I had a mk7 golf r, had the revo stage 1 and gearbox map. The car was awsome. I now have a saloon rs3, it been revo 1 tuned with a tvs map. For nearly 3 years. Its never missed a beat. Really wakes the car up. Just this weekend i had an update on the map. And i have crackles and burbles under 3k revs now. And the launch was savage. 1st to 2nd gear was slick like all one gear. Really impressed. Revo software is well worth the money 😊
It really is quite astonishing what a software upgrade can make. Your expressions on your face gave away your preference for the update Bex. Enjoy the car and have fun.

Just a question:
When you install Revo software do you have to calibrate it for every car? and if yes; what do you actually have to calibrate?
@@P_M21 No its not calibrated for every car, there is no need. There are different switchable modes to suit the ron of the fuel and logs taken to ensure the engine is delivering what it should.

Great video and it's so good seeing the process as well as the effect. One question - did you find your insurance increase much when (if) you told them? I always worry what mainstream insurers think of performance mods like this at our age. Thanks!
Im with admiral and it was £9.50 including the admin fee to change this so virtually nothing :)

Ace! I was going to put a stainless steel backbox on my MX5 and was scared off by the insurance increase, might not be so bad after all 😁
@@jamesthomson3511 I’ve played around with quotes and found exhaust didn’t make a difference either if that helps

So this one doesn't have the RS sports exhaust? Think i prefer the sound... Still has the mid and high frequencies but less bassy. The RS sports exhaust sounds a bit tractor like sometimes 🚜

How many launches do you reckon done in your TTRS? Does it tolerate them well? Considering buying
Probably around 6 or 7 in the year I owned it. Audi are known for tolerating launch control extremely well!

I'm glad you said that! I have a 2.0 Zetec turbo in a Westfield, the TPS went wrong and I've fitted a new one. It's flying again but isn't quite right - idle a bit rough, mpg poor (22.3) slight lack of smoothness back and forward when on part throttle (bit like an almost imperceptible misfire although I'm sure it's not one) and pops and bangs back through the silencer a bit too much. I'm not sure why after just a TPS change so it's off to be dyno'd and probably remapped the end of this month. I hope they can find the issue cos I have no idea what it is atm.
I would never run a car like this on normal fuel. If your cars mapped to v power it will be better on fuel when driven normal
The map is tuned for the normal fuel until prices drop! It is the perk of revo software that as soon as prices drop, I can take it back and get it switched
