american version but in Europe thwe FL TTRS has an OPF filter and slightly different ECU mapping, its actually slightly slower than the pre-facelift!
@Zazu Hey! I’m glad that I was able to inspire you to buy a TTRS. That’s an interesting note and we had thought about that when were trouble shooting the slow times. It’s amazing how emissions can really numb the performance of a great car sometimes.
That depends on your needs, do you have a family of 300 that you need to move on a daily basis? Or may I suggest a G650 for your weekend needs. Smaller, but significantly faster acceleration and I’m assuming better handling.
@P Life Here’s the thing, I think I would take the TTRS over the RS3 personally because the interior feels more premium and the cockpit layout is more driver-centric. However, I’ve had this conversation and my wife would rather me get an RS3 before a TTRS. 😄
